"Thank you Hikaru. I cannot say what it says. I do not know how to read." He then proceeded to close the book and put it back where he got it, content that his new sticker was safe and sound.

"I am to wet my body so I do not dry out. One second." Sushi then made his way over to the charging station in the corner of his room and backed himself up against it, hooking the back of his helmet on something. Then with a tug, the helmet seemed to release, letting the water inside splash down onto the floor of the station. Once it was released, he ducked his head out, revealing his actual face.

He first looked to Hikaru and gave a gentle smile before slipping his raincoat off. Then he quickly walked over to the ladder next to his tank, climbing up and hopping on in with a tiny splash.

Before long, his head poked back out and his neon eyes focused on Hikaru. "You are sure you do not want to swim?"

Hikaru blinked. But wasn't Sushi the one who wrote it? Surely you'd know what you wrote, right? And then Sushi took his helmet off - wow, Hikaru didn't expect Sushi to look so...human. Or young.

Well, he could tell that Sushi was young from the way his voice came through the speaker, but it was weird to see it for himself. He felt a bit special somehow, as if Sushi was sharing a special secret with him. Although that probably wasn't the case.

Hikaru found himself staring a bit at Sushi's gills. It was weird. He'd never even seen fish gills, let alone... fish boy gills? It was pretty strange. Almost...magical. Although Hikaru supposed at this point that such things shouldn't surprise him. He himself was kinda magical after all.

"No thank you. I cannot swim. I have no swimming clothes! My pa...paj... my sleeping clothes will get wet. And then I will have to go to my room wet. It will be bad." He sighed, since the thought of a swim sure was nice. It had been ages since he'd last gone for a swim, in a pool or otherwise.

"Maybe I will swim with you some other time!" He smiled. It was also nice to hear Sushi's voice without a tinny, radio-like quality. Seems like the guy needed water to survive after all, but sounded like he could talk without water. Which was good for Hikaru.

Sushi bobbed back under the water for a moment, then back up. "Hikaru! You have a good voice. I like it." People always sounded different without his helmet, but it was a good different. Their voices sounded smoother.

He bobbed again. "We will swim another time then." Then his head went under one last time for a little longer than before. After that, he popped out and climbed down the ladder, dripping as he made it over to the station again. Then he got into position, poking his head back into the helmet and then unhooking it, causing a loud click sound. Then he unscrewed the top and clicked another button which caused water to come in through the shower head above and fill his helmet. Finally, he screwed the top back on.

After slipping his boots and raincoat back on, he was back to his typical look.

"All set." Sushi just left the water he'd splashed everywhere on his floor. It had been made to handle more than a puddle after all. "Can we explore some more now?"

Hikaru watched this process with great interest, then nodded. "Yeah, let's go explore!"

And explore they did. They went everywhere in the dorms that Hikaru could think to check out, and found some interesting things. And interesting people. And interesting trees. Maybe a tree person or two, as well. It was cool!

Then the night ended, and Hikaru had an idea. He'd knock on Sushi's door tomorrow to discuss it...
