"Uhhh... one I cut my own hair once when I was little younger and it was a mistake. to ever let me cut my own hair. I mean... at least it was fixable." recounted Amber, funny now but mildly mortifying at time. Thankfully it was an easy fix and no one was none the wiser when she got some help "But now I leave the hair cutting to the experts that know what they are doing."

As cute of idea it would have been to cut Nathan's hair, she didn't trust herself with a pair of scissors ever again. She knows that Nathan would have looked as if he came out of wood-chipper or something should he entrusted her with his hair.

As the music finished and Nathan's lips approached, Amber closed her eyes and embraced the kiss.

What a missed opportunity that was. To not be taking Micha's face when he opened all those eyes.

"Rules are ok. Everyone has rules and everyone has rules that are dumb. But some rules are dumber than others. The rules here... are," they trailed off as they became distracted by an angel unknowingly getting closer and Tril began pulling unconsciously at their hair in distress and looking around wildly for a good exit.

"You are ok. Find a better person to maybe dance with, yes?"

Orsick nudged Andrasta a little and grinned. "Well if we're being honest, I do kinda wanna have a proper dance with you. But we did also decide this was the crazy thing we were gonna do."

He held his hand out for her to take. "You're a literal goddess anyway. They're only gonna question it because they don't understand your divine authority. It's 2020, slow krumping is in."

Micha caught the message Tril was sending him. They were going to leave. He opened his eyes and nodded at them.

"Oh, okay." He smiled down at them, now actually taking in their new form. Their conversation and the thought that Tril would mimic his face had distracted him. Now he could admire how completely different they looked. "You were fun to talk to. You made this party worth it. I hope you, um," his eyes tried to follow theirs around the room before landing back on their face, "feel better."

Tril shrugged and pressed themself against the wall a little more. "I should have played more jokes. Oh well. I have many new faces and clothes now. Go dance. Don't die."

"Yes, bye" They dispersed into water vapor in the air and fled from the dance

"I'll try not... tooooo...?" Micha's voice trailed off as Tril disappeared.

Turning towards the crowd with his eyes forced open and his head flooded, he took a deep breath and resumed moving near the walls of the ball. Time to find someone to dance with. Preferably without the possibility of dying that Tril warned him against. It wasn't something he took too seriously, but, well, emotional death was a thing, right? It would suck if he embarrassed himself to death.

"Tch! Well there is a reason I am on the cheer team." commented Aedes as she watches Hector get back to dancing. Once more he proves himself a competent dancer and though part of her was concerned, she continues to exude that confidence that she was going to win this dance off. When passed back to her, she smirk and twirls herself back on the dancing space.

"Blood queen? I could get used to that." she remarked as she lays her moves back onto him. While able to hold her own she felt the need to exceed her competition. As she takes a few steps back, she decides to finish off with flourishing front flip with a bit of kick at the end and then end it with a curt bow. But in her attempt to stick the landing, it proved very difficult to land on her heels due to her shoeware and ends up tumbling forward to Hugo.

"Shit!" was as she managed to shriek as is about to fall into Hugo.

Vespa would follow Katie's lead, she didn't know anything about dancing, but she'd try to keep up. "Are dances like this normal for people our age?" she'd refused to take part in normal teenage stuff until Katie had started dragging her into things.

She'd try to mimic Katie, almost tripping as her feet fumbled a bit. "You make it seem easy," she'd stay with a snort.

The kiss would end, and he'd smile at her, giving both her hands a gentle squeeze. "Y'know....I think this night is going pretty perfectly," he'd say, giving her one more quick kiss.

He'd give her a moment to recover from being all flustered before speaking. "So, I was going to wait until after the dance buuuuut...," reaching into his coat pocket he'd take out a checker, lavender in color, with a spider pendant attached.

"I saw this and thought of you," he'd say, giving it to her. "I thought the colors were you, plus the spider theme." @Pallas

Hugo snorted. He couldn't help it, with Aedes boasting and showing off as she danced. She was proving to be a real challenge, he might even lose their dance off. Or maybe victory had just fallen into his lap with her loss of balance and tumbled into him.

He caught her though as it was happening. He even straightened up to lead her into a slow dance to further cover up the fact that it had even happened. "Easy now, you don't wanna hurt yourself or your pride faceplanting in front of everyone. You were great, however that little fall cost you the match for sure."
