“Right, let’s head out then, which do you think your friend would prefer the sword or the bow? If I may inquire into who this friend is?” Miles didn’t know many people at this school so he was hoping to meet more people and if they were a friend of Naka’s they are probably a good person. “The weapon will probably come out with something electric based about it. So I would probably recommend the sword.” Considering he might be making someone’s birthday Miles would have to do his best work. “I also have to log its results in my compendium when we’re done with it.”

Miles’s compendium didn’t have a lot of information in it yet. It showed that if he applied just his powers to a weapon it would come out a flame based weapon. Since he was doing this for Nakata he might as well work on his sword to. A flame sword might come in handy. Grabbing his suit case Miles got ready to head outside. Thinking about working in the cold put a damper on his mood though. Hope doing this will keep me from freezing.”

Nakata nodded and thought about the cold blue of electricity and how it seemed so chaotic but calm at the same time.
"The sword is more her styre. Her name is Sorcha, she's from irerand. I was actuarry wondering, you said magic weapons. Is there any way to make them have a mentar effect? For instance, emotionar contror." He asked. He agreed about the sword, the bow was for him to use in the future and he had some design specs he wanted to add to make it better.
"And is there a way to put a ring on the handle to attach something to?" He was interested in giving her a blade that would help with her emotional control, thus allowing her to use her power more freely.

"If it gets rogged into your book this might be the start of a great career."

“I would probably need something from a creature that has control over the mind and its functions. My power doesn’t consist of emotional control so I can’t add that onto their without a base that does.” Miles considered the possibilities of a sword with emotional control. “If you know of a place where we can find material with mental powers like that Naka then sure by all means. As for the ring I can probably make my hands hot enough to manipulate the metal into a ring.” Miles didn’t know what the ring was for but it sounded simple enough. “I guess I can hold off on the sword if you want us to go look for materials. We can train while we’re at it.” Miles also thought that he might be able to find something for his own sword. “I like the idea though so I’ll support you on it either way your choice goes.” If he made a sword for this girl Scorcha he might start getting request from others. “So, what’s the relationship you have with this Scorcha?” Miles was going to try to have a little fun with that question.

Naka smiled and was suddenly glad he picked this particular item up.
"I already have something like that." He said pulling out a few more jars and the octopus looking tendrils.
"These are the mouth tentacres of an irrithid. Ill-i-thid. They use psychic powers and conjure mind brasts. I got it in the same place I got the shock rizzards as werr as some other things." He said as he started pulling the other parts out he had kept. The hand was there, and skin he had made it into leather as well and was pretty set on making a coat out of it but if it could be used for this he would be happy.
"I am interested in her. She has been a good friend and I want her to have a good birthday. The ring on the end is for this." He said as he removed a the claw he had severed from the bear that he had killed with a rock and a stick from his bag.
"It's the craw from a bear. It's to bring her strength."

Miles reaches out and took the bear claw from Naka to look at it. If he had bought it at a store it would have probably already of had the ring. “I don’t know what you were doing to run into bears and these ellethuds but if there is any kind of liquid inside the hand I can use that. But if this Scorcha is interested in you might start to worry her.” Thinking to himself about why illithids would be around here Miles wondered where around this school they could be and why he would tell Naka about staying out of danger was something he couldn’t believe. “Forget I said that Scorcha thing, I have a little metal plate in my bag I can use to make the ring, since were using the brain-monster stuff on your sword could I use the shock lizard materials on mine.” Miles wondered what kind of girl this Scorcha was to get a sword that could control emotion for her birthday. “If start learning how to do enchant weapons yourself now, it would come in handy later.” Miles wondered to himself how this Scorcha must look.

Naka put the hand back in his backpack and pulled out a vial labeled "hana-mizu" (snot) because that was what the illithid blood reminded him of. It was a dull greenish color and was pretty gross as far as its appearance went, but he handed it to Miles anyway.
"The pran was to watch you and try to remember as much as I could." He said as he withdrew the sword and handed it to him, along with the bear paw he had gotten. It had been from a huge bear but he was certain Sorcha would love it. He also withdrew several items from the shock lizards and held them aloft.
"What do you need? Fangs? Craws? Heart? Liver? I have most of the rizzard parts." He asked, unsure exactly what to hand him.

