Chloe chuckled. With all that flattery, Chloe was starting to think Amber already wanted something from her. Though it could also be the case that Amber genuinely thought that about her - Chloe couldn't rule that out.

But Amber was also skeptical.

"Well, you are right about that," Chloe said. "We don't look very similar. The reason I think we might be related, is... well, it's hard to explain." Chloe held her chin for a second. "It's the same sort of thing I felt when I met my dad. There's sort of an... aura that I can sense, which feels like you're a part of me, sort of. Or that you have something in you that's similar to me. Can you feel anything like that, from me?"

Chloe wasn't able to recognize anything like that until she had spent time around her father, so she doubted that this kid would be able to feel it. Her father's essence would be even more diffuse in Amber's veins. She couldn't see anything in Amber's face that reminded her of herself, though. With the circumstances of Amber's conception, and with how little Chloe resembled her own father, Chloe didn't know if Amber would inherit her looks. She didn't know how any of this worked.

And here Chloe thought she understood where babies came from. Not even that understanding of the world could survive on this island anymore.

Raheal sighed as he watched Amber and Chloe walk off. Leaving him and Pandora alone again. "So.....uh.....Pandora......I have met Phadera and Amber....but what are the other two like, Ossa and Dalia? I haven't seen much of myself in the two I have met so that only leaves two most likely candidates." Raheal didn't know how to go about this. It was just too new for him to understand. "I am not kidding when I said I would help though, if you ever need anything just ask. And I'll still most likely drop by, still don't have a place to stay so why not spend the day with my girlfriend and her kids...............I still cant really get used to that term......girlfriend. Its only stranger now with you having kids....jeez......and if one of them do happen to be mine...I can guarantee my horseman will come and visit...But I'm talking to much aren't I I'll stop now." Raheal when back to being quite. He leaned, resting his head on Pandora's body. "This is all happening so quick........and we can both agree we aren't fit for parenting."

Amber stares and blinks at Chloe for a few moments before shaking her head from side to side. If there was some cosmic force that was telling her that this woman was her mother... Amber wasn't feeling it.

"Noo?" replied Amber, sounding unsure of herself.

Was she suppose to feeling something? Whatever it was that Chloe was referring to Amber suspected it was something she was incapable of... which only seemed to confirmed that the two of them shared no relations.

"Maybe... I'm not your daughter..." stated Amber rather sullenly.

"But... thats okey. Your still a nice person." spoke up Amber, putting on a forced smile for Chloe to hide her own disappointment.

It was kinda of a bummer... Amber was really looking forward to having two moms.

Amber was almost right. Not being able to sense Chloe definitely made it more likely that they weren't related. But... come to think of it, would Chloe really sense a spider-baby that had been dead for weeks? It was with both horror and relief that Chloe started to settle on the belief that they were actually related.

At least Chloe would be able to help Amber recover from her disappointment. "Well... I can still feel it. And I wasn't able to feel anything like that until I was sixteen years old, so it probably doesn't mean anything that you can't. I still think I'm... well, I could be either your mother or your sister. I can't tell for sure."

Maybe this was a good thing, Chloe thought to herself. Hadn't she just been lamenting how she'd lost her family? Amber was family; of that much, Chloe was becoming more certain by the second. Plus, she was an adorable kid. So there would be some upsides; it wouldn't all be guilt and responsibility, would it?

Amber stops in her tracks stares back at Chloe with a dumbfounded expression on her face.

"Huh? Why would you be my... I have so many questions..."

Amber looked down a little and scratched her head while trying to make sense of all of this. As far as she could understand... Miss Chloe may or may not be related to her and if she was she was either her mother or her sister. All of this was was rather confusing for the young spider... maybe she should ask her mother about this... err... her actual mother. She had no idea what to make of Chloe with the lack of straight answer. Couldn't she have a simple yes or no?

"... I think I'll just call you Miss Chloe... umm... we should go find my sisters yes? This... this all... really confusing for me." stated Amber, finding the whole situation awkward at best.

...Yeah, that might have been a little bit too much for the little girl. But to be fair, it might have been a little bit too much for Chloe, too.

"Ok. Let's keep looking for 'em."

They would walk along the perimeter of the party. Chloe would be on alert for any other little spider girls. Chloe didn't really want to leave their conversation at that, though, so after an awkward silence she spoke up again.

