Adelene was in a good distance away from the campus itself. It was her usual spot when training with her weapons, mostly because even with the gunshots, nobody ever really searched for her there, or tell her to stop. It wasn't like she was shooting living things; she had set up good target boards by dead trees and she'd shoot them from different lengths of distance.

She was shooting with her pistol. She started at ten feet, and then twenty, and she'd still hit all the points she had to. Next was thirty feet. Her pistol dissolved into fine black crystal particles and turned into an M16. It was a heavy rifle, but she had no problem carrying it, as she shot her target, and then moved to forty feet, and then went to the opposite side of the lake to gain even more distance.

It was her usual training routine. She was, actually, starting to get bored, but she knew better than to let her skills get rusty. She needed every skill she can acquire to assure herself safety. Even in this island, she knew meeting someone who'll attempt to do evil deeds out of greed was highly possible.

Today Lights student's had all been sad over something personal, something that they all shared in common. Someone in class had been run over, though they had been very lucky and survived for the first and secondly they didn't seem to have taken any vital damage. Light knowing Dark would gain time from this, couldn't help but use his powers to lift the spirits of his students.

When all but the last student had left he got a headache burying his head in his hands as usual. The student who said this walked up to him wondering if he was okay, his respond was to drain her will, leaving her defenseless and sucking her blood. He left her there to rot, with no will to do anything and no laws to make her obey Dark, he didn't need such filthy and weak slaves.

Dark walked around the campus scanning for potential blood banks or slaves as usual whenever he woke up from one of his time lapses when he saw a female student change a weapon into a bigger one. There was something about her, having recently feed his instincts to find prime blood had subsided so he wouldn't yet know she had special blood.

He didn't want to use his powers so soon after having used them earlier but maybe he could use his skill based taming techniques though for that he had to earn her trust to lure her home with him. By now he knew that he usually was a teacher during his time lapses, at first it was just a hunch that grew bigger and bigger for every time he woke up in a classroom but what finally tipped him of was a student calling him a teacher.

He had a way in, the only problem would be where to go from there "Hey, my name is Mr. Black, I am a new teacher here but i cant possible believe that the faculty allows firearms." smiling as innocently as he could manage without getting an overwhelming feeling to kill someone.

The voice of a man startled Adelene instantly. She jumped from her spot, a terrified gasp in the air, before she turned to the stranger and hid her rifle behind her in a panicked manner. Of course, she couldn't really hide it. The rifle was big and she was short. And besides, the man who introduced himself as a teacher already saw what she was doing.

So much for setting up some silencer for her guns. She's been compromised.

But the teacher wasn't a stranger, she realized. She sees him in the hallways, every now and then, and rumor has it that he was a very kind and gentle teacher. Many students like him, apparently.

"I... I'm sorry, Mr. Black," was all her guilty mind could come up with. It was true, using firearms outside classes that needed them were not allowed in school, but that was why she trained by the lake. Still, she couldn't help but feel like she actually committed a violation. "I... I was shooting at the direction of the forest, s-sir... I promise, I made sure my bullets won't stray to the academy!" She tried her best not to stutter but it couldn't be helped. Her blood was rushing, her heartbeat was too loud. Her mind was going frantic, wondering if she was going to be suspended now. "Am I going to get punished?"

He continued to play the nice guy, however hard and unsatisfying that was though he did wonder if he would go to far into the role. "Normally that would be suspension but I am willing to let it pass because of your safety measures" He had no idea of what he was doing as he usually time lapsed around schedule, though he knew he needed to get her on his side since he had seen and knew that her powers where about weapons.

His time lapses was quite handy as it meant he could search for walking prime blood banks or other such things to further his goals and not do any of the boring things while cashing in all the credits and cash for hard work he didn't do, though it bothered him, something was wrong with him but now wasn't the time to think about that.