Humans slept a lot. Part of the reason Tien had been housed in a dollhouse was so that she could wake up and move around without interrupting her dorm-mates' sleep. Unfortunately, as no TVs or books had been miniaturised quite enough for her, there was nothing to do in her living room after nightfall. She'd tried sleeping in her bed, but she'd had three hours of sleep today and that was more than enough. Annoyed, she'd left through the front door and noticed that Naka was gone. Naka was Her Friend, and Sorcha was His Friend, and they were both very nice, though they sometimes said things that were a little hurtful. She didn't think they meant to, however, and that made all the difference.

Eventually, after looking exhaustively around the school, Tien gave up and flew outside. The woods were a much more active and interesting place after dark; hunting owls, little mice, all sorts of animals who woke up when the moon rose. She was on her way there when she saw two human boys, and upon closer inspection - for it roused her curiosity - she recognised one of them as Her Friend Naka. Pleased as punch, she flew closer, completely unremarked, and listened as he spoke to the other human. That must be a new friend of his. Tien felt very proud of him for going around making friends all the time. She was finding it rather difficult.

"Her name is Sor-sha," Tien butted in, circling above their heads as she scrutinised the newcomer. While she couldn't spell the redhead's name yet, she could pronounce it. "What are brain-monsters?"

The wide circles narrowed as she decreased altitude smoothly, landing delicately on Naka's shoulder and stepping closer to give his ear a kiss. She'd seen lots of humans kiss each other like that - well, she'd seen them kiss on the cheek, but she might fall off if she walked that far forward - and it seemed to be what friends did. Wings folding neatly back, she regarded the pair with wide violet eyes. "And what's a rizzard? Naka, is something happening?"

Sorcha was headed back to the school, not paying attention, her thoughts on her recent practice session, when she belatedly realized that there were people in the courtyard. She had purposely tried to avoid contact with anybody, she knew she looked a mess. She was dirty and sweaty from her constant struggles trying to control her powers. And to top it all off her emotions were not reliable at the moment, she was a mass of confusion. It was always like this when she used her powers. It sounded so easy, get angry create a force field that throws metal blades, get depressed throw some weight around. But she couldn't seem to get a handle on which ones or how long any of them were going to appear.

As she got closer she realized that it was Naka, Tien and a new kid. She saw them standing there with numerous items being shown and commented on. She continued to walk, hoping that Naka wouldn't see her like this. She could go up and shower real quick and come back down, wishing that he would still be down here. She saw Tien flitting around Naka and decided that she was going to like the fairy, she didnt seem like a bad sort at alll. She tried to skirt around them through a group of other kids. She was listening with half an ear as she scooted by and then stopped when she heard her name.

Miles stared at the fairy; it was amusing to see so much energy in something so small. “Sorcha I see, my bad. Naka sure has some interesting friends” Looking at the sword in his hand Miles said, “Let me do this first then I’ll have to have to talk to you a little more.” Miles set the sword down in front of him and reached for his bag. He opened it and pulled out a plate of metal. He held it in his left hand and heated his right up to be able to mold the metal. Miles then stuck his hand on the plate trying to heat it up. Once it was at a point he could change the shape. Miles rounded it into a ball and began to carve out the hole in the middle. After it was in a ring shape he split a section so he could put it through the bear claw. Making one end of the ring sharp, he put it through the bear’s claw. Then he proceeded to heating the bottom of the sword. When both the ring and the sword were hot enough he attached them together. “Now, to let it cool off. I’m going to have the sword absorb the blood into it during the enchanting to, well give it its traits.” Miles turned to address the fairy “My name is Miles and what would your name be little fairy?” He had seen fairies but never talked to one. He wondered what a fairy would do in this school.

Nakata watched the forging process, it seemed reasonably straightforward and the process was not dissimilar from reforging he had seen in the past but with some supernatural energy. He enjoyed watching the process and enjoyed the sight. The sword was already well forged and he confident that it would make an excellent present for Sorcha for her birthday. With that he turned his head toward Tien.
"A rizzard is an reptire that... you know what how about this." He said reaching into his backpack to grab a picture of the shock lizards to show to Tien.
"These ones drink brood and and erectrocute you yosei-san." He explained.
