It was refreshing to get out of the apartment because of something else than work or the mission. Brünhild hadn't gotten a new person to call a friend in a long time, and she was rather excited to be able to get to know Geo better. Geo was a rather stiff and formal individual, but charming in her own way and Brünhild found many of her qualities endearing, if not even lovable. The way Geo strived to better herself and how her gestures had a feline feel to them.
She and Brünhid were now going to get lunch together, on their mutual free day. Brünhild had timed the meeting to match her meal plan perfectly, and picked the establishment to serve her needs. Living with such strict limiters was sometimes tiring, but you got used to it after 80 or so years.

Brünhild was waiting for Geo before the restaurant they were supposed to dine in, it was a place that had detailed information on what ingredients they used on their food and the exact amount of calories on each serving. It was rather practical, and handy for someone like Brünhild.
Brünhild wasn't worried about Geo's punctuality, she was quite sure the woman was going to be on time.

Geo had not been lying about doing research because since the day they agreed to get together the cybernetic organism was busy searching exactly what one did on a date. What you wore, what was expected of you and all the other things she might need to know. Originally she had purchased a strapless black dress as many sites seemed to recommend wearing something a long those lines to a dinner date.

Then she had gotten the message, it was for lunch. After a bit more research Geo decided that a different outfit would probably be for the best. The day before the lunch she went out and purchased some new clothing and set it aside. The day of she got ready and left her residence to meet with Brun at the appointed place.

Geo walked up to the establishment, exactly on time of course, wearing a knee length black skirt with a white blouse and black flat shoes. The outfit was recommended to her on a site that talked about what to wear on lunch dates. It had also suggested make up but that was too much for the former cop, but she had decided to use a bit of tinted lip gloss to add some shine to her lips. When she spotted Brunhild she smiled but then wavered a bit, her companion was wearing the same clothes that Geo had seen her wear at work.

This was a date, was it not? Maybe Geo had misinterpreted everything, it would not be the first time something like this had happened to her.

Brünhild could smell Geo's scent before she turned to look in the direction the other woman arrived from, already smiling slightly. Brünhild saw Geo had clearly put effort into her outfit, she looked formal and quite pretty. Brünhild blinked once, she didn't show her surprise on her face.
"Hello Geo. You look very nice, I'm afraid I'm slightly underdressed."
Brünhild said once Geo got close enough and smiled slightly wider, Brünhild's outfit of a black shirt with sleeves up to elbows, and dark blue jeans were very much overshadowed. But Brünhild didn't mind, as was seen from her casual reaction. She glanced at Geo's lips, they looked slightly shinier and luscious, had she used make up?

"Then, shall we?"
Brünhild asked, and gestured towards the entrance of the establishment. Insise there would be people dressed similarly to how Geo was dressed, people in sports attire and people like Brünhild, just casual.

Geo was calm on the outside, even managed to smile and nod to Burnhild and follow her into the establishment, on the inside though her processors were being run to the limit. She had researched everything to do but one thing she did not look into was what to do if everything went wrong.

Part of her was sure that it was not so, Brun perhaps just always liked to dress casually like this. Everything Geo had seen working with the woman would indicate this to be true so perhaps there was nothing to worry about. Still Geo was so focused now on every little thing she was not sure what would happen.

After they entered the establishment they were guided to their seats and Geo sat down across from Brunhild and attempted to get comfortable in her seat.

“I have never e-eaten at a r-restaurant before.” she said tilting her head to the side as she looked at the menu. “I-in fact I have never eaten much sssolid food before, mostly a nutritional paste that was created s-specifically to keep my organics alive. This should be interesting.”

As the words were tumbling out of her mouth Geo noticed two things, the first being for some reason her vocal processes were in over drive and words kept coming out. Second was that damn glitch was back, something was causing it and she started to work on a diganostic in the background while talking with Brun.

“I am ssssorry about that. I am usually n-not this talkative.” She placed the menu down and looked over at Brunhild. “Still I-I am glad you agreed to this, it made me h-happy you wished to spend time with me.”

Thankfully the two were seated on cushioned seats that were not by a window, so Brünhild could actually attempt to relax and her senses weren't overloaded by visual stimuli outside the window. Brünhild picked up the menu, starting the process to relax her muscles one by one, and looked over at Geo as she chatted away. Brün took a note of her stuttering, as well as how unusually talkative she was. Or perhaps Geo was stern only at work, Brün wasn't that familiar with her outside of it.
"Have never eaten at a restaurant? In that case I hope this will be a pleasant first experience."
Brün said, deciding not to really comment on the rest. She was aware of Geo's nature and how she was part mechanic, part organic.

"No need to apologize for being talkative, I always enjoy a good conversation."
Brünhild admitted with a small smile, tilting her head slightly. The fact that the promise of her company made Geo happy was flattering.
"I find your company enjoyable, so there wasn't a reason for me to refuse. Rather, I thank you for coming with me despite having to leave the restaurant of choice and time to me."

"I-It is not a problem, as long as I intake s-su-sustenance then my organics will continue to operate." She said smiling before looking down at the menu. "I think I will have steak and... what is cheesecake?"

She tilted her head to the side for a moment and then looked up at Brunhild.

"How does o-one make a cake out of cheese? Cheese is a savoury dish and not a sweet one, is it n-not?" Geo looked back down at the menu and then shrugged. "Hmmm. I will ha-have to try it."

Setting the menu down she placed her hands on the table and folded them together.

"Also sorry ab-bout the errors in my speech." As this was being spoken she was checking her internal diagnostics. "There seems to be a slight d-delay between my vocal p-process and my organics. Like I am a-assimilating a large amount of data f-for them to keep up causing a delay. I-it is rather strange."

Brünhild opened her own menu and started carefully going through the options, every meal had the exact amount of calories in it and other details about the dish. Brün nodded a bit in acceptance to herself. She looked up at Geo when she wondered about cheesecake and Brün's lips twitched a bit.
"Cheesecake is made of cream cheese and sourcream and then flavoured with sweeteners. Or at least that's what I've come to believe, I have never eaten some myself."
Brün looked down on her menu and found the cheesecake. If she left out appetizers and only drank water she'd be able to order some herself.
"I shall get cheesecake too, and some chicken paella."

Brünhild had been wondering what Geo's stuttering had been about, but just then she explained it, although even then Brün didn't completely understand the reason for it. Well, she didn't mind, it was somehow charming to her.
"Your speech is still clearly discernable, I hope the malfunction won't affect your inner processes any more seriously than that."

"I-I am sure it will be fine." Geo said, picking u p the glass of water in front of her and taking a sip. "There i-is a background diagn-nostic running to find the source."

She set the glass down and looked about while they waited for a waiter to come take there order. Geo set her hands down and took a look about at the place before diverting her attention back to Brun.

"This is a n-nice establishment, are all restaurants s-similar t-t-to this?" Anyone listening could tell that the android was not used to making small talk, but she was trying her best. She had read somewhere that it was a thing to do when two people went out together. "It is v-very pleasant."

Luckily Geo was saved for the moment as the waiter came back and asked for their order. As stated before Geo ordered a steak, cooked rare as her research said was best, and then a piece of cheesecake for after. She did not get a drink as water was fine and then she decided to wait for Brunhild to make her order and the waiter to leave before saying anything more. Turning her attention back to Brun as the other made her own request for food she couldn't help but smile, something she did more and more around her co-worker. There was something about the presence of this woman caused Geo to be more at ease. It was a feeling the ex-cop was not used to experiencing, but one she rather enjoyed.
