Rae wanted him to just be quiet, but she answered his questions. "We were just walking around. Because I felt like it. And no, I don't. I doubt anyone really noticed I was in the group."
"Oh.." After all those questions the only thing he had to say was 'Oh'? It even gave Corona a headache, which he didn't even think was technically possible. Paul must've been really bored or something. Or maybe walking alone with a girl made him a bit uncomfortable.
He poked her in the arm when she didn't seem to notice that they had reached the school. The sun was going down now and the sky had turned a beautiful orange. Corona mentioned how he used to sit and watch the sunset whenever he was on Earth, every single day. But when Paul tried to gather more information on this subject, Corona didn't respond.
"'Thanks'?" He looked at her, confused. "Why did you thank me?" His head tilted as he seemed even more confused. He pushed his face up to hers like he did when the first met. Staring into her eyes. "What's up with your face? Why is it red like that?"
Rae put her forehead to his. "One, thank you for informing me we were here. Two, I don't know what's up with it. Three, because I am embarrassed I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't notice we had arrived. That answer all your questions?"
"May I ask you to explain?" He slightly lowered his face so that he could continue looking into her eyes. Why is it he did this sort of thing anyway? It really was quite strange. Probably even stranger to any third parties that happened to see them.
