"I didn't say that you had to have something you were good at academically," Abigail said. That kid was probably a good person or had something else he was good at outside of school. "But either way, trust me. Have confidence, it helps. If you don't think you'll do well you usually don't." It had happened to her and the outcome had both turned out that way and the complete opposite. But, as Headmistress, she had to try and help out.
He only smiled before hiding it quickly not because she cared but because she had no idea what his life outside of school was. "How many lies are you going to tell me?" He asked...he knew waaay to much for only being about 7 in age...
"Because nothing I want ever comes when I have confidence so why bother trying to have it in the first place?" He asked her suddenly having been through so much infact he did have confidence at one time...like his father never hurting him and not coming home drunk by giving him that money...and what happened only further de motivated him
She shook her head. "You can't give up. Do you know how many things will come along in life that will be difficult? Do you plan on just giving up?" This little boy was definitely odd to talk to. He wasn't as cheery as the other little children... she would have to dig up some information from the other teachers about him.
He nodded...there was a knife in his hand still though he wasn't going to kill himself in a public place like this...he would like to...but people would stop him when he really does deserve some kind of sweetness even if it was death rather then false praise and how people can try to help someone like him only to make him feel worse
