A few days ago, Isaac had stumbled upon quite the discovery: an app called 'Bleedr'. He'd gone back and forth a bit deciding whether or not he wanted to use it; it was supposed to be a way to connect vampires to willing blood donors...and that was what he needed, since donated blood in bags that you buy from a store just weren't as good as the real thing, even if you warmed it up. It just wasn't the same.

Finally giving in, Isaac decided to set up an account. He sat quietly in a folding chair in the stables, swiping through the app on his phone. He wasn't sure what to say when he matched with someone, so he didn't really send any messages yet...he was more curious to see who was around that he would end up matching with.

Tiffany Fairchild had been down on her luck lately with this Bleedr app. She'd had it for at least a few months now, but she hadn't gotten a single message past 'hey'. Maybe there was already enough blood to go around for the vampires and the vampiric, she often thought when she opened her phone to an astounding 0 notifications.

Her eyes flashed gold, but nothing in the glimpse caught her attention. The light from her phone screen was brighter than that future.

She sat up from where she was laying down--which, to be specific, was a newly-carved bench that had popped up in between the stables and the sports field--and opened up the Bleedr app again for the third time in the past fifteen minutes. Maybe now she'd have a message.

...Nope. Nothing.

Maybe she had to be a little bit more proactive? She'd tried before, but she didn't get very many warm responses. After a few moments of swiping, her thumb paused above a new picture. . .and started looking through the profile of this dark-haired boy that looked to be around her age--oh. It was super short. Well, more straight to the point.

Tiffany, under the assumption that this one wouldn't message her either (especially since he seemed so aloof already), decided to double-tap and Super-Suck this 'RebornDead' guy, which was like Super-Liking, but vampire. She then continued on with her browsing and swiping, tucking her legs under her to prepare herself for a whole lot more of nothing--or, at least, that's what she assumed.

His phone buzzed in his hand and made a noise. "Huh." Isaac opened the profile of CakePop, some girl who had 'Super-Sucked' him, apparently. This app was kind of dumb, but perhaps he would get something out of it, after all. It appeared that she was online, so he sent her a message out of pure boredom:

Hey there. What are you up to?

Isaac wasn't the most charismatic of people...but he had the feeling he would need to turn on the charm a little if he was going to get a meal tonight. Needless to say, if things worked out - and perhaps he was being a little idealistic, here - he might have stumbled upon someone who would become a recurring feed. Isaac wasn't a selfish creature - he was more than willing to compensate those he fed from, as his master had taught him to always take care of his sheep.

A soft chime made Tiffany pause a second time. Her thumb hovered over the banner at the top of the screen, and, after a moment of contemplating ignoring it for a couple minutes just so she didn't look desperate, she tapped on it to reply.

Nm, just getting some fresh air again tonite, u?

Her texting was so old-school, but she'd never kicked the habit even when everyone else did. She'd even gone so far as to adjust her autocorrect even though she usually just ended up turning it off.

Tiffany brought her legs up onto the wooden bench to tuck her boots beneath her. She gripped the phone in both her hands and stared at the screen, waiting for a reply. There was no doubt that she was excited to have finally been messaged by someone, and she hoped he wouldn't end up ghosting her like all the others.

Ghosts and vampires were two totally different things.

Lily nickered softly at the door to her stall. Isaac stared at her for a moment before getting up and going over to pet the white horse's face, letting his fingers drift up and down while he waited for the girl to either respond or ignore him completely. He reached into his pocket and produced an apple, twisting it to break it in half before feeding it to her. Lily was a gentle creature, never seemed to mind his company, wasn't afraid of him...then again, with his aura, most animals and humans tended to be drawn in to him anyways. It was all part of being a predator.

His phone beeped in his pocket and he pulled it out with raised eyebrows. Interesting. She'd responded in a pretty timely manner. With one hand still petting Lily, he used the other to reply:

Hanging out at the academy stables. You a student?

His eyes were red and his throat was dry. He was hungry now, and thinking about how this girl could give him his next potential meal was just making it worse. Sure, he had a blood pack in one of his jacket pockets, but something fresh would be so much better right now.

Tiffany's eyes sped over the text, then flickered up in the direction of the stables in the distance. She wondered if he'd be able to see her from where he was if he tried, and the thought made her sink down a little in her seat. Her thumbnails clicked against the screen with her reply.

Yea. Yru at the stables?

She puckered her lips in thought. Should she go meet him, or should she wait for him to ask her to? She thought it would look a little creepy if she just ran over there right now. Or would it just look desperate? Besides, she liked to chat with the people she met; it usually helped the both of them loosen up.

Tiffany glanced around the field she sat in, which was cloaked in the darkness of night. Her parents would have scolded her for sitting outside all alone in the middle of the night, telling her that someone could kidnap her and hurt her and that she should just come back home and have a cup of hot cocoa. But this was Manta Carlos; those things just didn't happen. Right? She didn't know the guy on the other side of the phone, but she'd bet even he wasn't like that.

Hm, interesting. He kind of hoped that she was a little more intelligent than she made herself sound, but blood was blood either way, so he supposed when it came down to it, he couldn't care less how smart or dumb she was. Lily pushed her face against him and he fed her the other half of the apple in his hand while writing out his reply.

It's quiet here. Feel free to join me, if you like.

Hm. This app was weird, but he supposed he didn't mind it all that much. Things seemed to be working out so far, and if they continued on like this, he might find himself with a fresh drink of blood within the hour. Assuming she didn't chicken out.

Tiffany unfolded her legs and stood up from the bench. She bit her lip lightly and texted back.

Omw(:

She turned off her phone but kept it clutched in one hand as she started off in the direction of the stables. After tripping over several rocks, she decided it was probably a good idea to turn on her phone's flashlight, which was just what she did.

. . .

The light of her phone finally reached the doors of the stables. The shining glare flickered as she fiddled around, and then the light disappeared.

Tiffany poked her head in first, followed by the rest of her body in a bouncy step. Her eyes glanced about the stables, looking to see if she could see anyone. What if he'd already left? It wasn't that long of a walk, but he could've been a really impatient guy.

"Hellooo...?"

Isaac hummed in response to her reply - a deep, soothing sound - and pocketed his phone. He ran his fingers over Lily's face and murmured to her wordlessly as he waited for his meal to appear.

He smelled her before he saw her, but she didn't make it hard to make herself apparent, even calling out a greeting to him. He wondered if she knew that he'd already sensed her presence even before she spoke.

"Hey."

He turned his head and looked at the girl with red eyes, glowing with hunger. It'd been a while since he'd last fed. "So you came," he offered his signature smirk. No need to scare her off, he supposed.

[Emotions: nervous, perky, curious]

The person she spotted matched the vampire boy's profile picture pretty well. Yet, still, she almost couldn't believe it. Even though she had wanted this for so long, her nerves were on fire. Her legs felt like they might disappear, and her hands shook so much that she busied them with something else to keep calm. She twirled a lock of hair around her finger and smiled brightly.

"Hi!" She naturally began to ask him for his name, but she quieted down when she realized that he probably didn't care about all the little, personal details. This was a simple feed and run; she'd never known it to be any other way with the vampires on these islands. It made her feel a little lonely, he could tell.

Her parents would be furious if they found out she was here with a guy like this. Their distaste for vampires ran thick. She was unsure if she was here for the thrill of rebellion, or for the refreshing feeling of being able to help someone. Still, she remained positive.

Tiffany walked closer to him, her steps like a breeze, and she began to unwrap her knit winter scarf to expose her unmarked neck. "Do you have any requests? Something you want to do before we...?"
