"... Th-That sounds so l-lonesome..." Em tried to think what it would be like to have the world flowing around you like that. She guessed it was probably not wholly unlike how she'd grown up, but She'd probably never seen such a high turnaround for friends.

"W-Were there a lot... Of s-second generation kids..?" She nodded a little bit when she was asked about her grade level. "I-I am... I'm s-studying Psychology... I-I want to be a th-... Therapist... B-Business is good too... I-I understand that's o-one of... the more p-p-profitable options..."

"A bit," Naoko said with a shrug. "It's not like I know any other way. Me and the rest of the people who were born here got along, made a nice little group. People grabbed new friends along the way, and there's always new faces. No one has to worry about being the new kid."

Supposedly, if movies were true, that was a real concern out in the mundane world.

"There's a few," she said with a shrug. "Maybe a half dozen per grade...?"

The thought of the small, stuttering girl being a therapist was... unexpected. It didn't quite fit, but then she was pretty good at communicating, even with the stutter.

"Business is good if you're good at it, according to my mom. Just getting a degree isn't enough though, you have to know how to negotiate, which 'isn't a skill you can learn in a classroom'." Naoko's voice changed slightly when she mimicked her mother, her Japanese accent coming out heavier.

"I-I see... That s-sounds sensible... There is a-always a curtain amount... That y-you need to learn through... Th-Through experience" She glanced around a little bit, eyeing a clock for a few moments before turning back to Naoko. "I-I need to g-get going now... M-Maybe we'll see e-each other around... Thanks again... You h-h-helped me a lot Naoko..." Em nodded a couple times to Naoko, then turned and wandered away.

Naoko gave Emily a quick nod and a little wave, slightly worried that the girl couldn't handle herself. Maybe it was silly to be worried about someone who was older then her, but she just seemed so timid!

Ah well, she couldn't be responsible for everyone's problems.