"Honestly, Amber? This is all really confusing for me too. You're... probably going to run into a lot of confusing and mysterious stuff in this life, so, you uh, have to be ready to deal with that."

She cleared her throat. After another quick visual sweep of the party and the tree line, she looked back down to Amber. "With what I've been able to sense from you, I can tell that we're definitely related. But I can't tell whether it's because your mom and I are your parents, or if it's because your mom and my dad are your parents. That part's a mystery. But... but if we keep our minds sharp and our eyes open, we can probably solve it."

Chloe managed a smile. "I actually think mysteries are kind of exciting."

It was soothing, too, being able to think about it like an academic problem. She could put on her logic mask and filter out the emotions that threatened to choke her. These possible scenarios with children to take care of or sisters to compete with fell away, leaving behind P's and Q's, logical structures to manipulate. She couldn't wear that mask forever, but for now, she could think. For now, she could breathe.

Amber nods and scouts out the area with Chloe right beside her.Things were quite between them for the longest time. Amber did not really mind the sudden silence between as they were on the look out for her other sisters. Amber honestly had no clue where they could be... probably doing something really stupid and/or dangerous. Once Chloe spoke up, Amber gave the pretty demon lady her undivided attention.

"Oh... okey... I guess your right. There a lot of things I still don't understand but... I think I can figure them out eventually. Its just not as simple as I thought it would be but...I guess I can figure out these things out eventually... I'm a smart girl~ " proclaimed Amber rather proudly

"Alright so... if we are related... then maybe we should ask my mom! She will know right?" asked Amber

The little spider girl give Chloe a faint smile as she looks up to her.

"Yeah! I guess mysteries are fun... at least when you understand them." commented Amber as she strokes her chin and tries to mentally unravel how the two of them are related. Honestly, didn't really want to have another sister... had 3 of those already and they drive her up the walls!

"Your mom doesn't know," Chloe said. "But maybe we can ask my dad? I... hold on. I'll message him." Chloe took a few seconds to text her father, asking if he had ever banged a spider lady with six red eyes. "All I need to know is whether he... uh, might be your dad, and not your grandpa."

A few more seconds of scanning around for Amber's sisters, and Chloe had an answer. 'No.'

"I think we've solved the mystery, now. I'm almost certainly your other mom. Since my dad says he can't be your dad, too, but I could be your mom, and it has to be one of those two things."

Chloe spent a moment terrified by the thought of her dad finding out he was a grandfather now. She didn't know how he was going to react.

Deep breath. Calm.

"So... Amber. What kinds of stuff do you like to do?" Christmas was coming up soon. Did she have to start doing that Santa Claus thing now?

[ Arach ]

Arach had stayed quiet for the entire time since they had been alone with the little spiderling. She wasn't visible to most but she had been watching, tucked at the crook of Chloe's neck, concealed in her hair. No one would notice really; she was at her smallest form, a tiny spider resembling a Black Widow tucked in black hair. She'd been itching to get out anyway.

"I can only imagine what your father would say after hearing about this," she spoke, skittering out to rest at the top of Chloe's head. Well, Arach was sure he wouldn't chew her out. Not like Arach particularly knew or cared much about parenting--except that, it occurred to her that if they confirm that Amber here was indeed Mikhainon's granddaughter, she might have another problem to worry about.

Storm took a deep breath and lifted her head when she heard the small voice addressing her. There were still tears streaming down her face, but at least she was no longer sobbing. Rather, she sniffed and rubbed at her eyes until her vision was no longer blurry with tears.

The little one in front of her was…a spider? Related to…oh…Pandora, was it?

“I am very sad, dear…” Storm answered the little girl honestly. “I lost someone very important to me.”

Storm turned her head to stare into the fire. “It was a while ago, but it is still very painful. I will be sad for a very long time…”

Storm held out her hand toward the flame, half expecting that perhaps the image of Clarisse would appear again. But it did not. She lowered her hand, and turned to the little spider once more.

“But I will learn to be happy again,” Storm said, a small smile tugging her lips. “Everyone can learn to be happy again.”

Storm cleared her throat, glancing around beyond Phaedra for a moment.

“I—anyway…you are not lost, are you?”
