The Quiet Boy Moves In

Emil looked up at Warrior, surprised, but not exactly upset. Sweetening the drink would certainly help him on his way to finish the cup at a reasonable pace, so he just reached out and took the paper tubes with a "Thank you, Warrior." towards the large creature. He sincerely hoped the large knight didn't know what exactly he was thinking. The last thing he wanted would be to get into an argument with the tall, muscular thing carrying multiple swords.

Emil gave the green mess in the trash a dubious look, looking between it and the can. Science project, huh..? He didn't want to be rude, but at the same time, knowing that kind of mixes you couldn't be too careful. He looked back up at William, hesitating for a second before speaking up.

"Um, no offense or anything, but what was in that mix exactly?"

God he really hoped William wasn't going to take that the wrong way.

I honestly have no idea. William said picking up the green thing and poking it with his finger. It seemed like jello under his skin, cold, and mushy, but flexible in a way, like those weird things you buy in a box and then throw around, sticking it to the wall and driving your mother crazy. Well, at least that's what he had done with them. He cast a look over to the other boy behind the once-a-science-project-now-a-jello thing, seriously doubting he had ever drove anybody crazy... Except maybe everyone of his peers with his polite way of speaking. Not that there was anything wrong with it, really, it simply meant that the boy was well mannered ('Unlike some people', he could just imagine Spirit saying something like that in his head), but well mannered didn't really pass as good with kids, right? Well, whatever. Let's see how far he can jump, ne? he thought to himself, and smiled.

Here, why don't you try having a look at it? he said, throwing it straight to Emils face.

Emil extended a hand to advice William to stop touching... Whatever that was. Knowing college science, there could be anything in there. Corrosive, poisonous, acidic. Who knows? Then again, the boy was confident in his motions and it really wasn't his place to question that William did with his belongings, was it?

And then William picked it up and threw the aforementioned, possibly dangerous piece of gunk towards Emil. The other boy let out a...Surprising scream and tried to dodge out of the way. Suddenly, a burst of force blasted out from Emil, scattering things across the floor and toppling over various items. The once-science experiment was launched far away and hit a wall, sticking tightly to it.

Slowly, Emil was able to control his breathing (and in turn, power) as he looked at William. For just a second, he actually discarded his manners. He didn't exactly appreciate his personal safety being put at risk.

"Don't do that."

Hmm... I forgot you can do that. William said (he couldn't help it, he had a concentration span of a goldfish), humming, as he focused his eyes on the boy, his hair and clothes a bit all over the place now, as if they were hit by the strong wind. You'd make a good fighter if you weren't that nervous. he suddenly said, grinning, his eyes wide opened and focused, no trace of sleepiness in them as he looked at Emil with clean, burning gaze. He was thinking about for the last several minutes, ever since the boy told him what he could do, but now... Now he was sure.

Too bad you're a bit of a chicken. he sighed, tilting his head to the left, thinking about that last retort, which wasn't all that soft spoken at all. You could be really wicked if you wanted to. he said, his wrists twitching as he now itched for a fight. Good thing sports club had a training scheduled for today. And I would just love to go against you... Or, well, at least against someone like you.

Oh no. He had blown up. Or, well, Emil's idea of blowing up anyway. He didn't want an argument he really didn't. He was just about to begin apologising when William began talking and, much to the younger boy's relief, did not seem upset. Phew, that was a bullet dodged. While he made sure that William knew that he was still listening, Emil stood back up and began putting the various items he had knocked over back up. The least he could do, really. Of course, he still kept what William was saying in mind. He was talking about...Fighting? Why would he want to do that?

Now, Emil was aware that he could be rather cowardly, though he preferred "cautious". There was simply no need to get into fights or arguments if you didn't have to, right? It was always better to get along than to make enemies, wasn't it? In a similar vein he didn't want to disagree with his roommate, but as the other boy was talking about wanting to fight and how good of a fighter Emil could be, he just had to interject.

"Um, sorry..." He began, looking up at William with a small, slightly nervous smile on his lips. "You can like what you will and all, but I don't really see the point in purposefully trying to hurt someone else? Wouldn't it be better if we just... Didn't fight?"

William scoffed at him with a dangerous fire burning in his eyes. And what would be fun in that? he said, shaking his head. But don't you worry, roommate. he grinned, a mad fire still burning in his eyes. I would never fight you... You're too soft for that. Seem like a good guy too. he shook his head again, and smiled. I have a bunch of crazy goes at a club to fight with... I was just saying..., he said, looking over him once again. That you're power would make one hell of a weapon. And it would. Only if he could control it though. he thought to himself, looking at the watch. It was almost time for him to start getting ready for classes.

Yo, Spirit, wake up. he yelled, nudging the creature with his leg. It's almost time to go!

Emil leaned back a bit, clearly hesitant regarding the whole thing. That look in Wiliam's eyes were nothing he wanted to know the meaning behind and what he was saying really just served to intimidate him further. He still did not understand the "fun" logic he had heard before regarding fighting others. There are so many pastimes and activities you can partake in, why would hurting other people be on the top list of that? It just didn't make sense to him, to be perfectly honest.

When William called out to his familiars, Emil straightened his back again however. He had almost forgotten that it was a schoolday for the other students here and he still had plenty of things to get done. He had gotten himself introduced to his roommate, which ultimately was what mattered. Keeping his manners in mind however, he was going to remain polite. "You're going?"

Yeah. William said, jumping up on his feet, and getting out of his shirt, reaching for another from the closet. My classes start soon, and I want to be there early so I can find someone to explain this stupid math formula. I don't get it... his voice was silenced by the clothes while he pulled his head through the neck hole ...ne bit! He grabbed his bad, thankfully already packed for once and reached for the door, Warrior and Spirit at his heels. I have a club meeting after classes today, too, so I won't be back till late. Be sure to lock the door, roommate. See ya later! with that, he disappeared through the door.

Math? He had honestly never had a problem with that. Since his roommate studied at college level, it was probably way harder than anything Emil had encountered, but nontheless he opened his mouth to offer helping out with the formula if William needed it-

But the guy was so fast enough in words and actions to not give Emil a chance before he had went for the door. Barely able to form a syllable before being interrupted, Emil instead only nodded and gave another small smile, raising his hand for a little wave as William left.

"Of course. Good luck, see you later."
