"Put those boxes, the ones with the props over there, please," Edwin St. Aubwyn said as he directed the group of students, who had volunteered as stagehands, as they brought in cardboard box after cardboard box and roller rack after rolling rack of props, costumes, and other useful decorations for the upcoming drama club production.

Edwin and one of the music teachers had been going through old sheet music, musical scores, as well as previously used backdrops, trying to decide what they might be able to reuse or salvage for the next school production.

Granted, what they reused, depended quite heavily on which play or musical the group finally settled on, and that had not been decided on yet. While Edwin had put forth a few ideas like the two plays, "All I Really Need to Know I Learned From Being a Zombie" or "The Curious Case of the Pop Star and Her Penguins", he knew that the group might prefer something more classical, or something written by one of the many aspiring scriptwriters or authors on the island.

"Welcome, please, make yourselves comfortable," he said as he greeted the first arrivals."We are just waiting until everyone arrives before we pick up where we left off on our last session," the vampire explained as he wiped his hands clean on an old rag.

Today, hopefully, the group would finally decide on which production - play or musical - they'd like to put on, and who would undertake each part afterward.

Sela was surprised to see they were one of the first arrivals. Their inconsistent sleep schedule and difficulty paying attention to anything and everything often left them showing up to events late. This time, Roland managed to get them up and ready for their Theatre Club meeting so he could accompany them to outside the theater. After emphasizing that he'd be back once the meeting ended but he'd be nearby and giving them a hug, he walked back down the hall.

Sela wore their signature demure expression as they greeted Mr. St. Aubwyn. While looking for a place to sit in the back, they kept their head lowered to avoid drawing further attention to themself. They were content to float over a seat with their legs crossed, ignored by everyone until they wanted to be noticed.

"Heeeeey~!"

Jessica, as bright and loud as ever, was one of the first to make it to the theatre as well--just a bit behind Sela. She had woken up early enough to get herself all dolled up--glittery makeup on, her hair pulled back in a smooth ponytail, and a cute little sundress.

"Guess we're still waiting on some people?" She asks as she takes a seat.

Hikaru shuffled in, unsure of himself. Was this really what he wanted? He didn't know anymore. As it turned out, he wasn't even the best at illusions. People like Sela outshone him by a mile. Honestly, what was he even good for anymore? He wasn't even the best actor - he'd also been outshone in that area too. Everything was kind of becoming...boring.

Yet still he felt the need to come, forcing all these awful thoughts down the back of his throat as he put on a big, genuine-looking grin and gave everyone an exaggerated wave. Regardless of whether he was the best or not, acting in itself was fun. But things just felt different here. Definitely nothing like the way they used to do it in Japan.

"Hey guys!" He addressed the room before plopping himself down onto a chair near Jessica. "I'm assuming the week's going well, as always!"

Lizzy

Lizzy double checked that she had the right place, before strolling in. She didn't know the first thing about acting, but figured it could be a useful skill to pick up. Especially with her possession powers. The fact that she got access to the theatre props for pranks was just an added benefit.

Grabbing one of the open seats, she took a glance around the room to see who was there. No one that she really recognized. So she just gave a small wave as she leaned back and pulled out her phone, waiting for the club to start.

Jae arrived on the heels of the others and quickly took his seat. He was excited for today's meeting as they were (hopefully) going decide upon their their fall production. Jae had his own hopes for which it would be, but even if the group decided upon a musical he would still try his best.

While they waited for students to arrive and settle down, Jae studied the gathered group. Some were faces he recognized, others he didn't. He knew Hikaru, and gave the other boy a smile and answered his greeting. "It's been a good week so far." Jae said.

Hikaru suppressed the sigh of relief that escaped his lips when Jae answered him. There had been more than a few weeks where he'd felt like no one was taking notice of him, even when they probably were. His brain had been off kilter for way too long, and he needed something like a fall production that he could devote himself to. His monologues and covers had slowed down to maybe twice a month for lack of inspiration, and at this point drama club was all he really had left. He and Tomomi had just...fallen out of touch, and Sushi...he didn't even know. It was sad to think about the fact that he could count all his friends on the island on one hand.

"Glad to hear it," he piped back as he stood up and plopped back down on a seat closer to Jae. "How's Mertown? I've been meaning to head down there sometime, but I wanted to hear about it from a guy who'd know about these kinda things."

Seeing how everyone else had jumped into a conversation with their peers, Sela forced themself to open up. They still hadn't gotten how weird it felt to speak to people. Butterflies in their stomach didn't sound right. They didn't have a stomach to feel butterflies or a pit or nausea in. Tense was the best word they could come up with.

Locking their sights on a girl nearby, they changed seats to be closer to her. With the help of Myst's conversation starters, they managed to get a decent, almost-human sounding introduction. "Hello. Are you excited for today? I'm hoping this will be a good place to make friends."

Lizzy

Lizzy let out a sigh and glanced up from her phone when Sela came up to her and asked if she thought this would be a good place to make friends. "Ha! Don't bet on it. Most people here are assholes anyways." She said with a shrug.

"Then again, it's probably not that easy for someone like you to make friends, is it?" She asked in a condescending tone. She wasn't sure exactly what Sela was, but it clearly wasn't human.

Jessica's good ear just so happened to be pointed in the direction of Lizzy and Sela, so she overheard the rude comments. It didn't seem right to leave Sela to deal with...that. So Jessica slid a seat over to get closer to Sela.

"Well, I'm here to make friends! Hi, I'm Jessica~"
