Sisters Bicker

The feeling of the wind in her hair made Alice smile as she drove her convertible. She was getting back home after a date with Raphael and that had gone rather swimmingly as well. Today was just great in her opinion. Though the hour was getting later than she had expected as she pulled into the driveway and then shortly after around back to the garage where all of her other lovely cars were currently stationed. Along with her most precious of transportation that she used for the Crew's activities when they were on the job. Though the whole crew hadn't done anything in a very long time since coming to the island.

Maybe it was time that they looked for a new target. Get another influx of money into their accounts to add what was already there. But she didn't want to ruin the night with thoughts like that. She like'd to think about Raphael after their dates. It just seemed appropriate to the elf.

Once she had her car parked she paused for a moment and considered if she should also get her self a motorcycle. Probably not like Raph's but one of the high powered racing bikes she'd seen somewhere. Shaking her head after a moment Alice closed the garage door and walked through the door into her and Jess' Mansion. They had been living like sisters for quite some time now and it had been nice. Before Alice lived alone and one can only do with so much space when one lives alone. With Jess to help fill space when Alice couldn't think of what to do with a room or hall it made Alice's life just that much better.

But something was wrong, Alice turned a corner and though the TV was on in the main living room, Jess was not watching the show that was on. Instead they were pacing between the couch and TV looking worried. This wasn't so much strange as it more just hadn't happened in a very long time. Stepping forward and placing her jacket on the back of the couch as the tall elf sat on one side of the couch looking at her 'sister' she raised an eyebrow and spoke. "Something wrong Jess?"

Alice blinked a few times at the tone of Jess's voice, she was acting as if Alice was an irresponsible teen who had been out to late on prom night. "Jess, I'm a fully responsible adult. We don't have a curfew and we haven't done anything on the island yet to have any authorities coming after us. What is the harm of me dating someone?"

Alice turned where she sat and laid down on the couch, her legs draping over the arm, while her hands moved and cushioned her head. "And second of all, we were talking. We haven't proceeded to 'The Act' yet. And hell if I know if we are compatible in that way. I like him, but we've only been out together a small handful of times so far. I'm not letting anyone tap this until I know them better." Alice removed one of her hands from behind her head to gesture at herself as she spoke.

"And what has you getting your panties in a twist any way?"

"I've never said you were not allowed to worry. I just personally thinking you are overly worried about a man I've been spending time with." Alice was actually getting a little defensive of herself as Jess spoke to her grumpily. But as soon as she took in a breath and looked at Alice again, the older elf felt muscles in her back that she didn't realize she was tensing released as she realized why Jess would be this worried about her.

Swinging her legs off the arm of the couch and instead of laying on the couch Alice sat up to look at her 'sister'. "Jess..." Alice now was the one that sounded worried as she didn't want her young friend, who she did count as family, to think back on what they had done before. "He's a werewolf, so he's probably really strong, have an amazing sense of smell, and other dog related abilities. But the first time we met was during the Magical Creatures incidents. He saved my life from one of them and in turn I took him to dinner. It's all proceeded from there. None of us on this island are normal shmucks Jess. But he is a nice guy who I really like, I've even been able to relax around him more than I have with anyone else outside of the gang."

Alice looked down at her hands as she shook her head. "It's kind of crazy, I never thought I could feel like this for a man who doesn't work in the same line of work as we do. But he's a clean man Jess, he hasn't had to do what we do. He hasn't felt a need to do what we do. And to be honest, living here on the island. I think maybe all of us can go clean. From what I remember Boulder is working as a bouncer at a club. You and I haven't needed to work for months, legit or otherwise. Maybe it's time we leave all of that behind us..."

Alice shook her head as she chuckled a little wry and a touch sad. "If he wanted to scam us, or steal from us. Or would attempt to do so, he had several chances to do so. And Raph is to distinct to get away with anything, he'd easily stick in someone's mind. Even here on the island." Alice was looking at her hands and smiling to herself.

However Jess did bring up some more points. "We could go shooting Jess, I've gone out into a clearing in the woods to shoot some clay pigeons. You've just looked so enthralled in what you were doing here. Or we could go see movies. Hell's bells Jess, we could go shopping together if you want to. You don't have to be stuck here."

When her little sister pointed out that Raph could be a cop Alice gave a soft laugh. "I doubt that Jess. He doesn't feel like he's a cop when I'm around him. I understand your worry Jess, but honestly he's a normal guy. And I like being around him."

"The only thing's I've said about you Jess is that you are my sister. And you have a proclivity to go behind my back to watch the pay-per-view channels when I'm out and about." Alice shrugged as she said it. "He honestly doesn't pry into everything. And this would have to be one hell of a long con if it starts with him getting in my good graces by saving me from a monster in the middle of the whole Inter-dimensional Monster business."

When Jess said that she was just worried for her it made Alice smile. "Well, it's good to know that the best sniper around is looking out for my back." She leaned forward and gave her 'sis' a quick hug. Once she sat back down she put her hands behind her head and laid down on the couch in full. "Now, what sort of places would you like to go shopping? It's been forever since we've gone out and bought some matching fancy dresses for any parties. or would you like to do something more casual? Maybe stop by a gun shop? See if they have anything interesting on the island?"
