Lonan continued to follow her, staying right at her side. He was glad to leave the metal box. Walking was always a better way to get anywhere.

He barked excitedly when she mentioned going home.

"I can take ye!" he shouted, and immediately shifted into a tall, slender horse. His shoulders came up to just over five-and-a-half feet, and the top of his head was closer to eight feet. He was finally looking down at her.

He moved in front of Crista to block her from the parking lot.

"I'm faster than a car! I'm prettier than one, too."

Crista sighed as he turned into a horse, taking a step back. The girl had never particularly liked Horses, and the fact that this one talked was more annoying.

"Well then it's lucky that I don't drive a car." She said simply, crossing her arms under her chest and frowning at Lonan. "Could you please step aside?"

"I can't just let ye walk home," Lonan said, and stepped closer to her.

"Yer feet must hurt after being on them all day. Ye deserve a break. All ye have to do is climb on, and then ye can relax while I carry ye home."

He lowered his head in an attempt to look harmless.

"Are ye scared? I promise I won't drop ye," he lied.

Lonan was starting to feel confused.

Teasing him like this — saying she was scared when she wasn't — was just mean. He wanted to listen to her scream and cry in terror, but apparently there would be none of that.

He snorted when she kept walking towards the vile metal contraptions.

"Ye just said ye don't have a car..." he muttered, feeling even more confused now. "What are ye going to do, steal one?"

Crista kept walking deeper into the garage, smirking back at Lonan.

"Just because I said I don't have a car, doesn't mean i don't have a ride." Crista said, cryptically. A few seconds more, and a red motorcycle with a sidecar came into view. It was sitting parked in a lonely looking corner of the garage, and Crista smiled when she saw it. She pulled a key out of her pocket and started approaching the bike.

"You can go now." She dismissed Lonan, waving him off with a hand.
