Alexis scowled at Vega when Rory left. "Good going there Mr. Hype. Going to blast someone with that energy too?" Alexis was having trouble holding back even though he really didn't want to cause trouble.

Violeta turned to Dulce. "For humans graduating highschool is kind of part of becoming an adult I guess." The excitement and other feelings as a result of Vega's energy made it a little harder to focus but Vi was doing her best. "The Forbidden Zone is great. The best barista I know works there," she giggled.

"After high school, we'll be more broken up. This is the last year we have mandatory classes, but after this we'll all have different degrees, with different requirements," Jude explained to Dulce. It wasn't as big a concern for someone like him or Rory, who were brand new, but for people who'd grown up together it was a bigger thing.

He glanced at Vega, his voice dropping a bit. "She's fine. Probably just too many people."

Finally. The last year of high school. Jake couldn't wait to be rid of this place; so many boring classes and he was sick of being told that his grades weren't good enough. That was the reason he skipped school a lot, which probably didn't help his case but he just hated the fact that he had to learn so much useless stuff. There was no point in him learning about differentiation or mitochondria if he was never going to need it. All he wanted to do now was do something with music. First, he needed to get over his stage fright but that was a problem for later.

As always, Jake was late; let's go with fashionably late. There were already so many people queueing up to receive their class schedule for the new year but it looked like the senior line was last to collect them. Usually, Jake would go over to someone he knew with an 'important question' just so he could skip the queue but he hardly knew anyone. He had had a few conversations with Jude but he hardly knew the guy. Instead, he opted to just go to the back. "Final year of school!" Jake yelled as he joined the back of the line. He wasn't one to make a normal entrance and just stand silently.

Jude was technically speaking at the front of the line, but that didn't stop him from leaning out, keeping an eye on the whole line and watching for people to join it. He spotted Jake, looking as estatic (and loud) as ever.

"You have good timing," Jude said, raising his voice slightly so Jake could hear him, and then turned away, back towards the school official who was just arriving, their arms stacked with folders. Despite the vaguely defined line that had formed, they instead called by family name, calling those without family name first. Jude was down near the middle, furiously texting Rory to let her know, and it was only once all the folders had been handed out that he turned back to the group as a whole.

"I'm going to head down to the Forbidden Zone, if anyone wants to come along," Jude said. He wasn't going to wait for a lot of confirmations--with the folder tucked into his bag, he headed out, off to go down to the forbidden zone.
People can leave this one or not - but we've gone quiet, so I'm moving onto the second thread I had planned. I'll mark this as finished in a few days.

Alexis stood there quietly and waited for his name to be called. His face darkened significantly as they called him by his full name, Alexis Brouillard, and then he rushed out after getting his schedule. He looked deeply upset about something as he left.

Violeta winced and moved to cover her ears a bit in reaction to the yelling but she didn't appear to have any lasting injury from it. Before she could say anything though the official had arrived to call out people's names. She giggled a little at the family name she had given herself. Escamilla was actually a city she had spent time in and not her real family name but it felt fitting. "I have some time to kill and The Forbidden Zone is good to hide form the sunlight even if it didn't smell wonderfully like coffee. I'll see you there Jude and anyone else who's going," she grinned and put her own folder beneath her cloak before slipping out.
