Yik smiled to himself as he played in the dirt in the playground of the school. Another recess was here! Yik's favorite time of the day. The little boy was currently surrounded by flowers, and he was digging in the dirt to break it up, so more flowers could grow effectively.

He was feeling a bit hungry, and subconciously grew a strawberry plant next to him. He was fond of the little red morsels. He picked one and bit into it, smiling.

Yikmo became acutely aware of someone walking up to him, and he offered them one of the other berries from the plant, smiling brightly. Everybody liked strawberries, right?

Cybil was watching the other children as she sat underneath a nice, shady tree. She had come to live with her uncle, Alaric, for a few weeks now and he had recently enrolled her in school — much to her dismay.

Cybil was watching a strange boy grow plants when she noticed he was growing strawberries — and the white-haired female, in her prim-and-proper grey dress with the matching shoes and stockings, her hair tied with a grey ribbon, moved from her seat on the ground.

She would stare down at the other child as he offered her a strawberry; claiming the small fruit to pop it into her mouth. "Thank you. It is very good." With that, the young dragoness turned to go back to her book.

She never talked much; in class Cybil normally stayed silent, when she was called on, she simply got up and left the room. She was often in trouble for never listening to the teacher, but that did not bother her.

She walked slowly back to her secluded little spot, and reclaimed her book. She was reading a book that had no pictures — it had words. Lots of words. She tipped her head back to gaze at the sky for a moment.

Yik smiled as she took the strawberry. He paused though, as he watched her walk away. She wasn't sitting that far away, but she looked lonely. At least to Yikmo she did.

Hey, maybe she needed a friend! With that thought, the litttle boy stood up, his sleeves falling over his hands. He walked over and waved, smiling brightly.

He pointed at her book, and then put his hands together, opening them like pages. He cocked his head to the side with a confused look on his face. He was trying to put across that he wanted to know what she was reading.
