As part of Havoc's student council initiative, Starlight Academy is going to be running an after school program teaching self defense for free! While there were always lessons available on the island, generally it was treated like any other extra curricular and you'd have to pay. Now, funds from the school are being used to pay professionals to teach self defense to all grade levels.
This isn't martial arts, but instead general self defense. If someone grabs your wrist, here's what to do. If someone tries to assault you, here's what to do. There's a lot of focus on temporarily disabling your opponent to give you time to flee.
Havoc doesn't have final say on who qualifies, but he does have professional experience and is helping screen people coming in, so that means optional threads as he does that (not everyone is going to get screened, honestly!)
Once I get a few people signed up we can start getting students in, but for now it's just the trainers.
Trainers can be staff, but don't need to be. However, they must be at least college level if they're students--they're basically looking for responsible adults, and they should have some kind of experience/qualification.
