One good thing about being in the culinary department was the easy access to the rooms made for it. One classroom in particular was free from class today, and Volkan had easily acquired full access to it this morning. So he was alone in this huge room, only because he wanted to practice on a pastry he's never tried making before.

He worked in only one counter among many inside the room. The sink was on the side, and there was enough tiled space for everything he needed. Volkan, after all, worked very neatly especially in the kitchen. He already had the batter mixed, and was mixing it a little bit more in a huge bowl to make the consistency right. The tiles were spotless though, as if he hadn't just brought out some flour. His other ingredients were also neatly arranged, all in bowls or cups, sliced, yet the chopping boards and knives were already washed and out of site.
Volkan put the cake batter in the oven soon. Aside from the sound the machine made on contact, the room was very quiet. The Turk wasn't the kind that hummed or talked to himself when working alone, he was quiet, even his swift and almost professional movements were. His black dress shirt was spotless, its sleeves folded very neatly to his elbows, and even the plain gray apron over that and his jeans had very minimum specks of batter on it.

Volkan belonged in this room, he was its master.

Soon enough, the oven began to produce a sweet milky scent all over the place. The windows and the door were open, easily giving way for the scent to spread nearby. Through the hallways, most especially. And while the cake was being baked, the six-and-a-half-footer man began to prepare for its chocolate coating, adding even more sweetness to the air.

Kaiyo had snuck in her own bag of sweet tarts , which she kept well hidden in her dress. She popped one of the small sweets into her mouth before going back to her much needed break. Usually finding a place no one would find her or judge her for the scars all over her arms.

She gathers up her bag and goes to sit on the steel bench hidden in the vacant hallway. If anything else it seemed a good spot as any. Glancing around the hallway once more before pulling out a small silver dagger from her bag. It had been a gift to protect her from others of her kind by the same child of the man whose life she took that night . Kaiyo was to carry it around as punishment to always remember what she had taken from that child.. The child's father's blade ... was the one she ever took to cut into her flesh. She would close her eyes as the smooth blade drifted slowly across her arm just under the last scar still healing from the last cut.

While the the memory of the males struggling under her fangs and the cries of a young child echoed through her head. The taste of his bitter blood flowing over her soft pink lips. She increases the pressure of the blade so that sharp pain was exquisite and it would give her something to feel other than the painful memories clouding her mind. She had become so entranced by the pain that she had almost not noticed the sweet smell drifting the hall. -Damn!- she tried to quickly hide the scars on her arm and then the silver knife she was holding falls from her hand slid across the floor of the roof top. She picks it up fast before glaring down the hallway in the direction of the smell. Perhaps she was not alone as she hoped.

Every good kawaii knew how to at least cook sweets and how they should smell when they're being prepared. Normally candy was Kaiyo's prefered source of food over the consumption of human blood. Not that her body didn't find blood unsatisfying it was just sweets were more of a preference then an actual need.

" Where is that sweet smell...."

Finally tracking down the smell down to the school's culinary classroom. It was where humans went to learn about how to cook many different things . Normally this room would smell all kinds of yummy but nothing really that she wanted to eat ...until right now. Maybe just a small peek...just to find out what was cooking. Kaiyo opens the large door slowly and crept into the class not wanted to bug the cook. Well not at the moment that at least. In the back of the room was a rather tall , and to her semi attractive male stood over one of the corner table. Seeing as he was the only soul in the class she didn't seem to see the harm of getting closer and seeing what exactly smelled this good.

"So what’s cooking~"

The tall man was probably a bit too focused on his mixing that he didn't notice the girl enter and come close, until she actually spoke. He flinched, and quickly turned to her, his face mostly straight except for the curious and stunned look swirling in his eyes and straining his eyebrows.

"Cake," he said simply as he tried to compose himself to get back to work. His arm muscles were flexed as he whisked the coating in the huge bowl, but really, it was more because of the sudden presence of the girl he's never met before, rather than the effort of mixing itself.

"It's not done," he muttered, even as he continued working, not glancing at her for a second time. "You'll have to wait until I'm done chilling it in the freezer," he paused turning and pointing to the huge white closet-like thing in the corner of the room, "over there."

"But But I wants the nummy ..."

She had to wait? Did that mean he was goona let her have some of this thing called cake? The more she allowed her self to wonder about it the more she wanted to have some. Maybe if she could help the cake would be done faster...no he looked really busy and she didn't want to bug him. -Stares over the edge of the counter-

Volkan ignored her. The oven made a high-pitched 'ping!', signaling that the cake was already done, so the huge man grabbed some potholders and ducked to take it out and put it on the top surface of his working area.

The dark brown cake bread was still obviously hot from all the smoke coming out from it, so Volkan set it aside while he was finishing preparing for the clarification and the icing and the toppings. He glanced at the girl every now and then, making sure she wasn't going to try taking a piece, and burning her hand in the process.

Once the cake didn't look so hot anymore, Volkan wore plastic gloves and put it in a stainless steel layer slicer, to cut it evenly in the middle. He continued to work, putting some of the chocolate mix and some bits in between the two layers, before coating the whole cake carefully. Volkan was too focused on it that his eyebrows begin to crook in a way that made his scarred face look scarier than it already did. But he could feel his shoulder muscles getting stiff after a while, so he decided to take a break, turning his attention to the girl once more.

"Got a name?"

She watched him cook theyummy smelling cake quietly trying not to bug him. He did seem really busy,,, so she just watched him work. Though she was wiggling around some in hopes it woulde done soon. Each step he took in making it was almost like watching a painter at work. Though you should never actually try and eat a painting ... they dont taste all that good. He did seem to ignore he some what while he was working and it made her look away from him towards the door. Prehaps she should leave him in peace. Then again she really wanted some cake, When it was finally ready to cool Kaiyo heard him ask for her name. A subject she had learned to ignore or for better lie about, Usually while she was on the run anyone who asked got a made up one she found in some book. But she was safe here among teachers and far away from the pure blood grasp. No one seemed to want her dead here.Smiling slightly she let her soft gaze meet his,

" Kaiyo...Kaiyo Arashi...and who are you?"
