"It would be neat if you could read thoughts. I know someone who reads thoughts. He doesn't like it, though. He says it's very hard to concentrate." Ania frowned, wondering once more what it would be like to have other people's thoughts running through your head.

"Yes. Fish. I kiss someone on the mouth and I turn into a fish." It was wildly impractical, and essentially it meant she couldn't ever kiss a person seriously. She hated the trigger, but there wasn't anything she could do about it.

"Ah, I see." She looked around, not sure about what the girl had told her. Kissing someone made her a fish? That wouldn't be good if you were in a relationship, or anything really. It was cute though, it was so simple and easy, unlike her powers. "I like it." She said nodding her head in approval. She knew that she would also, like to be able to read peoples minds, though she wouldn't give you her powers.

She would rather have them then to be normal, even if there were bad elements everywhere in it. Her power was different, unique almost, from the more common one. "It must be, embarrassing, if you were in a relationship..." She trailed off and closed her eyes, knowing that they would change. "I mean, am I right on that topic?" She blushed a bit, knowing that what she had said probably didn't make all that much sense.

Ania shrugged. "Makes kissing more impersonal for me, I suppose." Ania smiled a bit when Flayace mentioned that she liked her power. Most people liked her power. It was cute to them. She always wished she could have at least been something cooler, like maybe a shark or an octopus.

Bursting into a fit of giggles when relationships were mentioned, she felt compelled to bring up the story of her old boyfriend. "Ah, no, it's fun to surprise people. In fact, when I was dating my ex, we were on a picnic at a lake and he tried to be romantic and kiss me in the water. Of course, it didn't go very well for him. Took him ages to figure out that he needed to kiss a fish to bring me back!"

Flayace laughed at the story. That would be pretty bad. She knew that if she was in that situation, she would be confused, and probably scared. "I bet you scared him good!" She let out a big laugh and she thought that all of that would have been awesome to watch. This girl was funny, or maybe it was just the story. She just smiled and looked at Ania. "That must have been weird, kissing a fish." That would be weird, Flayace wasn't sure if she would even do that.

Thinking of the story made her collapse into another fit of giggles. "Yes! He was terrified-- he thought something terrible had happened!" Of course, it didn't help anything when he discovered that she would be naked when she was reverted back to her human self.

Thinking for a moment, Ania agreed. "Yes, he said it was slimy. I felt a bit bad afterwards, I think. Though, the look on his face was priceless." She remembered it well, too. The look of horror and surprise made her cackle like a witch. Their relationship hadn't lasted long after that, and she often wondered if that was the cause of their break up. "Ah... Makes me wonder if that's why we broke it off."

Ania seemed very amused with the story, which was good. Flayace liked to see others smile, laugh and be happy, even if what people are saying is embarassing or one of the those moments that don't really make sense unless you were there. She just nodded and smiled while Ania said things about her story. She felt bad for the person who had been her boyfriend at the time, it must have been weird for him.

"Maybe it was." She looked at Ania's feet. "It would be hard to think about, people different and unique like we are." She paused. "Maybe he was jealous?" She looked at Ania's face, then back down again. "Or maybe that was something he didn't want to experience. Maybe he didn't want to give you a second chance, or a reason." She nodded to herself and sighed a bit, for no reason. She looked up and smiled. "But you never know, it would be different for everyone."

"Hmm, but he said he thought it was a cute power. Maybe he was lying. Do you think he was lying?" In a moment of weakness, Ania turned and clutched Flayace's arm. She didn't want to think he was lying, but why else would he leave? Obviously he didn't like her power after all. "Do... Do you think he hated it?" Ania's eyes were wide, terrified that she had unknowingly scared away her first boyfriend.

"I.. I'm sorry. Slowly releasing Flayace's arm, Ania sat huddled, staring straight ahead. What if he didn't really think it was cute. Maybe he really did hate it. Would it seem desperate if she went hunting for him and apologised? Probably.

Flayace didn't know how to react. She wasn't the boy. We didn't know how he had really felt. "I don't know Ania, maybe he was scared, maybe he wanted to make you happy, or feel better for the first situation." She paused and looked at Ania. Poor thing. She never did anything wrong to have that happen to her, or at least that was what she had told Flayace. She blushed a bit when Ania grabbed her arm. She patted her on the back and smiled.

"I lied to some people, about my power. I didn't tell them because I thought that they would judge me, they would leave me of hate me for it." She paused. "You have to accept it though, it is a gift, not a curse. Even if it feels bad." She smiled at Ania, hoping that maybe that helped, but sh wasn't sure. Her eyes turned a different color to show she was calm, caring.

Her anxiety soon settled, and Ania was left with a feeling of hollowness. She hadn't spent much time thinking about her first boyfriend, and she didn't care to. She had seen an old picture of them together the other day, and she supposed that picture brought the memories to the forefront of her mind. "I hope he's okay..."

Do you think theres a way to make it go away? I just want to be normal ... That's all I ever wanted." She had never admitted it to anyone, but she wanted to be able to kiss someone normally without worrying about if she was going to scare them off. Her shoulders slumped when she realised how silly a question that was. "I bet we can't make it go away..."

Flayace didn't know what to say. She felt sorry for the girl. Some powers were cool, but, most of them had things that made people hate that they were special. She sometimes wished the same as to what Ania had said. That it could all go away, to be able to live a normal life, free of all of this. She sighed and looked down. "Me too. I wish sometimes that I never had anything special about me."

She closed her eyes, trying to think. Was there a way to get rid of powers? She didn't think so. She knew that what she had, was a gift, not a curse, even though it seemed like it. She opened her eyes and looked up at Ania.

"You have to find someone special, that will accept you, that cares for you." She smiled a bit, trying to cheer Ania up. "If you find someone that loves you, or accepts you enough, it shouldn't matter. Someone that loves you for who you are, no matter what." She smiled again at Ania, looking into her eyes, for reassurance.

"I like your power. I wouldn't be scared or frightened by it." She paused. "I guess, it might be easier, for the future, to get to know the person, and be comfortable around them, then tell them." She nodded. "Some people just don't like powers, or unique people." She knew that was true. "Yeah, some people would be scared, but the ones that stay, and accept you." She paused and smiled. "Are the ones that you should keep. The ones that matter the most."

She looked up at the sky and sighed. This had been nice, but she felt as if she had to go, which was bad timing for her. "I'm sorry Ania, but I have to go." She pouted a bit, then laughed. She was sure that Ania had better things to do then talk to her. "I hope everything works out for you, and I will always do their if you need someone to talk to." She smiled and reached into her front left pocket to get a slip of paper that contained her cell phone number on it, and her email. Flayace went over and hugged Ania. "Everything will be okay." She said before getting up, smiling, and leaving.
