"What does him being a dragon have to do with anything?" Lizzy asked, a bit surprised that Dela would bring up that Hector was a dragon. "And, yes he did try to fight me, though I'm not surprised he wouldn't tell you. Told you he's shady." she said with a shrug, though her frown wasn't going anywhere.

"I mean, how much do you actually know about him? Because it sounds to me like you don't know Hector as well as you think you do. He hides his face for crying out loud!" Lizzy said. She couldn't understand how Dela could be coming to Hectors defense, and what's more, Dela seemed to be unable to accept that maybe hector wasn't the angel she thought he was.

"It has a lot to do, actually!" Delaney said, her tone grave. "It's no secret you don't like being here, Liz. That you wanna leave as soon as you can. And, like, if that's what you want then you do you." Delaney's hands were shaking. "But that doesn't mean you can just be mean because, well, because this is life now! Dragons are real, and so are vampires and there is life in space and you can't change that!

"And I don't believe for one second he tried to fight you! Because I do know Hector. I know him really well." Delaney wasn't even thinking anymore, too caught up in the rush of emotions overwhelming her. "He's one of the sweetest, nicest guys I know. He loves anime and nerd culture. He comes from another world and was caught up in the Dark Crystal freeze thing.

"He takes me to new places because he knows it'll make me happy. Hector is kind to everyone and I love him. And what the hell do you mean not show his face? He only has one face, Liz! Because he's a stinkin' dragon!" Delaney stopped to breathe, and hadn't realized she said the love word.

"I'm sorry.. What!?" Lizzy said, caught off guard by the fact that Dela said that she loved Hector. In fact, she was almost certain that she'd misheard her. "You love him!? Dela are you even listening to yourself right now? Lizzy asked with a mix of shock and confusion. She was almost almost convinced that she had misheard Dela.

"Why are you doing this?" Lizzy asked with genuine concern. Dela seemed to either be ignorant of, or just ignoring Hectors flaws, both of which were equally troubling. "You make it sound like Hector's perfect.. When will you get it through your head that he ISN'T! No one is nice all the time, you of all people should know that!"

Wait, did she say that she loved Hector? Delaney realized she had and it was surreal experience. Did she love him? She really liked Hector, liked spending time with him, kissing him but- But so what if she did? So what if she said that she loved Hector and who the hell gave Lizzy the right to treat Delaney like, like some child!

"Shut up." Delaney shouted, as she couldn't stand this any longer. "Shut up! Shut up and get out of my room!" Delaney groped for her pillow, then hurled it towards the sound of Lizzy's voice. "I know what I'm doing, and I'm not some kid! I don't want to hear your stupid voice any more!" Later, Delaney would feel bad for what she said, but in this moment she wanted Lizzy gone.

Lizzy blinked as Dela told her to leave, a bit surprised by the sudden outburst. "Fine, but I don't wanna hear it when you find out his true colors!" Lizzy yelled back, before quickly scrambling out of the way of the pillow, and leaving before Dela could find anything more solid to throw at her.

Once outside, she let out a sigh. That.. Could have gone a lot better but it also could have gone worse. At the very least, Lizzy had placed the seeds of doubt in Delas head. And with the lake party coming up, Lizzy figured she might be able to use that to break the pair up. Either way, this wasn't over. Not by a long shot.
