He'd watch her paunch into the air, smiling. "Ok, sounds like a plan," he was excited for this," turning he'd sniff the air again. "Let's go," he'd start to make his way through the woods, quietly, as he'd been trained.

Eein had hunted more times than he could count, it was an important part of him amd his culture in a way. He'd stop as he found some tracks, leaning down he'd examine them and began to follow them.

The scent grew stronger, they were definitely getting closer. Looking back at his winged companion, he'd motion her to fly up and get a look over the tree line.

The girl relished in the crisp breeze as she followed closely behind Eein, his words echoing throughout her mind. Pretty. She felt her lips curl into a smile as she kept her gaze fixated on him. Before she could continue her train of thought, she spotted a speck of brown beneath the barren canopy. Adrenaline surged through her veins as she swooped a little lower for a closer inspection.

It’s motion, it’s breathing, it’s very heartbeat - the girl sensed it all. A single arrow manifested in the palm of her open hand. Silently, she swiftly drew her bow as she sparred a glance downward to await Eein’s instructions.

Eein followed the scent on the ground, spotting the buck through the bushes. He'd glance up at Raella to make sure she'd seen it as well, he'd give a nod, then raising his bow to take aim. Then, another nod to give signal, and he'd fire with Kueria.

Their arrows struck the buck, the animal going down and staying down, their prey was theres. The rest of the deer scattered and Eein would approach the carcass, motioning Kueria to join him. "We can shift and split it," he'd say with a smile, stepping to her.

"You did amazing," he'd say. "Great shot, we'll have to go hunting more together," he was loving their time spent together.

Kueria took in a slow inhale as she drew her bow. Steadying her hands, she fixated all her attention on the deer as everything within the canvas of her perception melted away - now it was just her and her target surrounded by a still, delicate silence. Fire. The world around her resumed as she watched two arrows strike the deer square in its skull. Pushing aside any regret for harming an adorable animal, she made her decent and landed next to Eein.

"That sounds good! Eein is really good at hunting, Kueria is shocked!" Scooting in a little closer at his praise, she continued, ignoring the tinge of blush on her cheeks. "Eein was amazing too! Kueria loves hunting with him!" After a short pause, she let her lips curl into a smile at the small realization that this was indeed the first time she had hunted with a companion - a friend. Her heart swelled with gratefulness as she slowly leaned in for a side hug. The girl felt a foreign aura envelop her as she eventually spoke once more.

"Thanks so much for accompanying me to hunt." Meeting his gaze, she then released him from her embrace. "It really does mean a lot to me." Taking a few steps toward the carcass, she then shifted her attention as she slowly examined it, not quite sure how to split it in half since she'd usually just devour her meal right then and there.

They'd figure out how to split the kill, feasting, enjoying their meal, they'd earned it. After they found a nice place to sit as they talked about things, enjoying each other's company. "It's been really nice spending time with you Kueria," he'd say, sitting with her.

Indeed, it was some of his favorite times. "How has everything been?" he'd ask her, leaning back against a tree. "I know you've had to adjust to a lot of things on the island." He could only imagine what it was like doing it with no memories.

The dragon would scoot closer to her, he liked being close to her. "And uh.....there's maybe something I've been wanting to talk to you about?"

A subtle smile drawled across the girl’s face as she idly sat on the grass, indulging in the crisp evening breeze. Leaning back, Kueria placed her palms to the ground as she relaxed her posture whilst her heart beat in tune to the surrounding tranquility. Closing her eyes for a short moment, she let out a soft exhale as she indulged in the prevalent stillness - like the calm after a storm. Kueria couldn’t wish for anything better. Shifting hues of amber, crimson and yellow painted the canvas of sky as lingering threads of light mingled with drifting clouds to birth a picturesque, almost romantic, atmosphere. Tilting her head, she sparred a sideways glance back to Eein as she sat in silence, simply appreciating the view. There was just something about him which seemed to soothe her very soul and put her mind at ease.

His voice gently arose her from her from her little reverie like a mother’s sweet song at the break of dawn. Leaning in a little closer, she then replied, her words smoothly rolling off the tip of her tongue as she heard her voice escape in a slightly lower octave, giving it an odd yet naturally mature touch.

“It’s been good. Kueria thinks the most troublesome thing to get used to would be all the new technologies and customs.” Letting out a light chuckle, she then continued. “It’s not all that bad though, I’m glad I came here.” Pushing herself back upright, she kept her back arched as she leaned on Eein’s side. “I’m glad I got to meet you.”

there's maybe something I've been wanting to talk to you about?

Perking up, she tilted her head to a side. “Ask me? Sure.”

"Well......we spend a lot of time together, time that I really love," he'd say, clearing his throat and smiling. "Being around you, it makes me really happy, makes me smile a lot," it wasn't often he spoke of emotions like this, but he felt the needed too.

The dragon would gently take her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I want to continue being around you....and maybe also start being with you?" he'd ask with a smile. He was also dating Kaya, but Kueria knew this.

"Will you go out with me? Be my girlfriend?" he'd finally ask the bird girl, hopeful but nervous.

A blush slowly rose to her cheeks as she heard those words escape her mouth. When she'd first heard about Kaya, she couldn't deny that she doubted she'd stand a chance yet here they were. Gently tightening her grip on his hand, she gave her wings a few flutters of excitement as she almost immediately exclaimed: "Of course!"

Euphoria rushed through every ounce of her being, almost as if it were enveloping her very soul. "I want to be with you too, do even more things, explore even more places." Pausing for a short moment, she eased herself into the still atmosphere before continuing. "There's so many things we have yet to do and I'm so glad I get to experience them together with you." The girl rested her head on Eein's shoulder as she let out a slow, soothing exhale. "Thank you for letting me be your girlfriend."

A small part of her couldn't help but think: was this the Kueria he'd want to be with? If she didn't even know herself, how could she promise she wouldn't continue to change until she became a complete stranger. Alas, she decided to save these questions for later. For now, she simply reveled in his presence.

He'd grin as he heard her answer, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Thank you for being amazing," he'd adjust his position, gently leaning his forehead against her, looking into her eyes.

"I've had a crush on you for a while," he'd admit with a small chuckle, "so I've been thinking of asking you out for a while." He was happy, happier than he could put into words.

The dragon would look into her eyes a bit longer, before leaning the rest of the way in and gently kissing her. The kiss lasted a moment before ending it.

Her mind lingered in a daze but this time, it wasn't a fog, it was sheer, raw euphoria that clouded her thoughts. Before she could process his words, she felt his kiss - soft, sweet, everything she'd ever imagined it to be. Reaching up, she lightly cupped the nape of his neck with her palm as she gently sucked on the bottom plush of his lip before breaking away.

"Thank you." she whispered. Throwing her arms round her now lover, her lips curled into a beam as she squeezed him tight. "Thank you, thank you thank you." Eyes meeting his gaze once more, she leaned in for a light kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for wanting me." The girl settled back, her knees touching the ground as her behind rested on her heels. "Even though I couldn't figure myself out - still can't figure myself out, thank you for being there for me through it all."
