There was a slight breeze, causing the lake to lap softly against the shore. The trees whispered their secrets to eachother with their newly formed leaves, and flowers filled the air with their scent. The birds trilled joyfully, and all seemed to be rejoicing with the happyness of Spring.
All but one. She was sitting beneath a tree, her face neither happy, nor sad, but her entire person seemed to emit unhappiness. Her long dark hair whipped freely around her face with the breeze, getting into her sad blue eyes every once in a while, but she made no move to brush it away.
She wasn't expecting to see anyone, since it was a day off, and had thus switched from her normally fiery attire to something a little more calm. A black skirt was around her hips, revealing a small bit of white stomach before a black, long sleeved, v-neck shirt covered the rest. A pair of red kid gloves were on her hands, preventing her from mimicing anyone's powers.
She drew a shaking breath, the only outward sign of the turmoil that was going on inside. She didn't understand anything about her life. It seemed that all life liked doing to her was causing her pain, destroying ties to those she gave her heart to. She was about ready to give up on humanity, and life, forever.
She smiled a jaded smile, "Springtime's the time of happiness? Yeah right." she muttered softly, the wind pulling on her words playfully as it danced around her.
