"My favourite colour has to be blue," Vince replied, feeling stupid again.
When he heard Ember asking him what he was thinking about, Vince thought for a moment. Instantly, his memories came rushing back to him, and he said "My... grandmother."

"Why your gandmother? Did something happen to her?" Ember asked, concern appearing all over her face. Ember then began thinking about her own grandmother, and how she barely knew her. She was only 5 years old when her grandmother had died from a heart attack. She was only 60 years old when she left, andEmber had only one great memory wiht her.

It was Easter and her family had gone to her house to celebrate and have the Easter egg hunt. Ember had found most of the eggs, but she had been looking for one in particular: the giant bunny made out of solid chocolate. She found it in her grandmother's purse but she sai that it was her secret bunny, and they'd share later. Ember ended up finding the real bunny up in a tree, and had a chocolate picnic in the field where her granmother lived laughing and playing.

Vince stood silent for a few moments. His emotion was not allowing him to say a word, but eventually he did speak. He said "She was murdered... I don't know by who, or why." A tear crawled down his cheek, and he suddenly turned away. "Excuse me," he said before he started making his way towards the little building.

Ember clapped her hand over her chest with sadness and shock. She had no idea, and couldn't even imagine what Vince could be feeling. She didn't have time to answer, because see could see he began to cry and excused himself. Was he leaving? She went after him. "Vince, wait." She grabbed his shoulder and stood in front of him. "I'm sorry about your grandmother, and even more for asking. I'm really sorry." Ember leaned in and gave Vince a tight, warm, comforting hug. Wondering if he would join her in the hug.

Vince turned back towards Ember to say, "It's not your fault. It's something that's been in my mind since that day. When Ember hugged him, he felt slightly better... at least someone was there for him. He decided to hug her back. His tear landed on the floor. "Thank you," he whispered.

"I just want you to know that I'll be here for you if you need me.," Ember whispered back. She felt the tear drop from Vince's eyes and fall on the floor and before she noticed it, she too had shed a tear. She just stood there, holding Vince, because she knew what it was like to loose someone drastically. Ember pulled her head off of Vince's shoulder and gave hima gentle kiss on the cheek for comfort. "You'll be okay," She said with a smile.

Vince did not respond to anything that Ember said. He just kept hugging her, until she kissed him. He decided to change the subject back to that date - at least that should keep his mind off his grandmother. "So, when shall we meet?"

Ember thought about it. When should they have their date? Well she was free the majority of the time, so it acutally depended on Vince. "Well any day is good for me. What about you?"

Vince heard this, and instantly said in a smooth deep voice "How about tonight, baby." He was extremely tempted to slap his forhead. No, no, no! Now she's gonna reject you. You always do this every time. He, however, managed to resist, and just quickly said, "What time?" this time back at his normal voice.

Ember took a deep breath and said, "Vince...um, can please not call me baby? I hate those kind of nick names...or just not now, it'd be too soon." She knew it sounded weird, asking Vince not to call her baby, but it did make her uncomfortable especially when they've only been talkin together for a few hours. She looked at the sky, the colors were getting darker, and the stars were starting to appear. 'Sure, tonight would be great." She said with a smile. "How about at seven? It'd give me time to gt ready and stuff. Where do you want to go?"
