Appearance
How Shuji looks to a person is entirely dependant on how they are looking at him. Viewing a photo, anyone can see that he is a pretty average looking Japanese male. He stands just over 5'5" tall with short, messy brown hair and a rather plain face sporting stubble on his chin. His eyes are brown. He isn't particularly muscular, having a rather straight framed body. Overall, a face you could easily lose in a crowd.
However, if you are looking at him in person and you are subject to his powers, it becomes a totally different story. While he still looks the same, something about all those plain, average Joe features become startlingly attractive. You never noticed just how bright his eyes shine, or how his stubble frames his face just the right way~.
He wears jeans and t shirts with a hoodie most days, unless he has to work in which case he is in his uniform. He does own a suit and a tie, in case he needs to dress up for anything. Though don't expect him to shave his stubble. Does it really grow? Does he trim it to that length? The world may never know.

Personality
Even with how strange his life has turned out, Shuji is a pretty optimistic guy. He's generally one to just roll with the punches, not concerned with fame or status. He just wants to live comfortably. He is also really considerate, and would never do something that he feels would cause someone else distress. Very little makes him angry, but he will react strongly if he sees someone else being mistreated.
He also seems rather oblivious to the weirdness that surrounds him, unfazed when kidnapped by mafia bosses or cornered by an amorous dragon. If things get too hairy even for him, he is quick to retreat and catch his breath somewhere quiet. Preferably with a locked door.

Skills
Being a college dropout, Shuji has worked several entry level jobs in his time. He knows the ground level basics of just about every type of business, but is especially skilled at customer service.
He is also adept at running away, given his past of having to escape weird and potentially life threatening situations. Unless there is a supernatural difference in speed or agility, he should be able to outrun his pursuers.
Shuji is actually a pretty good cook, having cooked for himself for as long as he could remember and getting a feel for how to make cheap food taste great.

Powers
Shuji gives off an aura that passively increases his attractiveness to all who are affected. Anyone who looks at Shuji whose sexuality could lead to them being attracted to him finds that they are, in fact, enamored with him.
Affected individuals aren't hypnotized and still act in line with their normal personality. They simply feel themselves drawn to Shuji in a romantic sense. If he asks them to do something, they are considerably more likely to comply. Staying in the aura longer strengthens the effect, leading eventually to more aggressive, forward behavior on the part of the affected individuals. Individuals affected by the aura also have a strong desire to protect Shuji from harm.
When an individual leaves the aura, they retain vague memories of their feelings for Shuji, but are generally really confused as to why they felt that way toward him. Over time they will forget about their attraction to him unless they are exposed again.
Shuji is in no way aware that he has this power, and likewise has no way of controlling it. It is just kind of always on. However, it should be noted that it is theoretically possible for someone to actually, somehow fall in love with him on his own actual merits.
Should Shuji choose someone who actually loves him without his aura as a romantic partner, actively forsaking all others, his power will stop working entirely and he will be able to simply be with that person.

Not the power itself, but the effect it has on people, leads Shuji into conflict with a lot of people because they tend to think he's trying to steal their significant other, etc.

Somehow linked to his "harem aura," but in and of itself a separate power, Shuji has a sort of luck based immunity that can only really be described as plot armor. He can take a beating and be left with only moderate bruising. Broken bones turn out to just be dislocated. Getting thrown into the air lands him in a conveniently placed swimming pool or pile of mattresses. A bullet through the chest conveniently misses anything vital.
Likewise, Shuji can recover from injuries and illness in a fraction of the time it takes a normal person to. This happens even more rapidly if he is being cared for by people that are in love with him, whether it be from his aura or their own volition.
He can be killed, but it would take an incredibly dedicated effort to actually pull off.
He also seems to have a sort of odd luck, where a mixture of chance and clerical errors can lead to all sorts of weird situations and hijinks for him to land in.

This power is not likely to go away if his harem aura finally disappears.

Background
His mother having died years before, Shuji grew up with his father, going to school and just living as a normal boy. Then everything changed when he turned fifteen. Girls, and some guys, began acting weird around him. Even older individuals, like some of his teachers, began treating him differently.
His father kicked him out of the house as soon as he could, saying that he was sabotaging his dates. Shuji worked several jobs to afford an apartment by himself, and continued school as well as he could. He tried to ignore the weird advances he got from people, and insisted on making it on his own.
Despite his unusual circumstances, Shuji was able to get into college. But the combination of harder classes, a bigger workload as he had to work more jobs to pay for his school, and the worsening situation with people falling in love with him, he dropped out of school.
Shuji went back to living a bachelor's life in his apartment, working mostly nights when he wouldn't see as many people and just kind of finding contentment in his own life. But he wanted a change of pace.
One day he received a letter in the mail, addressed to Mr. Nishimura. This letter was actually for his neighbor, who shared his last name and was a spirit medium of some sort. It told him that his life struggles were understood and that there was a place where he could live and be happy without fear. The letter had a boat ticket with it, and so he packed his things, quit his job, and took the journey to Manta Carlos to begin a whole new life brimming with new adventure.
