"Why would I ask if I knew? Just after all this walking, you pick this cave, and this very spot, to sit down and do nothing. It seems a little strange is all."
"Are you calling me strange?" She stood. "Fine, if you want, we can leave." She headed down the cave.
Rae stopped and leaned against a wall, sighing to herself. "Maybe you shouldn't be so offending," she spat, but knowing she didn't mean any of it. She was just a very easily offended person. "I'm sorry, Paul."
He stood up and walked over to her (or, where he thought she was from where her voice came from) and laughed a little. "It's okay. I'm sorry for offending you. But what I meant was, it seemed strange to me that you would want to come all this way to just sit there quietly."

Rae pursed her lips to keep from laughing and turned her light off. "Usually I only faint if I have been out of the sun for hours, haven't gotten any sleep in a while and then use the light. That was the case last time."
