Paul reached the edge of the cliff. He looked over the edge to the water below. What was he doing? Why did he run off like that? It just now clicked what he had done. But he knew he wasn't alone. He heard terrible noises from the trees behind him.
The darkness had followed him.
He fell to his knees and hugged himself. He hadn't even realized that all this time, ever since the incident at the stables, his eyes had been 20/20 vision without his glasses. But he didn't care about that now. Strange monsters were all around him and about to destroy him. And Corona wouldn't respond to his pleas.
"Corona.. Corona.. please help me... where are you? Please help me.. Corona.." He started to sob as he heard even more terrible demonic sounds from the forest. Rae would be in danger as well. The closer she got to Paul, the more she noticed demonic eyes staring at her from the trees. By the time she noticed them, it was too late. She was unable to turn around. They were chasing her down, trying to get to her before she could meet up with Paul.
"CORONA!" He cried out loudly, desperate for his help. He started to pray to God to save him from the terror. And God responded. A light appeared next to him and there stood Corona. With his arms crossed, staring into the forest.
"Do you wish to save them?" He asked. Paul didn't know what Corona meant. And he didn't care. He was just so glad that Corona had came to rescue him. He grabbed onto Corona's leg as he sobbed. But Corona had other ideas. He grabbed him by the shirt and stood him up. "Answer me, Paul. Do you wish to save the humans from the eternal Hell they will eventually face? Or will you sit here and cry, awaiting death from the demons? What is your choice?"
Paul slowly stopped crying and looked into Corona's glowing eyes. He was right. All this time he was trained to defeat creatures like this, and at such a crucial moment he was too afraid to fight back. Corona must've been ashamed of him. Rae had no special training against the darkness and yet in the end she rescued Paul from his own nightmare.
"I wish to save them." He said. And in a flash Corona vanished, as Paul stood at the end of the cliff in Guardian Form. His eyes and hair glowed golden as two marvelous angelic wings stretched from his back.
And the setting sun behind him only magnified his graceful beauty.
