Whiver nodded at the sound of Murphy's voice. Continuing down the stairs quickly, it didn't take him long to get to the bottom of the stairs. Without a moment's hesitation Whiver was back outside and waiting in the rain, staring up at the sky. When Murphy caught up with him, he smiled to the shorter male.

"C'mon, let's get to that other building!"

Murphy took the stair two at a time, simply vaulting the last set of stairs and startling the secretary at the front desk as he landed heavily. Before she could begin to berate them for rushing through the office he zipped out the door and nodded to Whiver. "Alright then, let's move."

As they rushed down the street, he called over to the other man. "So tell me, how do you usually get electricity during the summer? Can ya absorb energy through direct contact or do you need an adapter for man made electricity?"

Hearing the question, Whiver chuckled lightly to himself. "Direct contact - think of it like sticking your finger into a electrical socket or something. I just take the backup generator and hook myself up." he called back. Shrugging, he decided to add something. "It's no natural electricity, but it does the trick during summer when there aren't as many storms."

Murphy weaved through a pair of bicyclists, spitting expletives at them as they passed. "Bloody bikers! Get off the damn sidewalk!" Catching up to Whiver he nodded. "Bet you could get the scientists to make ya something that makes it feel more like natural electricity, or hell, probably a storm generator knowing this island." He knew there was some sort of slight difference between a lightning bolt and generated energy, though aside from pure amount of energy at once he wasn't really aware of the particulars. His astronomy class had covered something about it tangentally, but the conversation had quickly left him confused.

"So where to next? I admit I'm kinda lost at this point."
