The new goblin stopped in her tracks upon being greeted, handed a lantern, and informed of all that Orion had gotten up to with Cheeto. She looked the lantern over, letting her shared thoughts with her sister carry a conversation regarding the lantern as Dorito turned it in her hands a few times and licked it as well, maybe magic had a taste? Nope, just dust and brass. She took out a lighter and flicked it open, flames illuminating her features as she tried to light the wick. No oil, wouldn't take, though the glass changed the orange-red flickering flames into a much brighter green-blue.

"Hmmm... Elf stuff."

Dorito turned and gave her sister a narrow eyed, suggestive grin, making Cheeto seem to start perspiring as she leaned back.

"Sooooooooo you're science boy's treasure, are you? Want him to probe you right here and now?"

The two girls shared their thoughts and feelings quite freely, and Dorito immediately could tell just how amazingly flustered she had made her twin. Cheeto was fidgeting, snatching the lantern away from Dorito and hiding behind it, trying to obscure her blushing and how she was shaking at the knees.

"C-c-cut it out he's just cute and he likes my lantern and we were talking about magic and stuff and he called me a treasure that's all. He likes goblins though..."

Cheeto almost fell over as she fussed with the lantern a bit more, seemingly oblivious to how the ghostly light of it simply revealed just how much her sister's scrutiny had gotten to her. Dorito on the other hand approached Orion, getting his name from her sister subconsciously as she held out a hand for him to shake.

"Well hello to you, Orion. You're into goblins and magic and stuff? What do you wanna know about goblins? History? Cuisine? Mating practices? Fashion? Magic?"

"No dice on lighting it, huh? Makes sense I suppose. No fuel."

The change in the flame's color would not go unnoticed however. There was no need for a keen observational eye when it came to that. Anyone paying attention would have noticed the change, and Orion brightened along with the light in the tunnel. A reaction. That was always good sign. Though healthy skepticism could retort with suggestions of different elements in the brass reacting with the flame. Plenty of minerals burned different colors.

Then Dorito mentioned Elves.

"Elf stuff? Ooooh~ Sososo maybe it doesn't have a spell on it(?). And it just has magical properties?"

But apparently Dorito was not of the same mindset as Cheeto and Orion. While his interest was piqued with the mention of elves, she redirected the conversation to teasing, flirtatious matters. For the moment, Orion pretended to not notice. He had let his facade down a few too many times already. He had to at least try to keep it up longer and under more situations.

"Well... I guess we could talk about elves later..."

He gave Cheeto a little wave as she hid behind her lantern.

"So much stuff to know and learn! Um... A little bit of everything I suppose? I AM here to learn after all. I'll just have my glove record it all!"

Cheeto was quick to try and bring up elves, smiling a bit more openly and lowering the Lantern from her face, the green-blue flame in it fading rapidly. She sounded excited to talk magic, her ears perking up and her eyes glinting.

"Elves can make magical things with spells woven into them, but its hard to find their stuff unless you know what you're looking for or get lucky. They're all about-"

Then Orion waved and Cheeto made a stuttering squawk and suddenly hid behind the lantern again as the last of its light faded away. Dorito laughed and almost facepalmed as she turned from Orion to her sister.

"Smooth, sis... Also the lantern's going out can we get some light here?"

Cheeto snapped out of her embarrassment as a new ball of light rose up to the ceiling, granting them all some proper light. Dorito was going to speak again but she blinked a bit and stared at Orion's glove.

"Wait your glowy little glove can record stuff? Well that's dang cool!"

Before Dorito could make a move and try to grab Orion's glove, Cheeto spoke up again.

"Uhh, anywhere you'd like us to start, Mr. Orion? Sis can tell you almost anything you wanna know, and I can tell you the rest!"

Though Orion was keen on maintaining his facade with the two goblins for awhile longer, he had never had such misgivings when it came to his SAGE glove. Not that he could really hide it anyway considering he wore almost everywhere he went. Showing it off was a nice little treat he sometimes indulged in, preferring to hold across his chest in such a way that some reto nostalgics expected him to say it's so bad.

"Yes. Yes. Audio recording is just one of the many functions of my glove. But it's certainly the most used since I go out and do lots of research."

He deactivated the light function on his glove, and turned on the aforementioned audio recorder, with the creation of a new light ball from Cheeto. It still garnered his attention like a moth to a flame, and it took her question to snap him back at out of it.

Excited, he switched to sitting cross-legged on the ground. ready to learn.

"Ooooh... Where to start. Where to start? Alright. Lets start with that."

He pointed upwards at the light ball.

"How exactly are you making that? Is it an inherent trait? Was it something you learned? How did you conjure it without saying any spell-type words?"

Cheeto and Dorito shared a sneaky grin then both responded at the same time to Orion.

<div align=center>"TWINS"</div>

Cheeto put the lantern down and started to speak.

"Dorito and me were born under an omen, under..."

Dorito picked up the sentence right when Cheeto stopped talking with perfect timing.

"...The southern Cross hanging above the moon in the night sky! And we were..."

With the same fluidity cheeto picked up the sentence again.

"...Born twins as well, so we were double-special!"

Cheeto walked forward as a pair of cutesy little angel wings and a halo made of the same light appeared around her.

"I got gifted these cool powers over light, I can make and shape light however I want!"

Dorito merely grinned and crossed her arms.

"Oh you don't want me to show you my powers, anything else you wanna ask though, cutie?"

The simultaneous reply from the two sisters came as a surprise Orion, whom leaned back slightly from the pair as if they were yelling out louder than they actually were. His eyes widened for a moment and he looked almost afraid. The kind of afraid a person became when the people they were talking to suddenly started acting a little strange awkward. But he recovered quickly and raised his glove and hand, ready to type notes as it recorded audio.

