".....Right." He shook the remaining snow on him and sat down again. The sun had half-set by now, the sky becoming orange in color. The snow sparkled in the light, and everything seemed at peace. There wasn't a sound heard in the mountains for that moment, as if everything stopped what it was doing to watch the sun fall behind the horizon.

"N-no.. actually.." He said, only half-paying attention. ".. I'm like.. whats the word.. hypnotized.. or something.." Corona had said that his personality would eventually take after him, that would explain why he suddenly had such fascination with the sun and the stars. Corona could lay under the stars for hours doing nothing but stare at them. Would Paul eventually become like this too? Corona was worse than a girl when it came to stuff like this.

He rubbed his eyes. Staring at the sun too long blinded him again. He hoped his eyes would eventually become immune to that if it meant having such fascination with it. It seemed so trivial to him. Why would something like the sky be so beautiful? He had seen it so often during his life, maybe that was why. Corona told him the sky was a bit different in Heaven, and that Earth's sky was so much more beautiful.

"Over 1000 years and the sky hasn't changed at all." He mimicked. "That was what Corona said." He explained. "Humans mass reproduced like crazy and became more and more sinful as the years went on. The planet became more polluted. The world shook and twisted and took different shapes. Yet the sky always stayed the same. Every night the sun sets, and every morning the sun rises. Sometimes clouds hide it.. but it's still there"

He thought about these words and their meaning. Corona said them all the time. He knew they had a hidden meaning. It was then he sat up with a surprised look on his face. That was it! "God will always be there for you.. even if Darkness covers your vision and makes it seem as if he isn't. No matter what happens, God will always come back for you. Don't let the darkness decieve you... That's what it means! I figured it out!"

Rae stared at him as he spoke. When he translated Corona's words, she smiled softly. "I like that." No one had ever been there for her. She'd been alone her whole entire life--maybe not literally, but she still had been.

He looked at her and smiled. "Oh? .. Me too. I wonder if Corona came up with it? I'll ask him when he wakes up." He laid back down and rested his eyes. He was getting quite tired. He thought about Corona's little saying. It made quite a bit of sense. Was it why Corona enjoyed looking at the sun so much? Did it remind him of God? Of his home? It was these thoughts that Paul had as he drifted asleep.

Rae saw his eyes close but didn't think about it until five minutes later when she started talking about the scenery and he didn't say anything. She gently shook his arm. "Paul? You alright?" She cautiously lifted one of his eyelids before dropping it back down.

"Must be asleep..." She yawned and soon was asleep herself.

Rae woke up then next morning with a stiff neck and a sore back. She realized she had been curled into an awkward shaped ball on her side. Yawning, she sat up and rubbed her neck. Looking over at Paul and seeing he was still asleep, decided to climb a nearby tree.

Once hidden high enough, she sat on one of the branches and waited for Paul to awake.
