Morgan was once again haunting his favorite retreat. The weather was warming up some, but not enough for it to be pleasant. Although the chill in the air didn't bother him too much. His sable wings slowly beat behind him, stirring up gusts of wind. As Morgan gazed out over the brave souls moving about below him, he sighed as he felt aura momentarily flare up. Someone must have gotten close enough to trigger the effects of it, although he didn't know who else would be up this far on a day this cold.

Morgan lifted his hand and started at his palm for several seconds before sighing and letting his arm drop back to the cracked concrete slab he was sitting upon. It was odd in a way, the area he was in seemed to be comprised of a pale, white stone. Yet Morgan's hair and wings stood out in stark contrast with the background. A blotch of ink on a white canvass.

He reflected on his self imposed solitude. Even after telling himself he was better left alone as to avoid any unfortunate accidents with his aura, whether he had a handle on it or not. Maybe it was time he branched out and got some friends, he had even met someone earlier last month who seemed cool. "Yeah. Right." He muttered bitterly to himself as he continued to gaze out across the courtyard below.

Aodh had for once had a day when he hadn't attached his head on once. It had been a quiet day at the vet and all the people that had come had been okay with him being headless, and afterwards he had walked back to the campus headless. The classes had been interesting enough. It had been a decent day.
And still, Aodh felt melancholy. Like always.
Dulla was trotting next to him as Aodh climbed towards the roof, his head in his hands. He was wishing looking at the big sky would make his problems feel smaller. Tacky, yes, but it MIGHT help.
"Are you alright Aodh?"
Dulla asked in his mind, and Aodh sighed. He looked at her, so loyal and kind. So unlike him. Did Aodh truly deserve Dulla? That was what he so often wondered, since...that night.
Aodh smiled sorrowfully and shrugged.
"Am I ever?"

Aodh put his head in his bag when he opened the door to the roof. He felt the cool air hit his body clad in a black jeans, white shirt and red cardigan, matched with his hair. Aodh could see through the leather of his bag and was grateful for the cover it offered from the breeze. Dulla pushed him aside and ran to the roof, enjoying the open space. And then she turned her head and froze.
"Um, Aodh, we're not alone. There's...a person?"
Aodh froze and turned his body so he could see where Dulla was looking at.
The person looked like an angel of revenge when he stood by the edge of the roof, looking down. Aodh thought that if he was an artist he would like to sketch the scene, and as a homosexual quickly made the notion that the person was attractive. But, after all, Aodh was Aodh and he wanted to escape.
Aodh was about to turn around when Dulla ran to the person, tail wagging and panting, and Aodh knew immediately what she was planning.
"Dulla, no!"
Aodh wanted to grab his head and throw it as far away as he could. Why hadn't he said it telepathically?! He was so used to talking to Dulla out loud so he instinctively shouted. And now he froze where he stood.

Morgan jumped slightly a whirled around. He had been so lost in thought he hadn't felt the presence of others in the area. The commotion startled him, and as he turned, his wings reflexively unfurled to their full span, feathers ruffled in an attempt to make Morgan's lean frame seem larger than it actually was.

His featureless white eyes quickly surveyed the surroundings. After a few moments, he deemed that the two standing before him were not a threat, although the dog did cause Morgan to tilt his head. His gaze softened momentarily before he quickly repaired his emotional defenses and went back to being a blank slate. He folded his wings back as the tension seeped out of his body.

Morgan crossed his arms self consciously as the wind tugged at his T-shirt. "I don't normally see a lot of people up here, is this your spot?" He asked, his voice had a soft and lilting quality, yet he spoke with enough inflection to be heard above the wind.

As he spoke, he consciously pulled his Aura back in order to avoid any unfortunate mishaps. Shaking his head slightly as he felt the acidic burn of anger in his chest, he reached out his hand. "Where are my manners, I'm Morgan."

Aodh didn't flinch when the person spread his wings. Instead he admired them, an animal lover that he was. The way the feathers aligned with one another was a prime example of Aquila chrysaetos and the color was exquisite. But the person folded them pretty quickly and Aodh was a little disappointed. Then he snapped out of it and fished his head from his bag. His enchanted scarf was already on him, all he did was set the head in place. It was nice that the person didn't seem to mind Aodh's headlessness.

But the person's eyes were a little eerie, they were so white. Aodh had always thought that his right fire red eye and left pitch black eye were intimidating, or at least that's what people's reactions told him. Although Aodh stood his ground and didn't back up or actually jolt he felt surprised, not in a good way.
But when the person tilted his head and the expression in those eyes softened when he looked at Dulla Aodh couldn't stop the corner of his mouth twitching. Anyone who could appreciate Dulla couldn't be a bad person. And Dulla was a good judge of character and as she went to sniff the person and told Aodh
"He smells good!"
Aodh knew for good he wasn't a bad person.

Aodh heard the person's soft, fleeting words in the wind, barely, and proceeded to lifting his hands and shaking his head briskly.
"No, this isn't my spot. This is actually the first time I have climbed up here."
Aodh's long red hair was in a loose ponytail and he could feel it swaying in the wind gently behind him.

The person introduced himself as Morgan and Aodh caught himself thinking it somehow suited this person, though he wanted to smack himself for being so tacky. Oh well, today just happened to be a tacky day for him.
"Aodh. And this is my guardian Dulla."
Dulla barked as a hello and the words he said in Aodh's mind almost made him laugh.
"I want to lick his face."

Morgan settled himself back onto the concrete slab he had been seated on. Although just then, he took another look at the man standing across from him. He'd witnessed a great many things when he had lived with his mother, although he couldn't recall if he'd seen someone similar to the man before him. He shook his head as if to clear the thought and then sighed as the wind tugged at his clothing yet again.