"Is there an of switch on that thing?" Oh he knew all about regular weapons and some very limited weapons of powers but not enough in a long shot to determine anything about her or her powers. The reason why he asked was to pull her into further discussion which he then could use to branch out and as for a second reason, well he needed to be seen as innocent. He could use his powers on her but he didn't want her to accidentally pull the trigger, he wasn't quite that interested in how it worked that he would loose his head even if it was behind her.

"U-Uhm..." Adelene was a little pale. The news of probable suspension shook the nerves out of her, and when Black said he'd let her go, she quickly heaved a very heavy relieved sigh. "Thank you, Mr. Black. I... Off switch?"

She looked at her gun. Although she used her power to summon it, it worked and was designed identically as the real thing. There's a small 'safe' switch on the body of the rifle, to which the gears inside would lock so that its holder would have no risk of pulling the trigger and shooting off a bullet somewhere unintentionally. But after that, she decided it was probably much safer, and it would look better in front of a teacher, for her to just call the weapon back. The rifle started to dissolve into fine black shiny particles before seeping into her skin. Adelene then shyly held her hands together behind her and asked Black, "Was that what you meant? I've hidden it, so it's okay now right? I'm not going to do it anymore... I promise."

Dark opened his eyes as much as he could without looking weird hoping it would sell the performance as to look like he was truly impressed. Now he only needed to figure out how to respond with words how he would if he was in his time lapse mode, unfortunately he had no idea what that could be though he thought it must be something he would not say in a million years. "Could you show me how you do that?" This was good stuff, with that single line sounded like he was interested for real and he may be able to find something out.

"Um... Do I have to..?"

Honestly, Adelene was getting a little wary. Black had already seen her ability and... as much as possible, she didn't want to give him a second time. Despite having many friends now, Adelene still didn't like trusting people. In this whole island, only two have gained it.

That means refusal. It was all over her atmosphere that she didn't want to do it again. She smiled apologetically, bowing her head a little. "I'm sorry Mr. Black. Wielding my weapons tire me out if I do it repeatedly in short time. And... I honestly don't feel very comfortable knowing that someone is watching..."

She was afraid Black would get angry. But it didn't matter more than how she wanted to protect herself and her powers. Black would have to forgive her.

He cursed internally, curses which would make Satan seem like a saint, with all of his will he summoned a mr-nice-guy smile "I understand, but if you get fatigued be sure to see the school nurse.". What would he do now, he was initially against using his powers because of the time lapses but maybe he needed it this once time. Being forced to use his powers for trash wasn't his idea of fun.

His eyes would seek hers but he changed his mind in just the nick of time, she was stronger then his previous pet that vanished and he wouldn't risk getting startled and attract unwanted attention as for the eye thing he would just blame it on manners, to look into someones eyes when listening or speaking with someone. "I want to raise the schools average so for every grade above F you get in history i will allow you to practice" maybe this would lure her to spill some information or open her for the possibility for him to watch her train.

Adelene seemed to loosen up at the news. Her lips curved up to a wide smile, nodding in approval. "You mean if I don't have Fs I can practice and not get suspended?" she seemed really happy about that condition. "Thank you Mr. Black! No wonder the students really like you. You're really kind."

She didn't really know what she should do next. There was an awkward pause, an awkward silence, as Adelene didn't know what to say or if she should just leave.

"Oh. By the way, Sir, what are you even doing here? It's very rare for me to see a faculty member here by the lake." Yes, that one works. She was genuinely curious, too. Because after all, this was her first time to get caught.

"Yes, I was thinking 30 minutes for every grade above F and then 30 minute additional for every grade above grade E" Whether or not this was too much was a discussion he could have with the faculty whenever he time lapsed. Yes, what did he do there, what good lie could he tell.

"I like to take walks and see if there is anything I can do to students" This was a half truth, not really intended as he meant to say what he can do for students, in which case it would have been a full lie. He sat down on a nearby bench "Mind if i rest here for a bit?" he wanted to see more of her abilities, see what he could learn and she would probably not deny the nice teacher, he would laugh if it had not seemed weird.
