The First One

Whisp was currently standing in the middle of what looked like a storm aftermath. She had completely ransacked her part of the room looking for something nice to wear. She of course had a decent amount if options to choose from but nothing seemed right. She didn’t want to seem like she was too into the idea of them doing this again, just in case it didn’t work out. She finally settled on a nice outfit and tried her best to clean up before she heard the knock on the door. Rushing to open it hefore her annoying cousin did, she took a deep breath and opened the door.

“Hiya!” She said brightly accepting the rose, she stepped to the side to allow him to walk through the door. “Oh thank you, you look good as well.” She managed to quicky find a jar and some water to put the rose in. “I really like the flowed” she said smiling and walking back to the door.

“Ill be back later!” She yelled out to the house before waving for Liam to quickly follow her out before anyone had the chance to stop and interrogate the poor boy. She wasn’t sure she trusted some of her family members to not be flexing their muscles in random places.

“Movie first right?”

Whisp sighed in relief that she managed to postpone the inevitable talk that he'd have with her family. Eein seemed to enthusiastic to torment the poor boy, and he wasn't even that much older than them. "That's great, do they have Oreo's? That seems to be a sweet food i'm not to terribly against. I also heard popcorn is good but I haven't tried it yet." She let her mind wander a bit as they walk, she was used to skating around to get to places. It was the one thing she was glad she didn't have to give up when she moved from home.

"That's great, what movie are we going to see? Or are you keeping it a surprise?" She hadn't actually asked what movie they were going to see after they had arranged the date. In fact, she didn't really know anything about what the night was going to entail. She really hoped that she would like wherever it was they were supposed to be going to eat after. The movie wasn't something she was worried about, as long as it wasn't some awful scary movie they would be fine.

"How's school going for you? Are you feeling like you're getting caught up?" She saw no reason why this date had to be different from them normally hanging out. After all, the only difference between a date and simply hanging out was the romantic connotations right?

Whisp nodded excitedly, while she wasn’t to happy about not knowing what movie it was the surprise aspect had her excited. She had yet to visit the movie theatre prefering to watch her movies at home in her bed. While she was curious the prospect of going to the movies alone wasn’t appealing.

“Math isnt that bad I promise, Myabe you can find a tutor? I also wouldn’t mind helping.” She offered him an encouraging smile. She was aware how stressful school could be, personally she was glad for her elective classes. Home Ec was something that she enjoyed. She might even decide to go to culinary school if she made it through high school without hating school in general. “History is the most boring.”

She blushed a little before slipping her hand into his and moving closer. She was definitely not used to being so close to someone. “Uh is this okay?” It wasnt exactly what he suggested but it was close.

Whisp laughed “I dont mind you at all, We can even take a study break and make a snack we’d both enjoy.” She understood what it felt like to be behind, escpecially since culturally she was still lacking a lot. The world was much different outside her home than she had imagined it.

“Ooo! We’re going to see Mary Poppins aren’t we?” She asked giving him a smug smile. It was the only trailer with songs she had seen. It was worse because they had watched the trailer together. They were coming up on the theatre and Whisp was hard pressed to hide her excitement as she sorta dragged Liam by his hand the rest of the way.

“Come on we dont wanna be late!”

“Yeah I did, Im glad we came here.” Whisp was happy to hold hands with her date. She had thoroughly enjoyed the film, both the music and acting were phenomenal. “The popcorn was good too, surprisingly.” Whisp shrugged, there weren’t any in her community but that was okay.

“Ooh where are we going to eat? Im a bit hungry.” She excitedly followed after him, trying to not drag him since she didn’t know where they were going. She was having a great time, she didn’t say anything though she thought it was obvious. “Did you decide if you were going to join any of the school clubs yet?”
