The Quiet Boy Moves In

Emil rose his eyebrows at the sudden seriousness from William. That was... Bitter, but surprisingly insightful. Not something he would expect from him, either way. Well, he supposed everyone had different facets to their personality. No surprise that there was more to William than what meets the eyes.

The boy could practically see the gears turning in the other boy's head, but he did take extra care to keep his telepathy dormant for now. Wouldn't want to be invasive now, would he? Pretty easy to figure out that looking into someone's head without asking was going to be unpopular.

He did smile at the encouraging words however. He had to admit that he had been expecting the worst the first minutes of talking to William, but he really wasn't that bad. He could get used to this, he figured. Yeah, he didn't mind this at all so far. "Thank you."

William raised his head surprised wondering whether he had heard the boy right. However, looking at him now he could really say that the boy seemed grateful for something, although he was not sure what.

You're welcomed, I guess., he said, shrugging his shoulders and looking to the side. Warrior still stood silently at the corner while Spirit sprawled across the floor, sleeping, his harsh breathing filling the air.

I hope you don't mind him. he said, pointing to the wolf creature. He's used to having the other half of the room for himself. It shouldn't be long before he wakes up, considering this would be his I-just-woke-up nap.

Emil turned to look at Spirit, examining the... Canine-looking thing. He didn't mind the creatures William summoned, they seemed friendly enough (even if Warrior scared him). If anything, they made him curious. He couldn't read them, only ending up with a harsh buzzing sound if he tried, implying that their thoughts were on a completely different wavelength than his own. Furthermore, he was still new to this whole supernatural thing. He had no idea how summoning worked, or what it actually was. Yes, the concept made him more curious than anything else.

Emi turned back up towards his roommate and shook his head. "No, no. I don't mind him at all. It's quite alright."

That's good to know. he said, smiling. Because he takes so much space that sometimes I really wonder how the hell did he ever come from me., his words were followed by a soft scoff, yet one could see so much affection in his eyes that the bitter words could never be taken as real. As if he could hear their words, Spirit suddenly moved, taking even more space.

Seriously. William laughed. For someone who acts as if he's a thousand years old all the time, he is such a pup when he sleeps. His bitter attitude melted by the second, and suddenly he felt suddenly tired himself. Yet, he could not sleep, partly because of his roommate, partly because he had classes in the afternoon and had to be awake for them.

Warrior, do you think you could get me some coffee? he asked the silent creature as he stood up again, stretching a bit, only to recieve a look that would make penguins shiver. Please? he asked again, and the creature moved. It would not speak yet, but as of sometime ago it did have enough of a mind of his own to be able to refuse to do stupid things such as that, unless nicely asked.

Bring some for Emil as well? he yelled as if in the afterthought a few seconds after the creature has left through the door, to which he received no answer, but could feel that the creature was displeased.

Emil smiled in turn and looked at Spirit as William spoke. The affection there was obvious and it was clear that the other boy cared for the creature. You didn't have to be a mind reader to understand that much. Warrior still unnerved him, but such a powerful-looking being fetching coffee was rather humorous, he had to admit.

When William made requested a cup for him as well, Emil cringed inwardly, however. Call him childish or weak, he really couldn't stand the beverage. Not that he was going to mention the fact or show it outwardly however, that would be impolite, right? He didn't want to seem ungrateful, as he was still fully intending to make a good first impression, whatever that took.

He could see on William's expression (plus the fact that he ordered coffee) that he was growing exhausted however. It wasn't that late. Then again, he didn't know the other's sleep schedule. Perhaps this was indeed late for him. "Are you tired?"

Yes, somewhat. he said, turning to his roommate. I haven't moved all morning, so standing up all of a sudden is bound to make me feel sleepy. He stretched once more, feeling his muscle burn in his legs and back, before he smiled, adding. That, or the Spirit's laziness is suddenly contagious. Again, as if he could hear him, Spirit's body moved in his sleep, trying to trip him. Hmpf. he scoffed, just as Warrior came into the room again.

Thank you. he said, taking a can out of the creature's hand, getting a sharp nod in return. Here, catch. he said to Emil, throwing the can his way.

Emil nodded. He could relate to being drowsy, maybe not from slacking off a whole day, but from staying up full nights with barely any sleep, either studying or with his telescope aimed at the sky. He laughed a bit when William made another comment about Spirit, sending another glance at the wolf. It was rather cute in its own way, even if he was not really a dog person.

Here, catch.

Emil looked up at William's words. Oh, Warrior was back. He hadn't noticed, actually. As the can was thrown, Emil scrambled forward to grab the can, ending up falling back and gripping it tightly with both hands. Never sign this guy up for baseball.

He sent a glance down at the beverage in his hands. Alright... He had... To drink that. "Um...Do you have any sugar?" He just realized what he said once he had said it. Dammit, he was already inconveniencing them.

Sugar? William asked, raising an eyebrow. Don't know, I don't usually use it. he said, opening the can and takind a careful sip because the drink was still hot. Check the first drawer on the left, though. he added after a few seconds of thought, yawning. It's full of unneccessary junk I'm too lazy to throw away, maybe some ended up there by mistake. I think I remember stealing a bunch of small stuff from the cffeteria some time ago becusee the lanch lady pissed me off.

((I can totaly picture William being an idiot like that, thinking that counted as some kind of revenge xD also, sorry it's short, but I'm in school, bored, and writing from my phone xD))

Emil didn't voice his opinion about William's sense of justice, but he was cringing inwardly. Sure, his roommate did seem like a good person, but he was probably never going to condone that kind of behaviour. The lunch lady might have been annoying in some way, but that did not justify stealing things from the cafeteria. For one thing, theft was theft. For another thing, that wouldn't even affect the lunch lady in any considerable manner. This was just taking things from the school itself.

Of course he didn't show his thought on the matter (Not wanting to get into an argument), he just opened the drawer and began rummaging through the various items. Wow, William hadn't been kidding. There was quite a lot of different things in here, many of which Emil could not come up with any reasonable explanation for. After a minute or two of searching however, he did manage to find two paper tubes of sugar, which he promptly ripped open, poured into his coffee after mumbling a quick "Thank you" to William.

After a moment of hesitation, he sipped a bit of the drink Eeeeeech. Even with the sugar, he did not understand what people saw in the bitter beverage. He did do his best to hide his reaction however, playing it off as simply burning his tongue. Dismissing the drink after Warrior walked off to get it for him would just be rude.

William failed to notice any of his roommates inner thought. He was quite perceptive at times, where he could be bothered enough to try, but at others, he was as blind as a rock. Warrior was a different story though. The silent creature was perceptive at all times, as such things were still the very core of his existence. He moved silently from the corner, disappearing into the hallway, only to come back in a few seconds, bringing Emil more sugar. He stretched his hand silently towards the boy, waiting to see if that was what he had wanted, while William looked at him curiously, yawning again, before taking another big sip of his coffee. He hoped it would come in effect soon, he had classes in... a quick look at the watch... three hours.

'Hey, look at that.', he said as he looked at the drawer Emil has opened. 'I think that was supposed to be part of my science project.', he said, pointing to a weird looking green thing. 'No wonder I couldn't find it anywhere.', he laughed, emptying the can, and throwing it in the bin accross the room.
