"Are you really THAT stupid to ask me why?" Allen asked. She probably was. She had actually even bothered to ask, after all.

There she went with being demanding again. "Stop telling me what to do," he said, not going to give her his name unless she practically forced it out of him. "You're not my mother."

"Can you go five minutes without insulting me?" The vampiress retorted. She was rather aggravated. He just HAD to be so darn stubborn.

With her hand extended, Odette marched over to him. She grabbed his arm and pinched him. "Tell me your name."

Allen folded his arms over his chest. "Can YOU go five minutes without ordering me around?" he questioned in return. It was in his personality to insult and hurt others. She was just going to have to get used to it if she wanted to hang around him.

He flinched when he pinched her arm, eyebrows furrowing as well. "I'm not telling you my name, and I'm NOT taking you to that dance! Find someone else to take you!"

Odette shook her head. "No. I can't." She said firmly.

She pinched him harder. "No! Everyone else annoys me." He annoyed her too, but for a different reason. She didn't care as much about going, now she just wanted to force him into going. "Tell me your name."

He wasn't going to be able to get out of this. She was just as stubborn as he was, there was no doubt about that. "If everyone else annoys you, then just don't go!" Allen flinched again when she pinched him. "Agh! What's wrong with you?! Leave me alone, I'm not taking you to some stupid dance!"

Odette let go of his arm. "Fine!" She started marching off in the other direction, but she ran into a music stand and her foot caught on the base. She tried to catch her balance, but she fell over anyway.

"I hope you know I blame you for this." She said sulkily after a moment. "I think I've sprained my ankle."

Good. The nuisance was leaving him alone. He watched as she walked and tripped over a music stand, sighing inwardly. She needed a cane, or a dog to see for her, or something... she couldn't go one thinking that she could do this forever.

"I think I've sprained my ankle."

Allen laughed softly. "Then I guess you won't be able to dance, eh?" he questioned. Oh, this was so much fun. He was really enjoying teasing her. "And my name is Allen. Allen Haldis."

"I suppose not. Thanks to you." Odette replied accusingly. "So much for being able to do something fun for a change...getting out...meeting people." She said with a sigh. She didn't like going places and she didn't like meeting people. But she still wanted to force him into going.

She smiled slightly when he said his name. "Nice to properly meet you, Allan." She said.

Allen looked at her. The faintest hint of guilt beat within his heart of stone as he looked at her. She was such a pathetic being... a vampire, and yet, she seemed so very vulnerable. He wondered how many times she tripped each day because of her lack of sight.

He walked over to her, extending a hand down and taking hers. "Here, I'll help you up," he said quietly. He couldn't believe what he was about to say. It seemed he still had a bit of a proper English gentleman in him after all. "And I'll go with you, if you feel up to it after you hurt your ankle."

Odette's cheeks turned pink when he took her hand. She hadn't been expecting him to give in so easily, and then be nice. She took his hand and stood up slowly. "Thank you...for both." She said softly. She made sure she kept her weight off her ankle.
