DALIA
This was so exciting! Being allowed out, caround all these people. Dalia had already scared several of the atendees at the event, tripping them with her webs or jimping out of a tree to menace them. And beyond all that, there was lots and lots of fire!
That was where she was now, hiding in the middle of the bonfire, toasty and safe despite the roar of the flames around her. Her green eyes watched her mother and Raheal with predator-like precision.
She had heard Phaedra calling to her, and seen mom send Amber and some other lady off to find her as well. But she didn't want to be found, not yet. She had one more prank to play.
A thin strand of web, invisible where it lay across the ground, stretched from her clawed fingers to Raheal's robe. She had worked very hard to land it on the fabric, trying to move as little as possible. She wasn't as good as her mom or sisters were at stealth, but in a fire she was practically invisible.
She snickered wickedly to herself and pulled the string taut. Like a fuse, the strand of web burned from the center of the fire all the way to Raheal's robes, where it was supposed to catch the material on fire.

Malara
Malara didn't even know why she had come here. Or rather, she wanted to push the reason as far to the back of her mind as possible. This event was for the departed, the dead. And she had a lot of the dead on her mind.
She walked along, arms crossed and her brow furrowed intensely. Would it even matter, praying for the lives she had taken? They had been dead so long, surely nothing she said now would matter.
Her thoughts trailed back to her father, and a tear rolled down Malara's cheek. She didn't want to dance, or pray, or anything. She just wanted to punch something until her fists were bloody and forget how terrible she still felt.
She didn't dare go near the fire, sticking to the edge. She saw that people were there praying for lost loved ones, and didn't want to disturb them.
