Eein Dresden

The first hail shard would hit his cheek, his right eye flinching ever so slightly from the unexpected impact. Focusing a bolt of lightning would shoot out but miss the second shardd, though not by much.

Focusing he'd attempt to conjure another bolt to stroke down any other attacks. Unfortunately he'd discover he couldn't summon the lightning quickly, no it'd take thirty seconds to get out another bolt, leaving him open to attacks.

Huilu's attack landed, and she frowned ever so slightly. She decided not to use any attacks that pierced the skin, and instead only use blunt attacks.
Huilu created a wall of ice about the same size as Eein and sprang it towards Eein, pushing him against a tree. She noticed he still couldn't launch lightning that often, let's see how he was going to get away from between the tree and Huilu's ice wall, that she now attempted to wrap around Eein to restrain him.

The ice wall surprised him, he hadn't been expecting that. It'd quickly have him pinned against a tree, he'd growl, his hands shifting to dragon claws that lashed out at it. He expected a lot out of himself, he'd keep pushing, he wanted to be the best.

His miniature cloud would crackle, regaining it's lost charge and finally it'd release a bolt of lightning on the wall. It was a bolt of pure lightning, to cracked and shatter the ice.

With its wielder free the storm cloud would vanish, Eein's storm ability was spent for now. He'd breath hard, focusing on reforming the cloud but it didn't appear, he was at his current limit and that was unacceptable to him He'd curse, realizing he was possibly not reaching his own expectations.

Huilu's ice was not one to break from few slashes from dragon claws, her ice had the endurance and hardness way beyond that of normal ice. It held firm, and Huilu added a bit to the strength she was pushing Eein with, so he'd have trouble moving his arms.

When Huilu's wall finally broke she evaporated it and took a stance for her next attack. But it seemed like Eein was at his limit, and Huilu relaxed and dusted her clothes off a bit. Eein was clearly not happy, and Huilu knew he was being too hard on himself.
"Small steps, Eein. It is a fact that you cannot master a skill in a day, it requires practice."

"I can.....should be better," he'd say, whipping a bit of sweat from his forehead, "I will be better." He had to be the best, he'd accept nothing less from himself, demanded it from everything he did, no matter what.

Taking a breath he'd focus again, he'd manage to make a brief puff of cloud appear and nothing more. He'd sigh, the storm wasn't listening to him, his connection to it was exhausted, drained for now.

"Give me a minute and we can go again," it was obvious that it'd take more than a minute for him to get going again. He was going to end up pushing himself to hard.

Huilu frowned, now besides worry she was feeling slight irritation as well. Stubborness she was used to, she was the leader of a dragon clan after all and a dragon herself, but Eein's actions were bordering of foolish and self-destructive. And she wouldn't let Eein break himself down.

"No."
Was all Huilu answered to Eein's words, and he would hear in her tone firmness and authority she hadn't used with him before.
"This is enough for today. Anyone can see your body has been pushed to the limit, and it would be pure stupidity of you to continue this exercise when you and I both know nothing but harm will come of it. I will not let anyone under my wing get hurt because of their own lack of judgement. So as your guardian I'm telling you to go home with me and rest. And if you refuse to obey you cannot cook dinner for three weeks."
Huilu was not budging, and her every word was certain and true. Even her expression was of stubborness even greater than Eein's. But in the end it softened a bit, and Huilu went over to Eein and touched her hand to his upper back.
"You will become strong, Eein, you have all the tools to be strong. But I am here to make sure you do not abuse those tools and hurt yourself. So let's go home, and continue tomorrow."

With those words Huilu would, without hearing any objections from Eein, take the young dragon home.
