The Box is a 12x12 inches four-sided floating cardboard box. Each side has a respective color: Blue, Red, Yellow, White, Orange and Green. The Box is perfectly able to change the picture of each side. For example, when a student is presenting their work in class, it could grade their work A, B, C, D, E, F.
Personality Description:
Outwardly, the box may seem cold and unaffected due to the fact that it is a box that cannot talk or make facial expressions. Indeed, many “humans†question if it can feel at all due to its nature. People wonder, how can it love if it does not have a heart?
But the Box’s feelings run deep. The Box is a proud patriot of Manta Carlos and an altruistic individual who donates literally its entire paycheck to charity. It has strong feelings regarding welfare, racial and gender equality and queer rights. The Box personally knows what it feels to be mocked, generalized and ostracized due to your outward appearance. It also cares deeply about all its students, and is greatly invested in their individual growth and development. It is very passionate about higher thinking, culture and the arts. When one attempts to get to know Professor Box, it will realize that despite its nature as a cardboard box, it is a better person than most of us.

Float: The Box’s primary way of transportation is through floating.
Shapeshift: To a degree. The Box is able to change the pictures on its sides. It is its primary mode of communication.
Telekinetic Ghost Limbs: The Box has telekinesis, but only in a way that’s similar to human limbs. It can do whatever human arms can do, like grasp, flick or slap objects, but only through a mild version of telekinesis.
Biography:
The Box was mass produced in Malaysia on 2011 like many other boxes of its kind – a simple cardboard gift box. It was packed with many other cardboard gift boxes and mass produced products in a delivery ship bound for Manta Carlos. It was shelved on November, and around December, a family bought it to put their Christmas present for their daughter inside: A teddy bear.
The daughter loved the teddy bear and kept the box as an afterthought for it was lovely. She stored many vials of various import inside it. It is worth mentioning that the daughter is, in fact, a witch’s apprentice, and one night, as she stole her mother’s spell book, she placed her teddy bear on top of the box and attempted to give life to it. She misfired and castthe spell on the box instead.
“Oh well,†she said with a sigh. “The spell might not have worked.â€
But it did work. On that night, the Box became sentient and aware of its surroundings. It did not know what to do with itself. Unlike teddy bears, boxes are not loved and imbued with purpose. They are meant to hold. Nothing else.
The Box learned many things through the girl, about the world and about itself. It was content just living vicariously through the girl. But on 2014, when her mother was cleaning her room, she looked at the box and said: “That ratty old thing. I will buy her a new one to hold her vials.â€
That was when the Box decided to leave its life and pursue a new one. It floated away into the night and stumbled upon Starlight Academy. The Janitor opted to throw the Box away, but a nearby telepath read the complexity of its thoughts and the intricacy of its deep feelings. It was brought to the Headmistress and, from then on, it began sharing its knowledge and wisdom to the next generation.
