More shadow travel.
God, she loved it. Well, not love - she couldn't understand it, she didn't think - but to be able to travel through walls, to defy the rules of science. That was awesome. And now, gliding into the shadows of one wall and ending up on the other side... One of her favorite things.
Another of her favorite things? A certain college-age ferrokinetic she had her eye on. Well, he wasn't here... She knew, she had checked every inch for him. Twice. He wasn't here - maybe R should check the student lounge.
R strode lazily across the cafeteria, with a sort of swagger. One that told people she meant trouble. And she was proud of it. Well, maybe not proud - it gave her a big profile, lots of suspicion. She didn't want that part.
Anyways.
She strode across the cafeteria with a quiet thump thump of her sneakers, and ended up in line next to another - this time a goblin sort of person... Really was very pretty for a goblin. Quietly she observed, moving as needed.

Rum stood in line at the cafeteria, tapping her foot impatiently. She wanted to eat! Why wasn't the line moving? She was currently fiddling with a packet of salt from one of the fast food places downtown. The only thing that was odd was the she was indeed talking, just to the air next to her.

"Yeah, You're right Cider. The sodium found in these packets is too low quality." There was a pause as she shoved the packet back into her jacket. "Well of course i'd like to get industrial stuff, but we aren't allowed in the hardware store anymore."
She paused again, frowning. "Because! We light off that firecracker last week.

Cmon Cider, you silly goose."

She waggled her finger, seeming to not notice Rioko appear next to her. She continued to move up in line when it did move, briefly.

"Fine! Be that way then." She grumbled, crossing her arms and tapping one of her feet impatiently. She idly reached up to finger one of the vials that made up her earrings, grumbling about disrespect.

A ghost.
That was R's initial thought. The goblin girl was probably talking to a ghostly companion of some sort. She hadn't met many ghosts, but she assumed that ghosts would be at least somewhat visible... Probably not. Either way, it still was strange. Honestly, though, the goblin was right - the salt packets were a little too metallic for her taste.
Wait.... Firecrackers?
R was immediately interested. To be so dangerous as to be banned from a corner store, which she knee to be pretty lenient... Wow. That was a lot of danger.
She was probably the thing R needed. An ally of sorts.
As she sidled up, grabbing a ladleful of mashed potatoes, she turned up her charm and began to speak in a casual tone to the goblin in front of her.
"Hey. Heard you needed sodium. What, is sodium chloride not your thing?" A smirk, as she grabbed one of the packets from the small bin next to her. "Yeah, it doesn't quite do it for me, either. Too metallic-tasting."