"What brings you this far up? Usually most people avoid the rooftops and towers during this time of year, if you don't mind me asking." Morgan said a hand through his dark tresses. "I need a haircut" He thought to himself as he winced thinking about how disheveled his hair must look.

He was still on edge, although he wasn't as wary about Aodh and his companion. "He's actually kind of handso-" Morgan quickly killed the thought as soon as it had risen from the depths of his subconscious.

"Now is not the time for that." He berated himself silently, all while keeping his emotions masked.

Aodh was relieved that the person, Morgan, felt comfortable enough to sit down. Because Aodh sure wasn't that comfortable. He shuffled his feet a bit and reached behind his head to tie his hair into a bun. He wanted to keep his hands busy while he listened to Morgan talk. Normally, even after the accident, it was easier for Aodh to have a convesation with someone if he was alone with them. It didn't work now. Maybe he was just too sad today to actually feel okay.
Aodh watched as Morgan reached up as well and swipe his hand through his hair and almost forgot to answer.
"I think I needed a place where I could be closer to the sky. And since I can't fly..."
Aodh shrugged and finished tying up his hair. His neck felt a bit chilly and he wanted to yank his hair free all over again.
Dulla was circling just outside Morgan's personal bubble and was begging Aodh to ask Morgan is she could lick his face. Aodh certainly was not going to ask that but he sighed and looked away from Morgan and at him again.
"Dulla would like to know if you would pet her. She seems to like you."
Couldn't Aodh have said those words any more suspiciously?!

Morgan's wings ruffled as he nodded to the explanation provided. "Flying can be nice, but the wings are annoying at times." He said whilst gesturing behind him with his right hand. Morgan unconsciously shifted his wings again, painfully aware that he'd just drawn even more attention to himself.

Morgan was slightly distracted by Dulla circling ever so slightly. He had the strange thought of a group of sharks circling a fish, although he shook his head in order to keep himself from laughing at such an absurd thought. "I don't mind, I've never really had the chance to have animals around. Dad was pretty adamant about not having any." Morgan said with a small smile.

He glanced at Aodh for a second before he fixed his gaze elsewhere. "You're an interesting person, most tend to stay away from me. Let alone climb up here at this time of year." He said softly whilst shrugging. Although there was no sadness or melancholy in his tone. Just a frank matter of fact tone devoid of all emotion.

The minute Morgan said okay Dulla pounced next to him him and put her head on his lap, waving her tail furiously. She waved it so hard she almost knocked herself down. Now Aodh just had to let out a small burst of laughter but he covered his mouth quickly and looked away, trying not to laugh more. Dulla's love of people was so funny.
"Too bad for ye, animals make yer life better."
Aodh said and smiled back a little. He was able to look at Morgan without snickering now, even though Dulla was still sitting by him adoringly.
"I wanna play with one of his feathers."
"Okay, that ye definitely cannot do Dulla."
Aodh caught himself saying and then wanted to throw his head away again and save himself from the humiliation.
"Sorry, Dulla was askin' somethin' ridiculous."
Aodh said blushing a bit and glared at Dulla who was looking at him innocently.
When Morgan said most people would normally stay away from him Aodh frowned a bit. Why?
"Yer don' seem like a person they'd avoid exactly, if ye ask me."
Aodh said honestly. Like, of course Morgan seemed like the loner type. But why would they avoid him? That's just rude.
"An' I climbed up here 'cos I was feelin' tacky today..."
Aodh mumbled at the end.

"I bet, I've always liked crows though." He said with a small smile. Morgan slowly petted Dulla as he raised an eyebrow at Aodh's comment about not doing something. However he chose not to comment and simply nodded politely. These two really were strange, they didn't seem off put in the slightest. "It could also be the fact I'm suppressing my aura right now." Morgan thought to himself, although he shrugged subconsciously and returned to the conversation at hand.

Upon hearing the question, Morgan's brow furrowed as he tried to figure out a way to best answer without scaring Aodh and Dulla away. "Well, I guess you could say I have a few gifts, well, curses in my view of things. They usually make it harder for others to stick around, but they're not too bad when I'm in trouble."

Morgan trailed off as his wings shuffled again. He felt oddly cold, which was rare as he was well acclimated to cold temperatures. He shivered in spite of his resistance. "Could also be that I get my social skills from my mother." Morgan chuckled, although it was a sound devoid of all happiness, containing only disgust.

He sighed softly before fixing looking back up from the ground to Aodh. "I'm sorry, you don't need to hear me prattle on about my family issues. Forget I said anything." Morgan said with a small but cheerful smile.

"Ye look like ye would like 'em. Ye know, 'cos yer hair is the same color?"
Aodh chuckled, mostly because that joke sucked. But it was true, Morgan's hair was a pretty awesome shade of black. He had never seen anything like it. Aodh noted, that Aodh seemed kinda...tense? Or then he was just imagining it.

When Morgan said something about his abilities Aodh tilted his head a bit. Why wasn't he going to the details? Was it painful for him?
"I guess plenty many people on this island have they're fair share of curses. Don't misunderstand, I ain't sayin' yers are inferior or anythin'. But I ain't feelin' anythin'. Are ye doin' somethin'? Is that why ye seem uncomfortable?"
Aodh was a bit straight but his curiosity had taken the helm.
"An', again, if ye ask me ye seem nice enough for me. An' I ain't even got low standards. Besides, Dulla like ye. I trust her judgment more than miselfs."
Aodh didn't like the disgust in Morgan's voice, it reminded him of himself. Aodh put his hands on his hips and let them rest there. He was still standing in the middle of the roof. Why wasn't he moving?

Aodh shrugged and looked at the sky.
"All need to vent sometime. An' if ye ain't got no one else to do that at then why not the stranger with detached head and a huge dog?"
