First day on the job had been fun so far. Abigail had been making herself familiar with the first floor, and was now finding herself at the lounge. Her favorite top hat rested on her head, covering most of her white hair. There was a small diamond earring in her left ear, while in the other was a large loop one. The new Headmistress never liked to match — it was how she had always been.
So far, she hadn't really met any of the students. And, thankfully, she hadn't met any of their pranks, either. Being the new Headmistress would probably make her 'vulnerable', but the kids would learn. She didn't put up with it. This school was going to be nice and... she hated to say it... orderly by the time she was done with it.
Ugh, organization. Gag me... she thought to herself.
As she walked into the lounge, she actually heard some children. Oh, yay, she got to socialize with the children! She couldn't wait!
Skipping over to where they were, she hopped into a near by chair and folded her right leg over her left. "Why, you certainly won't be kicked out of the academy, deary!" Abigail said, rocking from side to side slightly. It was kind of a habit. "Why ever would you say such a thing? Oh, and I'm Abigail, your new Headmistress. Well, almost new. Maria's leaving soon."
'Miss Narissara' would have been the proper term, but she didn't like that. She liked being thought of as a friend to the students, not just another teacher. Plus, her last name was rather long.