His eyes darted between the two of them, following their words, and his head nodded constantly to show that he was keeping up with their little twin trick. The typing on his wrist computer became momentarily even more frantic as Cheeto showed off her powers even more.

"Oh, but I do, Dorito! I want to know about both of you! But I need to focus for a moment. So... Later? Probably soon though. This is so cool!"

He hopped a little on the floor, scooching closer to them.

"So that is the origin of your powers. Neat! But I'm really interested in HOW you... conjure them. I want to know the mental or magical process that goes into making all of this happen. The process, you see, is what intrigues me."

"Well for us its just at will, really. Sis just lets her power out and it works most of the time."

Cheeto shrugged, her illusory wings and halo fading away as she smiled up at Orion. Dorito gave her usual evilly suggestive grin as she also approached Orion, hands behind her back as she walked towards him. There was a slight sway in her hips as she walked, and she leaned in slightly despite having to look up at Orion, eyes glinting in the light.

"You know I could show you how my power works if you really want me to..."

Cheeto was quick to grab Dorito, one hand over her mouth and the other around her shoulders as she wrestled her sister back, eyes daring around nervously as her voice rasped out in a slight panic. She was NOT going to have her sister start putting ideas in this guy's head, she knew just how bad Dorito could get, as she was intimately aware of everything Dorito could get up to and everything she had gotten up to.

"Nonononononononono... No lets talk about more magical stuff for now, any questions other than about our powers?"

Dorito eventually wrestled free of her sister, giving her an icy glower as she got some distance from her sister and sighed before regaining her composure. Those shared thoughts of theirs meant they could settle disagreements pretty quickly, but it also made both of them impossibly stubborn, having argued in their minds countless times.

"Yeah, yeah... Well Cheeto here has the book smarts on all this, she knows all sorts of history and magic and stuff. I'm the culture girl, though we both know everything the other knows which makes it all kinda messy too."

"At will... So there's little regimentation or memorization, and it's just an extension of your normal thought processes. Interesting..."

He had momentarily looked down to look at his typing, and when he looked back up he found himself a little closer to a very suggestive-looking Dorito. Orion quirked an eyebrow at her before she was pulled back by her sister. It was pretty clear that the two of them were at odds when it came to their intentions regarding him, but he kept up the act and returned a smile like he had not noticed the whole ordeal.

"Um... Your demonstration can wait I suppose."

Wanting to get a little movement in his legs, Orion started pacing around the two of them while continuing to take notes and record audio. Even when he was not asking a question, he continued to type. From the glances and looks he stole at the two of them, it looked like he was taking observational notes about them and their appearances.

"Alright. Lets move onto...Lets do something for both of you. What's the history of your... people? What kind of society and culture is it? You two are the only goblins I've met and I assume there are male goblins too?"

Dorito rolled her eyes and seemed to scoff at the question put forward by Orion. Cheeto gave her a concerned look and was about to speak but Dorito cut her off, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm.

"Nope, there are no male goblins! We have to steal males from other races to reproduce. Wanna volunteer?"

Cheeto groaned and dragged her hands down her face slowly, cradling her face. Dorito chuckled a bit as Cheeto looked up and gave an exasperated sigh and corrected her sister. She could tell Dorito was going to be difficult, maybe impossible, but she liked Orion, he was interesting and interested in them, a good combination.

"There are male goblins, but we mostly keep to ourselves. I guess you could say Goblins are an offshoot of fairies and gnomes and trolls and stuff, most of us live in Europe and try not to get too involved with humans."

Dorito joined in, though less sarcastically. She seemed more interested in helping out than just teasing, probably for the sake of her poor sister. For all the fun Dorito had at Cheeto's expense, she could tell her sister was interested in helping this guy out, and just because Dorito was a major tease didn't mean she was only a tease.

"However, there have been a ton of times in the distant past as well as in very recent history where goblins and humans have interacted. Me and Cheets are a good example of the recently part too, first goblins enrolled in the school!"

Dorito threw an arm around Cheeto's shoulders and pulled her close, the two moved as though whispering to each other but didn't make a noise, their mouths didn't move, but they were clearly reacting to some form of communication between the two. Cheeto's eyes went wide and she started to blush before wrestling her sister away and slapping at her playfully. She continued but her raspy voice shook a bit, clearly left a bit flustered by something her sister had done or 'said'.

"Y-yeah... We tended to keep to ourselves, like I said. We focused more on making magical items and mining and forestry and stuff, human technology drew us out of seclusion honestly."

Again, Dorito chimed in with her sarcastic, suggestive tone.

"Among other things."

For a moment, Orion almost bought Dorito's sarcasm regarding the male goblins. Or rather, he entertained the notion that stealing males from other species might work. He was no taxonomist, but he could see the possibility that goblins and, for example, humans as not being so far apart as to not be able to crossbreed. It was like wolves and dogs, or horses and zebras. Different, but close enough the genes to line up. The nodding he was giving Dorito was a testament to his thought process. But in the end, he had to put an asterisk next to those notes and reply on Cheeto's reply instead.

"... A lot of Europe is still countryside... So yeah. I can see mystic folk hiding out in the woods there..."

He was getting into a groove. His typing fingers were a blur.

"... But even the most secluded of peoples cannot hide from the encroach of Man forever... Plus, I'm glad to meet the first of something!"

Their soundless whispering was of great interest to Orion. As they leaned into each other, he leaned closer to get a look at their expressions and mannerisms. But not so close as to disturb them. Body language was a very nice thing to learn when it came to observational research, and Orion got a relatively clear idea of what was being exchanged.

"Woooow. So Dori, Chee..."

Orion applied a pair of impromptu nicknames to them.

"... What were the other things that brought you out into the world? Oh, and what was that you two were just doing? If I may ask."
