When Rae figured they were far enough away, She stood, only to feel an arrow pierce her arm. She gasped and staggered a bit before clutching her arm. She glared off into the distance.
Rae shook her head and quickly tore the arrow out. She pressed her hand to the wound and shook her head. "No. Lets keep moving. You can look at it later." She began walking quickly.
"B-but!" He chased after her, narrowly avoiding another arrow. Corona said that it wouldn't exactly be smart to check the wound while under attack by a skyfull of arrows.
When they were plenty far away, Rae weakly sank down onto the ground and removed a shaking hand from her wound. Blood poured out, dripping to the ground and staining her clothing. She looked up at Paul.
He took her arm gently and closely examined the wound. He didn't have very much knowledge about such things, though he knew enough. And anything he didn't know, Corona surely did. "It didn't go all the way through, the bone must have stopped it. You can still move your arm and everything right? Is it numb or anything?"
"It's in too much pain to be numb." But her breath hissed through her teeth. She clamped a hand back over the wound and held her arm close to her side.
"Hold on we need to close the wound. It's a bit too large to clot very well on its own. Here, let's do this." He took his sword and cut off a large piece of cloth from the bottom of his shirt. He took her arm -despite any sort of arguments she may have had - and rapped the cloth tightly around the wound of her arm and was able to put a knot in it well enough as a temporary bandage. "That should hold at least until we get back to the school. You can go to the hospital wing when we get back."
