Ezra nodded. It was a fair argument, really. Most people were not prepared for these sorts of situations and repairing a fractured relationship could not be so simple or else no one would ever be in relationship turmoil.

"The fact that you are attempting to assist with my problem is very kind of you. You must have much experience in how to maintain your friendships." Ezra placed their hands on their lap, gaze unwavering from their guest. "I believe the next question is how do I initiate the meeting without forcing it? I suppose the possibility is there that he would not wish to reciprocate and our friendship ends but when is it appropriate to reach out for our next meeting?"

Yuki blushed a little at that. He really didn't have much experience at all when it came to friendships, Yato having been his only friend for most of his life, if he could even call Yato a friend. But the boy was able to clear the passing memories from his mind - Ezra was here right in front of him, and Ezra needed help.

"I would say that it would all depend on the last time you two spoke. If your meeting took place only recently, I would recommend waiting at least a week before reaching out to him once more. If it has been a week since, then by all means feel free to schedule one as soon as is most convenient for the both of you." The boy hummed, tapping a pencil to his lips in thought. Maybe now would be a good time for roleplay, to gauge Ezra's aptitude for socialising and to see what he was working with. Maybe Ezra and Tadashi had a unique relationship dynamic.

"Although regardless of the situation, now could be a good time for us to plan out this meeting. Assume that I am Tadashi. Invite me to meet with you, and use the same language you might use for the phone call or text conversation."

Ezra tilted their head at Yuki's explanation. Pretend Yuki was Tadashi? Well, that was going to be a difficult situation. They were two totally different people. ...But they both did have white hair. If they focused on the white hair, maybe that would help?

"Tadashi, I was hoping we could arrange a future meeting. We did not have the most pleasant of conversations the last time we were together and I would like to amend that into a more positive experience. I still consider you a friend and hope that we can communicate further." Ezra spoke plainly, their gaze entirely focused on Yuki's white hair. It was similar to Tadashi's, but it was not the same. The bakeneko's had a slightly different hue to it... Ezra preferred it in comparison to the person in front of them.

"I hope that was a satisfactory display of my communication skills."

Yuki nodded, satisfied at Ezra's politeness and emotional articulation. Good. They had conveyed their regret, expressed a desire to make amends and affirmed positive feelings towards Tadashi. "That was brilliant!" He smiled reassuringly, taking down more notes. "I do believe that you are prepared for this next meeting. I think..." He smiled, pleased. He wasn't sure if he had anything to teach Ezra at this point except for the basic things he'd prepared in his PowerPoint. "I think this will actually go really well."

"What do you plan to do next time you meet? And where do you suppose you'll do it?"
He asked.
