Seiken let out a sigh as he walked through the snow-covered fields, he hated the cold. It was at times like this that he really missed the never-ending plains of Africa- even at its coldest it was nothing like this, the white crap called snow was especially bad. So damn annoying to walk in. Even with his large feet.
His boots clomped lightly through the snow, making his way toward the grounds where cheering practice had been going on- luckily, the snow wasn't too thick as he entered the active field. He never understood how his mate could keep up her mask and put herself through this, she hated the cold as much- if not more than he did, yet she went to practice and events even in this cold all for her precious "mask".
A sigh left his lips. Shaking his head as he stepped onto the platform, where several of the girls were already eagerly waving to him. He made a face. Ever since he had become her official "boyfriend" as they called it here (they were mates, what was this stupid title?), and he had become the Ace for the Thunderbirds- this kept happening.
He couldn't even hide, he was too damn big. What was worse was that even when he told them to leave him alone, it just seemed to encourage them usually with the answers of "I respect people who are honest!" or "You're cute when you get angry!' and so on so forth. He had only done this to be with Emily, and though he certainly had her now- in pretty much every way, sometimes he truly hated the drawbacks of this.
Gruffly, he sighed as he ignored the energetic waving- the girls didn't seem to notice, or care. Instead, he asked simply, glancing around when he noticed the one girl he cared about- wasn't here.
"Where's Emily?" his deep voice rumbled out in a murmur, his lazy expression shifting to one of slight, childish annoyance- as if she was required to be here waiting for him and the idea of her running off to do anything else was unheard of. It wasn't too far from the truth, normally he wouldn't mind and just go wander off to wait for her- but it was cold. He wanted to pick her up, and then take her back to snuggle and let her play her video games or study in his lap while he napped using her as a pillow. She was soft and warm. It was nice in this weather.
Instead, he was faced with a bunch of girls that were way too curious about him just because he was dating their captain. He didn't understand why he was suddenly such a big damn deal.
