Every story needs a villain. And my intention with this is to be able to provide that service for you, my lovely Starlight Academy community. Some of these characters tend towards darker, heavier themes, so buyer beware. And remember, even if you decide to plot with one of my less savory characters you can let me know at any time if you want me to ease up or drop the plot altogether. I want to make characters uncomfortable, not players. I'll add more as I expand my antagonistic repertoire.

Adalwolf Silvester
Adalwolf is a Scout working with the academy to bring new students from off island, to protect them from the Narrow Reality. He is also an unrepentant human hating bigot.

To Ada, humans are cattle who think too highly of themselves. The worst offenders are spellcasters, who steal magic from their betters to try and elevate themselves.

Ada can be an antagonist on two fronts. First, he can attempt to sway others to his way of thinking. Creating tension between humans and others (demons, undead, vampires, etc.) only benefits Ada's cause by giving him examples of how bad the humans really are. The organization known as Citizens Against Evil are one of his primary examples right now, but he is willing to utilize really any tactic to get other supernaturals to think like him.

Second, he can hunt your character. As a rule, he generally only hunts off island while he is on Scouting missions. The only times he breaks this rule is if he knows he won't be caught, either because he is hunting a human or he knows the person who he is hunting will not report his activity to the authorities.

Penelope Pernicious
Penelope is a potentially fun character to use because what she can do is limited really only to the imagination. She gets inside people's heads and messes around. Anything from terrorizing your dreams to stealing information from your head to straight up Freddy Kruger-ing you. Whatever brand of terror and frustration you want, Penelope can provide, and do so with an air of showmanship and bravado.

Bartholomew Woodman
Barty teaches magical defenses at Starlight Academy. He also subtly mind controls people to humiliate and demean them. This falls under a wide umbrella, from making them reveal embarrassing or terrible secrets about themselves to himself and potentially others all the way to using his magic suggestions to rape them. He is subtly misogynistic, who feel the major brunt of his ire and has a particular hatred for Selkie.

Students and other faculty are the easiest targets for him, but he can really worm his way into anyone's life.

Fitzroy Power
Fitz is a burglar, confidence artist, and general thief. He'll rob you blind and you might let him out the front door with a smile and a wave. On the flip side, Fitz can also be hired out to steal something from someone else. He himself isn't magical, but his crew is and if he has it his way you'll never know he's a normie.

So I am super interested in Penelope for two potential character arcs that need some furthering. Both of my characters I'll reference are linked in my signature for ease of access.

Lochlann Cabyll-Ushtey:
Lochlann is my water horse who is currently experiencing a relapse into drug & alcohol use after nearly a year sober. Lochlann has done dream work with two separate characters, the most notable Nightstripe's Emily. He's horrible at it and loses control frequently; in theory his previous dream work could make his mind more open or pliable or something.

At this point in time, I'm looking for someone who might have been contracted by an unknown source to mess with Lochlann's dreams and keep him utilizing drugs and alcohol.

My question is this: if Penelope has Lochlann use in his dreams, would her powers have him feel the effects upon awakening? Or is this strictly in the dream?

Thievenne "Moon Moon" Paget:
Moon Moon technically cannot dream. When he falls asleep, his soul slips out of his body and can go wander through other people's dreams. So far, this hasn't happened. Ven is also disgustingly optimistic.

I was wondering if a thread where Ven and Penelope meet in some sort of dreamscape could happen? I'd like Ven to escape, but if he's harmed along the way, that'd be great.

Would either of these scenarios be something you might be interested in plotting? If you don't think they'd work or you're not looking for these kind of plots, I understand completely and there's no worries if you say 'no'.

Thanks for your time!

Hey there! So looking at the ideas you have, I gotta say they're both interesting. I'm down for whichever you think you'd enjoy more, and we can hash out further details via PM if you'd be alright with that.

Lochlann
So while him using drugs in the dream wouldn't give him the effect when he wakes up (that only works when she kills someone), but she could keep him in a state of agitation od panic while he sleeps, effectively making the chance of him using to get through the day more likely.

I personally would be curious as to what kind of person would pay the fees associated with Penny to keep some kid on drugs, but she's not really concerned about that. As long as she gets paid, the 'why' doesn't concern her.

Moon Moon
Now this could be fun. Penelope herself often visits dreams of lovers and others she finds entertaining, since while she's in her Nightmare form she had difficulty interacting with the world around her.

Or she could be on a job, killing someone or stealing secrets from them.

As long as Moon Moon doesn't directly try and interfere with her work, she wouldn't try to kill them. She's got a playful slant and likes being theatrical, and having another dream walker is just one more face in the audience.
