Ven was lounging in the student lounge.

Quite literally.

The young man was lying on his back paralell across an armchair in a way that would have made his mother furious with him. ("Arm rests are for arms, Thievenne! Not your head and knees!") He was wearing a pair of headphones and listening to one of his favorite bands. His headphones were oversized and acted as blinders, blocking out his peripheral vision, so he didn't notice someone else enter the room at first.

He pulled them down and said to the new person, "Hey! Let me know if my music is too loud."

Then, he said, "Or if you want any coffee because I'm thinking of making a pot."

Blake had just returned to the student lounge after a run around most of the island. He couldn’t wait to get back into training, but first he needed to find some more people for the squad. As Blake walked in he noticed a dark headed boy lounging around on one of the armchairs. Blake’s mother would have had a heart attack if she saw this. She was always proper about how you should sit in a chair.

Blake headed over to a chair by the window. He was just about to sit down when the other boy spoke, Blake shook his head “Don’t worry about the music I am about to put my headphones in also. But I would love a coffee thanks”

Blake had never spoken to this boy before but he seemed very down to earth and very easy to get along with, as Blake sat down he turned to the boy “I am Blake by the way.” It was weird to introduce himself, he normally just stuck to his group of friends and that was it. But Blake being the head of the Cheerleading Squad though he better get to know the rest of his school mates.

"I'm Ven, it's good to meet you, Blake," Ven said. He gave an enthusiastic wave that might have looked ridiculous should anyone else have done it, but Ven had a way of making ridiculous things look natural and easy.

He sprung out of his chair and then staggered a step as the cord from his headphones pulled out of the phone he'd tucked into his back pocket. He made a face and unplugged the wire, letting the headphones rest on his neck.

"What do you take in your coffee?" Ven asked. "Cream? Sugar? Uhh...I really don't know what else you'd put in coffee. There's this dude I met who put shots of whisky in his but doing something like that would get me in trouble soooo you'll have to settle for the usual."

Ven poured his cup and dumped in about twelve packets of sugar, stirring it.

"How are you liking it here so far?" Ven asked, making small talk as he made the coffee.
