Murphy shook off the umbrella and presented it back to Rayn. "I appreciate the use of the umbrella, if there's anything I can do to pay you back... you need only let me know." He followed Whiver through the door. "Alright, sounds good man, so uh, how much energy do you generally need to sustain yourself? A lightning bolt is... a significant amount of electricity."

Rayn was flying behind them, just listening to their conversation. "I wonder what were doing next after this?" She wondered to herself.

Whiver continued making his way up the stairs, and fairly quickly at that. He pondered on how much electricity he would need. Maybe one strike? However, how much did he want? "I think two strikes should be enough to keep me going for a while." he replied.

When he finally got to the top of the building, he swung open the door to the roof and made his way out. His arms were wide as he breathed in the air, but then instantly went to hold himself from the sudden chill. Looking up to the sky, he took a few steps out to the middle of the building.

Then he waited.

He watched the sky, his ears swiveling as thunder boomed in the distance. His eyes darted as he scanned the area for distant lightning, trying to gauge how long it would take. Although, apparently he didn't gauge it very well because not long after he started did he get struck.

CRACK

Whiver jumped as his body was struck, the electricity coursing through his body. Sure, it didn't hurt him, but it did startle him quite a bit. As his body absorbed the lightning strike, his body began to have a slight glow to it. An effect from the electricity that was newly stored, no doubt.

"Now we just gotta go look for another one." he said, turning to look to his companions with a smile. "I would just stand and wait here, but you know what they say; Lightning never strikes the same place twice."

He gave a quick glance back to Rayn and grinned, “Whatever we want to, I suppose. Though if this pans out I'm not sure what could be more interesting than seeing our friend absorb over a billion volts of electricity.”

He continued to follow Whiver up and cocked an eyebrow as he stepped out into the rain, “Two? Two lightning bolts will keep you going just for a while?” He did some more math, assuming a tribe was more than fifty of his kind, they'd practically have to live in a power plant in order to..., “Son of a bitch!” He yelled as the bolt struck the Krilbrit, causing his own vision to go white. Murphy clutched a hand over his eyes, the jagged spear of lightning burning itself into his retinas. He opened his mouth to say something else but the roar of thunder drowned out whatever it was he tried to say.

Murphy reeled for a moment, stumbling back against the doorway. He opened his all but all he could see was white, though if he focused hard enough he thought he could make out the form of Whiver nearby. “Christ I hope this isn't permanent.” Again he really should have expected this, he'd been lax in his paranoia, and this only drove home that he needed to be really careful when doing stupid things like trying to draw in a lightning bolt.

Rayn stood in the doorway, she didn't know what the lightning would've done to her so she just stood in the door way. Before she even could have guessed, the lightning struck Whiver like a bullet. The lightning was bright in Rayn's eves. When she opened her eyes she was flying in the air.

She saw Murphy struggling to see, she immediately flew over to him. She smiled trying not to laugh. "Just keep your eyes closed, I'll guide you."

"Lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice."

"I don't think that is true but, okay let's go"

Whiver tilted his head slightly. Was Murphy alright? Oh, wait, right - it isn't normal to be able to withstand how bright a bolt is. Rubbing the back of his head, he supposed that he should have had them wait inside. Putting his hand back to his side, he looked around the city from the rooftop. Where would be a good place to head to next...

Pointing off to another tall building, Whiver smiled. "We're going to that one, next." With that, he was headed down the stairs.

Murphy stumbled forward, groping for a wall or rail to brace himself on, nearly tumbling over the railing over the edge of the several story building. He heard Rayn somewhere above him, trying to guide him somewhere, and Whiver declaring that lighting never struck the same place twice and that they should move to another building. “Yeah... right... never twice...” he grumbled, massaging his eyes. It probably wasn't permanent, but he was fairly certain he'd be seeing bright spots in his vision for at least a week.

He leaned against the rail, the rain still thundering down around him. “I'd uh, appreciate it Miss Rayn.” he called out, “Just tell me where to go, please. I'd appreciate if you could help make sure I don't take a header down the stairs as well. Wait up Whiver!”

Rayn Flew to him and touched his eyes. Rayn wrapped his eyes in water to help them heal. "Whiver keep going well meet up with you!" She spoke calmly. "Don't freak out, It's just water. In a second, you should be able to see fine." Rayn rubed his eyes as the water healed them. When she put her hands down, the water dispersed. "Open your eyes, you should be able to see now."

Whiver was descending the stairs quite quickly before the other male called out for him to wait. Stopping completely, the newly energized Krilbrit bounced a bit in his spot. He was impatient to get fully charged, but he wasn't just going to leave his party behind.

Murphy tensed up when Rayne manipulated the water around them, forcing water up under his eyelids to begin to heal the damage done. It wasn't a painful sensation, but there was something incredibly disconcerting about having something move about your eyeballs that you aren't controlling yourself. A vague sense of nausea and plain... wrongness washed through him, then quickly as it arrived, the water was drained out leaving the man visibly able again if a little dizzy. "Thank you Miss Rayne, truly your gift is a boon to-" he cut himself off as she seemed to shift and disappear into the storm itself. Was... was that part of her powers?

The world swam for a moment as the water manipulation was released from his body. Colors twirled and mingled before finally reverting to the drab normality of the office roof. He offered his arm to Rayn before heading off after their fearless leader. "Alright, seems I'm sorted again. Keep going Whiver, right behind ya!"
