The bad person was gone? Hikaru made them go away? Sushi let the invisibility fade away, returning their vision to normal with both of them appearing visible once again.

"Thank you Hikaru." The fish boy gave Hikaru a small squeeze before letting him go once again. "I am happy to see you." He'd never seen Hikaru outside of the community center before, it was neat that his little expedition brought him to a place he could find him. Although, he hadn't been aware than bad people could be wandering the dorm halls. Perhaps it was better if he just kept to his usual paths. Alone anyway, as long as he had someone like Callie, Violet, or Hikaru, he'd be just fine.

Hikaru felt his vision return to normal, sighing in relief as the other colors of the rainbow return to sight. Hikaru silently reminded himself to appreciate his eyes and other senses to the fullest the next time he felt down.

He smiled as the child squeezed him before letting go, and slowly and carefully got up in a way that wouldn't violently throw Sushi off of him. "What brings you here, buddy? Do you live in this dorm?" He asked, dusting himself off. He considered taking his language charm off, and decided he might as well. He tucked the thing into his pocket and sighed as his Japanese accent took over. "If you will like, we can take a walk around together. But...what happened to my eyes earlier? Did you make me blind? Make me not see?"

Sushi took a moment to consider what Hikaru asked, piecing it together. "I live in dorm, but not this room." What he really meant was that this wasn't his floor.

"I am exploring. You can join me then, yes?" The idea of Hikaru exploring with him certainly was a fun one. He usually did his little explorations on his own, but having a friend along would be even better.

As for the eyes, he was confused. He'd recently had blindness explained to him, but his understanding was that those who were blind couldn't see at all. With his invisibility, it usually just caused the weird blue vision, even for others as he understood it.

"The invisible made you blind? It is to just make blue eyes, not blind?" He didn't really understand anything about the blue vision. The first lady who found him, Lauren, had figured that out, but he was never able to understand her well enough.

Hikaru hesitated for a moment, also trying to understand what Sushi meant. "Oh, me too. I do not live in this room." Urk... maybe he should have listened harder in English.

"Yes. We can ex...plore. I can join you!" He grinned, kind of excited. He already knew where pretty much everything was in his area, but clearly he hadn't explored well enough to know Sushi lived here. "First you can show me where you live. Then I will bring you to where I live! I like it." Meaning he was looking forward to it, but he wasn't sure if Sushi would have gotten it even if he didn't make mistakes.

As he led the helmeted lad to his own room, he frowned. "Invisible? I do not understand invisible. What is it? My eyes are always blue. See?" He stuck his face right in front of Sushi's helmet, pointing to his eyes. "Unless I do this." He turned on his red eyes with a grin, which would give Sushi the urge to stare at him. It was weird - he could control it now, but it still kind of happened whenever he got stressed. Turning it on required more energy than turning it off though. It used to be the opposite.

When Hikaru said that he’d join Sushi in his exploration, a content smile crawled across his face. Though his face still couldn’t be seen, the face of his helmet remained the same, a basic black too thick to see through very well from the outside.

What Hikaru said about them showing each other their rooms also seemed to make enough sense for him to make out what he said. “Yes, that is fun.” Apart from Callie and the other kids she looked out for, he hadn’t seen many dorm rooms. As soon as Hikaru started walking, Sushi followed.

When Hikaru told him that he didn’t understand invisible, Sushi was able to understand thanks to the many times he’d said the same for other words. He watched Hikaru as he showed him his eyes, his own eyes reacting to it by glowing in a neon blue that could faintly be seen through his helmet. It wasn’t really a conscious thing, it just kind of happened.

“Invisible is this.” A flash would come from the top of Sushi’s helmet and he’d disappear, this time on his own without taking Hikaru with him. “See.”

Hikaru gasped as Sushi disappeared. He could do that?! It was, like, the opposite to Hikaru's eyes! It was so cool... Hikaru wished he could do it.

"Yes! I see! Well, I cannot see you, but I understand! I understand invisible now." He said, noting down a horribly misspelt version of the word in his Sam-gifted notebook along with the Japanese translation. Hikaru turned off his eye power and pocketed the notebook once more. "Sushi, when my seeing went blue, we were invisible?" He was trying to talk about his vision, but didn't know the word for it. "That is cool! Maybe we can do cool things with invisible."

And after a few more steps, they were at Hikaru's room. He'd blu-tacked an 8-bit chibi picture of himself on the front of the door, kinda like the ones from Danganronpa. It was cool, he thought, to be able to have a way of claiming his room without having to use a specific language, even if he knew how to romanise his name. Plus it almost felt like he could be part of something again. Something cool. "This is my room!" He said, standing in front of the doorway. He wasn't sure if Sushi had still been following him though, since he hadn't been checking to see if Sushi was invisible still.

Sushi clapped, happy that his friend had learned the word. “Good.” Then he remained invisible while Hikaru asked about blue vision. “Yes, invisible makes eyes see blue.” After that, Sushi reappeared, following Hikaru as they walked down the hall.

When Hikaru announced that they had arrived, Sushi came to a stop and turned, walking up to the door nearest to them. He shifted around, facing the front of his helmet to the bottom and then slowly to the top of the door so he could get a good look, then stopped on the picture. “This is Hikaru, yes?” He pointed to it.

He laughed a little as Sushi inspected the door, smiling at the childlike gestures. It was cute, and Hikaru felt a desire to protect the little guy stir from within. He remembered when he was a kid, he was kinda similar. Endlessly curious, no barriers to the kinds of questions he'd ask... It was a good feeling, looking back on it.

"Yes! This is me. A drawing of me. I maked it." He grinned, feeling a little proud. "Now come inside to my room!" He opened the door with a flourish to show a normal-sized room, lit up by the lights in the hallway. A blue nessie microphone sat on the desk, along with a pop filter and a box covered in acoustic foam on the inside - a makeshift booth. Beside it was his laptop, adorned with various stickers of anime characters. On the other side of the room, his bed was made - contrary to what one might think, Hikaru was particular about being organised. All in all, Sushi would see that Hikaru had a sense for aesthetics and taste, despite not having much money.

"What do you think? It is cool? You like it?"

Sushi had a moment of awe when he heard that Hikaru had made the picture himself. "You made this?" He did a lot of art himself, his dorm parent was an art teacher, but his never looked this cool. "You are so good at art Hikaru."

When urged to come inside, he did just that, happily walking in and looking around. There was a lot of neat things he didn't recognize, and a bed! Beds were really comfy. He continued scanning back and forth with his helmet before finally announcing. "It is cool. I like it very muchly."

He walked over to the makeshift booth, getting closer to get a better look but not actually touching it. "What is this?"

Hikaru blushed a little, happy to be complimented on his art. He only dabbled in it really, but to be told he was good at it was a much-appreciated confidence boost.

"I am glad you like it!" He smiled, giving Sushi a thumbs up. He thought his room was cool too. It was bigger than his one in Japan, which was pretty small. He was happy that he'd managed to make it his own!

He watched the boy walk up to the booth. "What is it?" He took a moment to consider this, hesitating in Japanese for a bit. "Um... it is a... a special box. It is for...making no echo. If you speak inside the box, there is no echo. That is good for...for recording!" He hoped that his explanation would do. If necessary, he could try to demonstrate. That had always worked with Sushi in the past.
