He'd smile a bit, hugging her tight but gentle, having her close like this was comforting. "Well...you are very cuddly," they both loved hugs so it was always easy to get them from each other.

"Thank you," he'd sniff and wipe at his tears, "I'll uh, I'll try to come here when things get bad." Having a sanctuary to hide in sounded nice. "I'll have to do something to thank you for it....oh right, pizza," he'd say with a tiny chuckle, his tears starting to stop.

Zeke would gently press his forehead against hers with a tired sigh. "If it's ok with you I'll stay until night, by then everything should be calmed down and I'll be able to go home."

Lycia smiled wide. "You can stay as long as you like. My only plan for the day is testing my new blankets. You did help with that," she laughed and poked him in the side.

"You thank me too much. I am ok with hugging and listening any time. And you are nice and soft too."

He'd chuckle and snug close to her, his tears having finally stopped. "I love you Lycia," he'd say in a hushed voice, almost a whisper, gently pressing his cheek against her for a moment.

"I'll uh, get that pizza ordered," he'd say with a smile, "get us some sodas too." He knew she liked messy foods, so pizza would be perfect for dinner.

"Do you...uh.....do you mind if I stay the night?" he didn't want to go home that night, in truth he never wanted to go home really.

Lycia wiggled more or less aimlessly as she lay there on the bed but she kept close to him enjoying the company. "Yes, Pizza! And I think I have some popping corns we can make too." She was clearly excited about the sleepover. Or perhaps it really was just getting to eat fun foods.

Without hesitation Lycia smiled towards Zeke's voice. "You can stay. We can eat and be happy and then go to sleep with the smiles. No more tears during this night. And we can have fun in the Dream too!" She hopped out of bed to go rummage for the popcorn packets but didn't make it any more than one step before her foot caught in the loose end of one of her blankets, now messily strewn all about her bedroom. With a surprised yelp she lost her balance.

"Lycia?!" he'd jump up from the bed and run to her side. "You ok?" Zeke would gently wrap his arms around her waist as he tried to help her up, which was a tiny bit awkward because of their height difference. "Did you hit your head?" he'd brush her hair from her face, checking her for any injuries.

"Gotta be careful," he'd say once he was sure she wasn't seriously injured. "Don't want you hurting yourself," he'd hug her, chuckling a little.

"Anyways, what did you want on your pizza?" he'd ask, "what's your favorite toppings?"

Lycia giggled as he helped her up, rubbing lightly at the side of her face where she'd fallen. "It is ok. Sometimes I trip and fall. I am bouncy." She cheerfully responded. It didn't seem like she was injured. Or she didn't notice if she was. Chances were, given her general clumsiness, it wasn't the first time she'd taken a tumble.

Pondering what she wanted on the pizza though, she switched to facing Zeke and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "I do not know. I think the cheese and the pines apple and maybe some spicy meat? You know the pizzas better."

"Cheese with pineapple and pepperoni it is," he'd say with a small chuckle, wrapping his arm around her waist. The day had been terrible, but it looked like the night would be considerably better.

He'd have dinner with his girlfriend, they'd spend time together, being happy. There'd be no more tears, at least for tonight.
