Alexis grimaced at the number of people gathering into lines to get their schedules. He just wanted to get his schedule and be done with it. Recent events had put a lot of concerns and thoughts in his mind but at least for now he had shoved all that aside to stand in this dumb line to get his dumb schedule.

"Getting this over with is right," he grumbled as he walked up right after the smiley hat girl finished talking. He nodded to Rory and Jude, the only two people he recognized in the group. "At least the line isn't too bad yet. I think i'd lose it if I had to wait here all day for this." Which was probably a lot more true than he wanted to admit. "I'm Alexis, I guess."



Violeta happily hummed as she walked into the room and looked around for the "Year Twelve" sign. Her body was mostly covered by her dull brown cloak except for her head. Taking off her hood was one of the first things she had done once inside and away from the direct sunlight. "Hi everybody," she cheerfully exclaimed upon reaching the correct line. Her eyes had a bit of a glazed-over look to them as she fed on the various emotions of the people around her. While most of them weren't giving off too many strong emotions there were a few in particular that were fairly tasty. "I'm glad I get to try being in normal classes instead of remedial next year. I'm Violeta!"

Dulce blushed at the kiss. "I guess we sort of are?" she'd answer with light chuckle. She wasn't sure what to call her relationship with Aaron. Were they friends, friends with benefits, dating, or whatever people like to call it. She hadn't really cared what to call it. She was there for him and he was there for her, although Aaron right now was a girl. That was something she was sort of jealous about too. She didn't know how to make herself a boy. "So different species and shape-shifting are new to you guys?" Is that even weird? Having been born right in the middle of the melting pot of powers, she hadn't thought about that. Two more people appeared and introduced themselves. "I think I'd lose my mind if I have to wait a whole day for this too. I have a show I have to catch... Oh, I should probably introduce myself again. I'm Dulce."

"Alexis!" Rory motioned him over to her and Jude. "Hey man! At this point, we're less of a line and more of a congregation. Chill over here with me.

"Nice to meet you, everyone. And yeah, shapeshifters are... weird, but I guess we had something similar in our dimension. All the species' are odd. Some of them are the same but totally different. It's like this place doesn't follow any sort of pattern or logic. Not as far as I've seen."

Jude gave Alexis and Violeta a wave as they arrived, grinning at Alexis's complaints. The guy was... well, he'd probably have bothered Jude back in Halcyon, but on Manta Carlos? It was nothing.

"They said it'd be like, fifteen minutes. They're doing the lower grades first," he told Alexis, happy himself that they weren't going to be hanging around. "But I figured I'd ask if anyone else wanted to go grab a drink."

Jennifer wondered if there was a barf bucket nearby. She was surrounded by cheek kisses and friendliness, God forbid. With a big sigh and a bite of her tongue to keep from saying something snappy right away, she said, "Jennifer." Even more new people popped up, but she kept looking anywhere but at another sapient being. When were the schedules getting handed out?

Callum grinned at Dulce and wiggled his ears a bit, having had the sense that the mystified look on her face could only be because of them. "You know it. My name's Callum Castor, not at your service." He eyed the newcomers with quirked brows and pulled one hand from his pocket to wave at them. His gaze then followed the rat into Rory's pocket with curiosity, but he'd rid himself of his weird catlike urges to devour every tiny creature in sight years ago. He'd gotten enough flak for leaving half-eaten mice all over the house. "It's all good; I don't mind rats. Their fur is safe with mine."

"Jenny and I," he got a harsh glare from the former, "were born and raised on this island. People usually get used to everything pretty quickly."

"I'd say we are, we haven't really put a label on the relationship," they enjoyed being with each other, it just sorta happened, it was maybe strange to most, but they were demons after all. "Ah gotcha, I grew up with it all, so it's all pretty normal to me, I've only ever visited the narrow reality to see family. Though if you've seen some of this stuff, then you're probably not from there?"

She'd chuckle at Rory's statement, "well, magic, guess when you have a society that defies science you kinda loose logic to an extent." Her tail would wind around her waist as more people came in, "you two seem to be doing pretty good though."

She'd smile and wave at Violeta and Alexis, "it's nice meeting some newer classmates."

"What's up, punching bag?" Vega said, after immediately teleporting into the general vicinity of Rory. There were so many people here already, holy crap. He grinned and waved to Jude, he'd definitely drawn some attention with that entrance. His outfit too, really... it was the damn leopard print shirt.

"You think we'll all be in the same class together?" Dulce asked with a bright smile. "If that's the case we should do something for that 'introduce yourself' segment on every first day of class." Why not? They were already getting along. Except those two grumps, however they seem to be enjoying themselves nonetheless. Her attention was drawn to someone who teleported in. Kind of hard to not notice when he was wearing the best damn looking shirt she had seen yet. "Your shirt is probably the best thing I've seen yet! Okay, maybe not as great as that galaxy shirt with a cat staring up, but that's definitely a very close second!"

Callum tilted his head at the teleporting Vega, but he didn't react much other than that. "Hey, Vega. Callum Castor." The number of people showing up was a little daunting for him as a catboy. His introversion said run, his little grin said hello, here to stay--until he got his schedule, anyway. Then it was nap-time. "Think any of us will have a class or two together?"
