"Maybe because they can take it easier then the fool or jerk. Besides, I'm three hundred. I highly doubt half the people I meet even believe it, I have no friends because I don't fit in. I mean it's hard enough with my past, why force myself to fit it where I don't. The only person who's talked to me was this weird strange girl yesterday, she almost fried me because of her curiousity of what my face looked like. I should just wear a ninja mask and look dashingly handsome or something." He said with a chuckle.

"No one wants to be friends with me kid, no one. And as to why I helped you, you needed it. Amelia needed it, I can see more then you young man yes I look young. But I've seen people like you, like Amelia. Amelia's like the kind of girl I want only maybe not as voilent." He said with a chuckle.

"I want you two to know I wish you both luck, I hope your wedding is grand and happy. But please kid don't lose all brains and don't rush into it. Savour the happiness, but don't wait too long. Make sure the moment's right before you ever think of popping the question or kissing her or anything." He didn't talk often about himself. Most of the time it was about others.

He hated to think about himself, or his past. He liked to busy himself with other things that had nothing to do with him. He wanted so much to one day live his dream out but he knew it was impossible.

He laughed lightly, "Well, maybe you should meet more then just that strange child. I mean, you are a good kid, even before you somehow manipulated my life for the better. There are no guys or girls your age, or even a little above your age?"

He kept that in mind if they were ever to meet a child. Well, I guess people should want a kind and great person to be around. He laughed as well at the last comment.

"I want you two to know I wish you both luck, I hope your wedding is grand and happy. But please kid don't lose all brains and don't rush into it. Savour the happiness, but don't wait too long. "Don't really plan to pop the question anytime soon. Thanks though for the advice. I am actually thinking of popping the question around sometime after Valentine's day. Not really so near to that date though." He still obviously had not thought it out fully. "But that will be when I try to kiss her for the first time." He felt weird telling this not to the fourteen year old Percy, but just anyone alone.

He smiled, "The only person who had enough guts to talk to me was the girl that almost fried me." He chuckled. "I am not the type that talks often to people, I usually talk to people who need help. I feel why try to make friends with people if they are too different and wouldn't want to talk to you in the first place. It's odd that girl, she's the only person whose ever tried to talk to me. She went out of her way even if she almost fried me. I wonder if she was so desparate to talk that she'd risk her life talking to some cloaked stranger." He thought as he spoke.

"Anyway your timing with Amelia sounds about right, but it'll be hard for you. I mean the dance coming up and all, the moonlight and romance. You got to watch yourself, those are perfect times for proposals and you might have it out of your mouth or kissing her before you know it. I've watched a lot of couples so I know." He said to him, his words were quite wise.

"Did this girl ever introduce herself with a name?" He wondered if she had, or if they were both trying to be outmystifying each other. It seemed like the "cool" thing to do in their age now.

"Yeah, I will try to watch myself, I just hope I don't propose. I don't think we will kiss, because we are going to the festival mainly to just have a good time. I mean, the hugs and stuff are alright, but I feel greatest when I am just with her and having a fun time." He wasn't much of the romantic type and Valentine knew it too. He wouldn't change, he didn't want to make himself change just for love's sake.

Percy chuckled... "You do know moonlight, chinese lanterns, music, all of that is notorious for bringing on romance whether you even try to or not you might get caught up in it. Like tonight." He chuckled lightly... "You almost kissed her didn't you? Or should I say, you would've kissed her." Percy knew the whole movie wasn't the most romantic thing, but the end kiss could get to a man.

"Your lucky you didn't watch a really romantic movie. But the dance will be hard for you if just tonight was hard. Remember I've lived three hundred years. I've watched couples. Your only 17 and you've just blindly started to be in one, so I do know more then you on this subject." He said with a chuckle.

"And yes I know her name, Terra I think it was. Hard to forget a name of someone who practically is stranger then anyone." He chuckled... "It'd be fun to try and scare her, she kept trying to make me stay and talk. Probably was just trying to get a date to the dance or something."

"Actually I had no intention of ever kissing her." He knew it was the truth. He didn't want to ruin the relationship by kissing her in the first place. "And sure, the moonlight and all might be romantic and yes, I am only eighteen, but the thing is that I trust that we won't make any moves on each other, other than holding hands and hugging and me putting my arom around her. Things like that. As for your predicament, I think you should go out a little more. I know it sounds weird but if you go out and meet new people, I am sure you will meet more people more or less like Terra." Terra...what an odd name. He looked down, wondering if his voice was sound.

"Me? New people? Please, I've had enough hate in my lifetime. I don't want to see more people and try to achieve friendship with someone just because I'm pitiful and sit in the forest alone." He looked at Valentine.

"I'm not changing myself to fit into a world I don't belong in. I was born in 17... let me see.... 17... Forget that... Some date in the 1700's I'm not going to fit in with a bunch of newbies, it was hard enough to put up with women wearing pants, then one piece bathing suits, then they're now wearing two piece. Honestly it's pathetic, I don't fit in here." He said the words with feeling.

He couldn't help but feel out of place in a world that had changed so much in one lifetime.

"Who said anyone needs to make friends with you just because of pity?"
He looked at Percy. "I would have made friends with you not because of pity, then again, at the age of thirteen I was kind of like you, except I went to a rage when I was alone." He looked down solemnly as the drifting winds brushed against him.

He looked up and had an idea, a smirk came to his eye. "I want you to watch a movie on Friday with me. It is called Kate and Leopold. It is kind of the situation you have now, except that he isn't fourteen. Just try to apply it."

Percy sighed... "I'll watch the movie, but it's not going to help. I mean it's a movie, it's never truly been done. Listen, I'm three hundred I truly don't need a 17 year old boy telling me that if I just tried to get more friends maybe it'd be easier."

He sighed... "You know nothing of my past, of the things I've seen. The killing, the sadness, the hate, the pain, the grueling journey of people trying to make it. Trying to fit in. I don't have someone like me in this world or at least here. I don't even go to the academy, I stay in the forest. I don't need the academy even if I never had schooling." He said with a sigh.

"You know, you seem arrogant for someone that just wants someone. As for not wanting advice just because I am eighteen and younger than you, that is ignorance in itself. I know that you probably have seen your fair share of killings, but when you see your mother and father die right before your eyes, then you can talk!" His voice raised, the memory of the fire in his house and his mother departing from him, only to have a flaming beam collapse on her and his father to have died to save his mother and him by rushing them out, still burned his memory.

A bitterness had struck in him. "Don't be an ignorant jerk."
