"No, I won't."

"Heh, yeah, you will," Allen said to her. He would get it out of her. Both of them were stubborn, but one had to give up eventually, and it wasn't going to be him. Which, of course, meant that the one to give up would be her.

"Thank you for helping me."

An eyebrow rose. "Well, it seems you have manners after all," he said, insulting her and yet complimenting her at the same time. "You're... welcome, I guess."

Saying that had been rather painful.

"Heh, yeah, you will,"

"No, I won't." Odette insisted. She was just as stubborn as he was, and she was not about to give in.

"Well, it seems you have manners after all,"

"Shocking, isn't it?" She replied sarcastically. She had plenty of manners, she just usually didn't bother using them.

"You're... welcome, I guess."

"That must have been very hard for you." Odette said teasingly, but she was serious at the same time.

"No, I won't."

"Yes, you will," Allen said, not even slightly annoyed. He could keep up this fight for as long as he needed to.

"Shocking, isn't it?"

He smirked. "Indeed, it is. I thought you were just another one of today's children who had no respect for anyone in this world except for yourself." And that was true. He didn't know how old she was, so he was just assuming that she was at least from this century.

"That must have been very hard for you."

He snorted. "Oh, trust me, it was," he told her, not being sarcastic in the slightest.

"Yes, you will,"

"No, I won't!" Odette, on the hand, was getting frustrated. She wasn't used to people not giving in to her.

"Indeed, it is. I thought you were just another one of today's children who had no respect for anyone in this world except for yourself."

Odette laughed. "Hardly! I may not be as ancient as you, old man, but I'm old enough to have proper manners."

"Oh, trust me, it was,"

She just smiled in reply, with a slight shake of her head.

"No, I won't!"

She was getting annoyed, he could just hear it in her voice. Time to frustrate her more. "Yes you wiii-illlll!!" Allen said in a sing-song voice. Most people didn't like sing-song tones, and he hoped that she didn't either.

"Hardly! I may not be as ancient as you, old man, but I'm old enough to have proper manners."

The man glared at her. "I am NOT an old man," he said. "I'm just... eh... I'll think of a word later." He shrugged, pausing. "And if you're old enough to have manners, then maybe you should use them."

"Yes you wiii-illlll!!"

Ugh. That sing song tone annoyed her. "No I wo-on't!" She replied, hoping the same sing song tone would annoy him.

"And if you're old enough to have manners, then maybe you should use them."

"You're older than me, but you don't use manners." Odette reminded him.

"No I wo-on't!"

Ha, so she was using that voice on him too? It was battle time! "Yes you wi-ii-ii-ii-iiiilllll!" Allen said, smirking and trying very hard not to laugh. A few giggles slipped through, though. He really did enjoy tormenting her.

"You're older than me, but you don't use manners."

The immortal snorted. "You expect me to be kind after I've seen how cruel the world is?" he questioned. "That's not very bright of you."

"Yes you wi-ii-ii-ii-iiiilllll,"

Odette laughed when he giggled. "No, I wo-oooooo-oo-oooooo-ooon't!" She replied.

"You expect me to be kind after I've seen how cruel the world is?"

"You think MY life has been good? Not even close..." She said. Tears started coming to her eyes, but she blinked them away. She didn't want him to think that she was weak.

"No, I wo-oooooo-oo-oooooo-ooon't!"

Oh, she was getting complicated on him! Well he could deal with that. "Ye-es you wi-iiiii-iii-iiiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-iiiiiillllllllllll!" Such a petty argument.... but it was a fun argument. Could even really be called an argument?

"You think MY life has been good? Not even close..."

Allen looked at her. He was silent for a few moments, contemplating whether or not he should apologize. "Well, life isn't cake," he said. "And I won't lie and say it gets better. Sooo have fun with immortality."

It was his way of trying to cheer someone up.

"Ye-es you wi-iiiii-iii-iiiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-iiiiiillllllllllll!"

Odette took a deep breath. "Oh, no...I...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T" She sang in a high, operatic voice. Beat that...

"And I won't lie and say it gets better. Sooo have fun with immortality."

"You have such a great way of cheering people up." She replied dryly.
