The loud thunder shook the room and Adelina sat up in bed, a cold sweat running down her forehead. She took a deep breath, looking out the window. It was raining so hard she could barely see outside, and any trace of light given by the moon and stars had vanished. It seemed like the sky was bawling, and the thought made the woman hesitate.

However, as her brown eyes looked to the cradle of her daughter, she knew she had to do this. Putting a sweatshirt on over her pajama top and boots over her socks, she prepared for all out war.

Her movements were silent so as not to wake her family. The last thing she needed was for one of them to get hurt. It was up to her, now; she could wait no longer for revenge.

Pulling the hood up and grabbing her trench coat and putting that on as well, Adelina opened the door, looking around the room. She knew quite well that it might just be her last time seeing them.

But it was worth it. She wouldn't let Sidaj win. She couldn't let that woman think she could do whatever she wanted without consequences.

With that, she closed the door softly, and started down the hallway. The thunder continued and the rain came down harder, like thousands of little needles on the roof top.

Once she was out of the school, she started running toward the forbidden forest, the tails of her coat flying behind her. The hood of her sweatshirt did as well and her brown hair became soaked. She paid no mind to it though and ran as fast as she could. That way, it would take longer for anyone to find her, and less time for her to reach the witch.

Andrew woke up when the door closed. Seeing Addie was gone, he hurriedly got dressed. He knew where she had gone. He paused for a scarce moment, trying to decide whether or not to go wake October to keep an eye on Aly, but he decided against it.

He ran out towards the forbidden area, and became quickly soaked. He hadn't thought to grab a pullover coat like Addie had. But he kept running anyway, knowing that Addie would only end up getting hurt.

Adelina continued to run. She slipped a few times because of puddles, and by now, her pajama pants were soaking wet and stained a very dark brown from mud. There was also some green from grass stains. Needless to say, her entire body was soaked, and her attempts to keep dry had been to no avail.

In the distance, she could see the tops of the towers. Eyes narrowed and she stopped running, too out of breath to keep going. She waited a few moments, then stomped her foot on the ground, watching as the water turned to ice. She had been practicing lately and by now, she could turn liquid into ice, though not the other way around. It was a good thing, too, or she probably wouldn't have had enough strength to fight.

She watched as the ice spread toward the castle and Adelina sat on the cold surface. She pushed herself and started sliding, finding this much easier and less time consuming.

Once at the castle, and kicked the door open, though the trail of ice remained. She might need it to escape, after all.

Lightning flashed in the dark entrance hall and Adelina looked around, stepping inside. Rain began to poor in because of the open door and Adelina summoned her sword, gazing around, searching for the witch.

"SIDAJ!!" she called out in a voice filled with rage. "Get out here and fight me!"

Rachel appeared almost out of nowhere. She had an excited look on her face, but it disappeared as soon as she saw Addie. "Oh, it's you! Well, this is going to be boring." Her sword appeared in her hand.

Andrew saw a trail of ice. He pushed himself to run faster.

"Cut the crap. No talking; we're fighting to the death." Adelina didn't hesitate. The water on the floor turned into huge spikes and her eyes were narrowed in complete concentration. She ran at Sidaj, almost slipping because of her shoes. She caught herself, though.

Well that had been embarrassing, and potentially harmful to her existance.

She continued running and swung her sword at Sidaj, pure fury on her face and vengeance on her mind.

"Really, we're fighting? I thought YOU were falling all over the place." Sidaj said sarcastically. She started to attack Addie.

Andrew ran in. "Stop!" He yelled. He pushed Addie out of the way, and the sword stabbed him. He cried out in pain and slowly sank to his knees.

As she was pushed aside, Adelina fell to the floor. Her eyes widened when she saw Andrew on his knees, blood pouring from him. She swallowed, horrified. "ANDREW!" she screamed, running to him and holding him in her arms. If she hadn't come out here...

Oh, God.

"Andrew?" she said softly.

Sidaj's face went pale. "Andrew...my baby..." She whispered.

Andrew took her hand. "Addie..." He said through clenched teeth.

"I never liked you, Madeline." Rachel didn't even mean to get her name wrong this time. She'd just gotten used to calling Addie that.

Andrew just nodded weakly.
